I feel empty. The side of the bed where Alex was sleeping has grown cold. I can't find him anywhere, except for the traces he left behind—the scent of his body on my bed and room, his shirt, and the window that's been shut tight.
I just let out a heavy sigh. Last night was the first time he confessed his feelings—regardless of whether they were genuine or just sweet talk to get me to give myself to him—I no longer care.
I've already fallen; I've given myself completely to him. And even though I'm saying this for the last time, it feels like he'll be back.
This is certainly unfair to the other alphas who are also my mates. My biggest mistake, aside from sleeping with another woman's fiancé, is giving Alex special treatment and privileges while denying them to the others.
What if they demand the same? Would I give it to them?
