KOKSUKE BETRAYAL
A Shadow Ops shinobi rushed to inform Itami.
"Grandmaster Kosuke has betrayed the village."
Itami's expression darkened instantly.
"…Where is he?"

Kosuke shook his head.

Then He formed a hand sign.
ITAMI VS KOSUKE
"Fire Class Royal Flame!"
A massive fireball surged forward.
Itami responded instantly.
"Fire Class Counter Flame!"
The attacks collided exploding into smoke and ash.
In that instant Kosuke vanished.

He appeared behind Itami and kicked him into a structure.
But Before impact a portal opened.
Itami vanished reappearing safely in front of Kosuke.
"This ends now," Itami said.
His eyes focused.
Four spears emerged from a void launching toward Kosuke.
Kosuke sprinted up a wall leaping into the air to evade.
Mid-air "Fire Class Royal Flame!"
Another blast descended.
Itami opened a portal redirecting the flames away.
Kosuke smirked.
"You're too defensive."
"You'll lose like that."
He dove forward attacking with rapid strikes.
"Itami countered by ducking, grabbing Kosuke, kicking him in the face, kneeing him in the stomach, and then punching him down to the ground."
Kosuke hit the ground hard.
In an instant a spear formed.
Itami launched it but Kosuke rolled away.
Fast.
Too fast.
The two clashed again Weapons colliding.
Itami's sword burned with fire Kosuke deflected each strike with precision.
Then Kosuke twisted his body knocking Itami into a wall.
He rushed forward ready to finish it…

Itami's left eye activated.
From behind a spear flew.

Kosuke froze.
The spear pierced his abdomen.
POISION AND ESCAPE
Kosuke dropped to one knee.
Breathing heavily.
He gripped the spear Pulled it out.
Blood spilled.
"It's over," Itami said.
"That spear is coated with fire poison."
"I'll imprison you… and ask Lora to spare your life."
Shadow Ops surrounded him instantly.
Kosuke looked around.
Trapped.
Then he smirked.
"Not yet."
He summoned a small dragon beneath him lifting him into the air.
He escaped.
Itami reacted Opening a portal But stopped.
His aura was drained.
"…Damn it."
He turned.
"After him!"
The Shadow Ops gave chase.
THE FALL OF KOSUKE
Deep within the forest Kosuke's breathing grew heavy.
The poison spread.
His vision blurred.
The dragon beneath him faded and he crashed to the ground.
He crawled toward a tree Clutching his wound.

His body burned.
Footsteps approached.
The Shadow Ops.
He held his breath,silent and still.
THE SHADOW APPEARS
Then Something else appeared.
A figure.
Dark.
Shapeless.
Kosuke's eyes widened.
He drew his kunai.
"…Who are you?"
The figure stepped forward.
Eyes glowing Kokkorogan.
"I'm not your enemy," it said.
Kosuke's grip tightened.
"Why should I trust you?"
The figure tilted its head.
"You don't have a choice."
"You're dying."
Kosuke coughed Blood spilling from his mouth.
The poison was spreading fast.
"…Tch."
"…Fine."
A DEAL WITH DARKNESS
"Look at me," the figure said.
Kosuke hesitated… Then did.
The moment their eyes met Darkness surged.
It flowed into him.
His wound began to heal.
Then Darkness consumed everything.
Within the Mind
Kosuke opened his eyes.
He stood In a void.
"…Where am I?"
The figure appeared again.
"Your mind."
Kosuke clenched his fist.
"I don't care."
His voice hardened.
"I have a mission."
"To destroy Kurayami… and rebuild it."
"I need power."
The figure smiled.
"Then take it."
Kosuke narrowed his eyes.
"What's the cost?"
"A deal."
Silence.
Kosuke remembered.
"…You saved me before."
The figure nodded.
"You owe me."
Kosuke exhaled.
"…Fine."
THE CURSE MARK
Energy surged through his body.
He looked at his hand A mark appeared.
It Dark andPulsing.
"What is this?"
"A curse mark," the figure said.
"It grants you access to my some of my power."
Kosuke smirked.

"Thank you."
The figure chuckled.
"Save it."
"You'll repay me soon enough."
Kosuke's eyes sharpened.
"…Who are you?"
The figure stepped forward.
Its form becoming clearer.
More defined.
More terrifying.
"I am your master."
A pause.
