After the conversation with the Queen ended,Kai left the throne room and headed towards his sleeping quarters and began to make preparations to head towards the blood lake forest,He went through his cabinet and choose herbs for healing and warm clothes to wear during his training after kai finished packing the medical herbs and clothes in his backpack, he began to walk towards the door but before he could exit he heard a faint screeching whisper coming form the corner of his room where the candle the lits up his room does not shine, he stared attentively at the darkness when suddenly the darkness moved and a silhouette of a women with long hair formed out of it and stepped into the light staring at Kai with a smile evident on it's featurless face, Kai tilted his head left and right examining the shadow and the shadow did the same as if it was Kia's own reflection, as kai did this the shadow spoke.
"Why did you not tell your mother the full truth about what has been going on in your little head, about the voice that you have been enduring for the last fifteen years whispering , tormenting and demanding blood."
Kai looked at the darkness that took on the shape of a person infront of him and sighed.
" Because if i told her she would do everything in her power to heal what cannot be healed, I was born with these voices in my head constantly whispering in my head to devour everything and everyone from the moment that I first formed my first words as a infant and up untill now i have endured them and not gave in to them, I though that maybe if I could become a lehem practitioner the voices would dissappear but when I heard them again, as i looked at the two girls laying unconscious on the ground telling me to devour them i realized that I will always hear these profane ravings in my head telling me to liberate the souls of others by consuming and defiling them and I shall not if you they want destruction I shall give them creation I will not become like my father and give in to the profanity just as you taught me Aurora."
"Good, even if you told her she cannot help you, only i can do that but before i tell you a way to ensure that you never give in to the profane ravings you have to make a promise to me that once i suppress the ravings you will do something for me."
"No,thank you I do not trust you Aurora, how do i even know that you are not the one causing the ravings that are in my head since you appeared when they did."
"Tsek, you ungrateful brat after suppressing the profanity from taking over your sense if self you still dare to doubt me, but that is understandable I did appear when the ravings rung in you head but if I meant you harm I would have not suppressed the profanity in you."
"Yeah, Yeah I know it is all thanks to you that I am still sane, you alway bring that up whenever I question you but what made you manifest Aurora I have not seen you in months I thought you finally disappeared, for a second I thought the holy water and ingredients i have been using finally chased you away."
"Haha,haha,haha, if I was some unholy creature those things might have chased me away but I am not, the reason that I came to you is give you a technique of mine since you have finally awakened I don't want you to die in the blood lake forest."
Kai looked at the silhouette of the women that is formed out of darkness with wide open eyes.
"So you are willing to teach me a technique of yours, what is the catch what will I have to pay for it."
Kai looked at the silhouette with a excited smile.
AURORA maybe a creepy lady made out of darkness but one thing that I am certain of is that she is stronger than mother she might be on a whole other tier above her since mother has never ever sensed Aurora even seen her even when she stood infront of her, so if I can learn a technique from her that will certainly proof beneficial to me, as Ivar always says never refuse something that can make you stronger even if it's offered by a enemy,Kai thought to himself as he looked at Aurora.
"Yes I will teach you and no you don't have to pay anything,you surviving the blood lake forest is sufficient enough for me."
"Mhh, Okay I accept your technique teach me."
Aurora came stepped closer to kai held out her right hand and held her tumb against Kai's forehead and information suddenly entered his head.
"This is called blood petal manipulation, as long as you make your enemies bleed you can manipulate their blood to use against them, you can even use your own but since you are going to the blood lake forest you will have a big advantage now go."
Kai opened his eyes out stretched his left hand and thick crimson red blood flowed out of his and and took on the form of a sword as Kia willed it into existence after doing that he held it in his right hand a cut a small wound on his left palm.
"Mhh it is also sharp, I see this is pretty convenient for when I have no weapons on me."
Kai said while wielding the blood red claymore in his hand.
" Good, since you have figured out how to use this technique of mine in your own way you will learn more about it the more you use it now go."
Kai looked at Aurora bowed and began to walk towards the door before he could exit he stopped turned his head around and spoke.
"Oh, i almost forgot how did you know the way for me to achieve apotheosis since you whispered it in my head."
"That is easy your mother was not wrong about what she said, i am technically your ancient voice but at the Sametime I am something much more than a guiding voice that hails from your bloodline, one the time is right you shall know what and who I am untill then survive."
After Aurora answered him Kai turned his head around walked out the door and headed towards the throne hall once agian as he got closer to the throne hall he could hear people speaking and as he entered he saw the blood lake chieftain standing before the stairs leading up to the throne chatting and laughing with Esaros and Ivar, As Kai entered all three of them stopped the conversations and looked at him.
"Oh, you packed fast well it seems you are quite eager to venture into the blood lake forest, I have already told Sophia here that you will be paying a visit to the territory that she and her tribe guard and she has volunteered to accompany you to a place in the forest that only monsters of the first to third tier live in."
Kai looked at the blood lake chieftain with a smile and slightly bowed and Sophia returned his bow.
So her name is Sophia, mhh I did not expect it to be a ordinary name I expected something more blood sounding maybe blood Sophia something along those lines would be fitting, Kai pondered as he was bowing towards Sophia.
"Yes I am done with my preparations I only packed the essential thing that I will be using for my Apotheosis."
"Good then, Sophia you may take him with you."
" Yes your majesty, Kai follow me."
Sophia said while looking at the Kai. Kai looked at Ivar and Queen Esarosa he bowed and Siad his goodbyes and slowly walked behind Sophia as the exited the throne hall behind them Queen Esarosa and Ivar spoke.
"My Queen are you sure you want to send him to the blood lake forest,you could also send him to the outer settlements to fight against the monsters there not against the profane monsters located in the blood lake forest."
" I don't want to send him Ivar but Sophia has evaluated his abilities and she has confirmed that he has a chance to survive in the blood lake forest, even if he had no chance I have no choice but to send him to forcefully make him stronger for the upcoming war against the profane, you have heard the reports more and more lone walker profane beigns and monster have been actively killing my people they are no longer hiding they presence from me which means a profane beign that is on my level has appeared and their are planning to devour my kingdom."
" So that is why you allowed him to awaken so you are worried that he might be assassinated during the war by your family or die in the hands of the profane."
"Yes that worries me more than anything I have kept Kai in this castle his whole life to protect him against the brutality of royals who want to be my successors many children have died in this succession war but by keeping kai beside me i have kept him safe but know that a storm is brewing every ables person will conscripted to fight against the profane and as a ruler if this kingdom I cannot be bais so it is better that I prepare him early to fight against the profane and humans in a life and death situation."
" I see so you think that they will send someone to eliminate him since you have sent to the blood lake forest far away from yourself for the very first time, but what if the send someone of a high level tier than him."
"No they will not that is not allowed but if they do break the rules and send someone he cannot handle , I have ordered Sophia to intervene."
As Queen Esarosa and Ivar continued their conversations Kai and Sophia reached the gate leading out of the capital ltowards the blood lake forest after walking for about ten hours with Sophia in silence Kai kept stealing glances at Sophia while smiling as the reached infront of a settlement with people wearing blood red armor standing guard all around the entrance leading into the forest.
"Mhh, So your name is Sophia beautiful maiden."
Kai said while stealing a glance at Sophia.
" Beautiful lady, you spent to much time with Ivar you even dare to call me by name and even call me beautiful."
Kai rubbed hid hair and chuckled.
"Well it is your name and it is not like I am lying or anything."
"Well if you put it like that it's understandable but don't address me like that infront of others."
Sophia said as she turned her head towards Kai and showed a bright smile on her face.
"Okay I understand, I will address you by your name when we are alone."
Sophia looked at Kai and shook her head and came before the guards patrolling around the entrance of the forest. As the guards saw their leader they quickly bowed towards her and stood in attention.
" No need for formalities men, have an creatures tried to escape the forest"
"No chieftain"
The guards spoke simultaneously while eyeing Kai with angry gazes. "Chieftain may we ask who he is.
" One of the guards asked examining kai."
"No you may not "
Sophia said while passing the guards and entering the entrance of the blood lake forest, after walking for awhile Kia saw different kinds of mythical creatures and magical monsters in the forest as they kept walking in the forest kai stared to see water springs filled with thick blood and creatures drinking that blood.
"Do all the creatures drink blood in this forest."
"Yes, even those that are harmless towards us drink blood out of necessity."
" I see, so why have you all not taken over this forest and purged all the profane monsters and creatures dwelling within here."
" The Queen tried that once but all of the fifth tier monsters suddenly sacrificed themselves as we were killing every profane creature in this forest and three sixth tier profane beigns were born, that is when we learned that when faced with extinction these profane creatures can sacrifice their lives to give live to a much stronger one, after that a war broke out lasting for two years killing hundred of thousands of our people but the Queen eventually eliminated all of them all by herself and ever since then me and my people have been stationed here to isolate the creatures in these forest and kill any that tries to leave by the Queens order."
"Oh I understand she chose isolation over elimination to ensure that another war does not break out."
" Yeah but enough about the past I will leave you here now, all you have to do is kill as much profane creatures as you can to fulfill your apotheosis condition."
As Kai turned his head to face Sophia and answer her she had completely disappeared.
Kai looked left and right but could not find any trace of her.
"How rude to think she would just dissappear like that, now where do I find these so called profane creatures."
Kai walked around the forest for awhile not seeing any profane creatures and humans. After walking for awhile Kai decide to take a rest next to a blood spring, he lay next to the blood spring on the grass and closed his eyes after awhile he began to snore as he did this three creatures suddenly manifested from the ground, these creatures were four legged with black skin,white eyes,with sharp fangs protruding out there mouths, they had a tail filled with poisiness spikes, these creatures stood eight feet tall with large bodies and sharp long horns on they heads, these creatures slowly walked towards kai as if their were stalking their prey, the creatures slowly got closer to kai and stood five meters from him, one stood infront of him and the other two flanked him standing on his left and righ side before the creatures could pounce on him thousands of blood red petals suddenly flew out from the blood spring that Kai lay next to and rushed towards the creatures on his left and right simultaneously piercing through they skin and entering into their opened mouths as the third creature that stood infront of Kai was about to reach kai he opened his eyes and jerked himself up and a blood red sword rushed out of the blood spring and landed in his hand before the creature could reach him he leapt into the air swung his sword at it's head hoping to slice it clean off before the blow could land the creature blocked the blow with its long tail and landed on the ground at the same time the creatures on Kai's left and right were briddeld with holes all over their bodies with blood flowing out of out them as Kai's blood red petals dissappear as the red petals disappeared, the creatures rushed towards kai to assist their brethren kai suddenly raised his left arm in the air and closed his palm as that happend blood spike suddenly pierced out of the two creatures that were rushing towards him killing them on the spot as blood spikes were protruding out of their whole body including their ears,eyes,mouth,heads. After doing that kai rushed towards the remaining creature and once agian swung his sword at its head before his sword could reach it's head the creature deflected the blow with its horn and swiped it sharp steel claws at Kia chest landing a clean blow sending him flying and landing on his back as blood flew out of the claw shaped wound on his chest before Kai could get on his feet the enormous creature jumped on him pinning both his arms underneath it's claws pierced into both of his arms as he was pinned beneath it, a loud scream escaped his mouth as pain filled his body a loud angry roar cam out of the creature above him as it roared facing the sky and after a second it looked kai dead in the eyes and opened up it large mouth with sharp fangs protruding out of it, before the creature could bite of Kai's head off blood once agian came out of the blood spring enveloping both kai and the creature piercing into its tough skin before the petals could enter its mouth it jerked it's body away from Kai and angrily looked at him, Kai took this opportunity and got on his feet and looked at his wound with a smile and spoke.
" You are a strong one aren't you beast but it is a pity you fell for my trick and got your companions killed, I sensed all three of you the moment that you followed me you though you were the predator but you thought wrong."
As Kai said these words the creature roared louder with anger and insanity as it rushed towards him, Kai stretched his neck and run towards the creature as they were about to collided with each other the creature suddenly pounced at Kai's head before it could even reach his head, Kai slid below it's belly raising his blood red sword as it pierced into the creature opening a straight vertical line on it's underbelly, and coming out on the other side of the creature standing on the spot it stood with both their back towards each other. Both kai and the creature simultaneously turned around and faced each other, Kai faced the creature with a grin on his face as the creature saw this it once again rushed at Kai before it could even reach him it's belly opened up and it's organs fell out of the vertical wound on it's belly with blood oozing out of it. Kia walked close to the creature that had hate in it's eyes it looked at a predator that took the lives of it's brethren.
"Sigh,you have intelligence if you did not have it you would not have angrily rushed at me when I blamed your packs death on you, your intelligence was your undoing."
Kai said as he looked at the creature breath out its last breath, the last that was reflected on it's eyes was the person that killed it pack. As Kai turned around to walk away from the corpse of his defeated advisary a hundred of whispers rung in his head, Devour what you kill, devour what you kill,devour what kill saying these words over and over agian before he know it hundred of caterpillars rushed out his body towards the bodies on the ground devouring every last one of them in a second leaving nothing behind, after doing that those caterpillars returned to him and once agina fused into him as that happend a voice spoke in his head their are not enough kill more devour more.
mhh so these strange caterpillars in me can devour bodies and souls I wonder when can I have control of them, Kai thought to himself as he examined the caterpillars that fused into his body.
"Now, I wonder how much more can creatures do I have to kill to gain the title of blood warrior."
