I was constantly trying to reach Nick, but every time his phone came out of reach.
It's midnight and Nick didn't come to home yet.
I was too tensed. He never did this. He always came home before 8 p.m. or if he got late due to some, he always informed me.
He said that a man should balance his work and personal life also.
That's why he always gave his time to me and his work equally.
I was roaming here and there in Nick's wait.
I called his secretary. Secretary told me Nick has already left.
It made me more worried.
When I was about to go to look for Nick, sound of horn came into my ear.
I ran toward outside.
I saw Nick was coming out of someone's car. It's Lydia's car.
She also came out of the car.
None of them noticed me. They were talking to each other and laughing.
I got furious. I was this much tensed and he is laughing with other girl.
Nick noticed me.
I stood there with my folded hands, looking toward him.
Once our eyes met he realised his mistake and rushed toward.
He came and hugged me tightly and said, " I am so sorry, Babe. My phone was dead and I had to attend a urgent meeting with our shareholders.
He was telling truth. I can read his eyes. He is not lying.
Still i asked, " then why your secretary has no idea about this meeting."
I called him, he said boss had left the office.
He was about to say something, but Lydia interrupt.
She said, " actually he had no idea. We got know about this meeting when we left the office and also this meeting was on dinner so he didn't know about this."
I knew his secretary knew about the meeting. He never liked me so he didn't tell me about this for sure. So that his favourite madam can spend time with his boss. That rascal secretary, I will not leave him.
I looked toward Lydia and said, " Lydia, you should never interrupts the couple. I am sure you don't to be the reason of couples fight so always stay away."
Me and Nick have understanding and trust on each other so it's okay. But don't do it again with anyone else."
Then I smiled. I am sure she understood what I want to say.
I looked toward Nick amd kissed on his lips and said, " never do it again. I got worried."
He look toward me with the eyes full of love and said, " sorry my baby, I am a bad boyfriend, I made you worried."
He hugged me again and said, " I will never do this again."
I said, " I had made your favourite pasta but you have already eaten your dinner."
He replied, " then what, I will surely eat your pasta. I love it."
He was eager to pasta that's why he get into the house and directly went to the kitchen.
When Lydia was about to came inside, I stopped her and asked, " don't you have to go home."
She replied, " Nick told me to stay here."
I went toward Nick and asked, " will Lydia stay with us tonight."
Nick said, " Sorry I didn't ask you but Lydia's hotel is too far and it's too late so I told her to stay here."
"Are you upset."
I was but I lied , " No, You are so kind babe and I love your this nature."
Lydia had already came inside.
Nick took his plate in the plate, came toward me and gave me the first bite. Then he asked Lydia if she want to eat.
Lydia said, " Yes"
Nick told her, " the take it from the kitchen."
And started to eat his pasta. I saw Lydia's face. She was upset. She was thinking Nick will make her eat pasta by his own hand.
I sat next to Nick and cling to her. I said, " I want to sleep."
Nick told me , " let's go baby, you have to get up early."
I pointed toward a room and said to Lydia, " That's guest room, you can sleep there."
Lydia asked, " Where will Nick sleep?"
I looked toward her, she is really dumb or acting like a dumb.
I said, " of course, with me."
She said again, " actually I have a problem. I can't sleep alone."
I asked, " then with whom you slept in hotel."
Lydia got hesitated, then she said, " with my teddy bear."
She looked toward Nick and said with watery eyes, " you know na, how my parents died. After that accident. I have phobia of sleeping alone and woth stranger also."
I knew she said this last line willing bacuse she doesn't want to sleep with me she want to sleep with Nick.
How much shameless she is. How can she said this infront of me. She want steal my boyfriend. I can never let that happen.
I was about to say sometjinv but Nick interrupt me and said to Lydia, " I think you should go back to your hotel. I am sorry I let you stay here without thinking about your condition."
Lydia was in shock while me.....I want to laugh. I know this is cruel but I am cruel.
Lydia said, " what are you saying Nick, I can't go alone."
Nick replied, " It's okay, my bodygaurd will make sure you reach safely at your hotel room."
Lydia was feeling humiliating for sure. Her eyes was in too much anger.
She get out off the house while saying, " it's okay I am going."
I followed her. I know I don't like her but a women's safety is also important.
I can't let her go like this.
I called her name, " Lydia".
She looked toward me. I said, " don't go anywhere. I also have the teddy bear you can take that for sleep."
She asked," why are you letting me to stay."
I replied, " You are at my house so your safety is my first priority. Come inside."
Lydia was about to say something different. But she resist. She changed her tone and said, " okay show me your teddy bear."
I went to the room to bring teddy. When I came out I saw Nick and Lydia was talking like nothing happened.
It's unusual. Jack is also my childhood friend, but when I did something like this with him, he and I both took almost two days to get back normal.
I don't want to doubt but I can't resist myself.
