Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9: The Return

Elder Cryzton's gaze locked onto Zaiveil's, his eyes narrowing slightly as he pondered her question. The cosmos around them seemed to grow quieter, the stars and planets holding their breath in anticipation.

"Perhaps it's a side effect of your split soul." Elder Cryzton began, his voice measured and thoughtful.

"It's possible that your emotions are tied to the other half of your soul, which is currently residing in your physical body. Since this part of your soul has been separated from the other half for so long, it's likely that the emotions have been dormant, waiting to be reunited with the rest of your soul."

Zaiveil's expression didn't change, but Elder Cryzton could sense a flicker of something within her. She was trying to understand, to grasp the concept of emotions she had never experienced before.

"So, when the half of my soul returns to my body, I'll be able to feel emotions, right?" Zaiveil asked, her voice laced with a hint of uncertainty. She had always wondered what it would be like to feel joy, sadness, or love, those emotions that seemed to come so naturally to others, the emotions she never once experience.

"Yes, my princess. But I think it will be a challenge for you. You've never experienced emotions before, so you'll need to learn more how to control them. But don't worry, we will be here to guide you, to help you understand and manage your emotions. Your parents and brothers have been waiting for your return for such a long time, and they'll be overjoyed to see you wake up and be with them." Elder Cryzton nodded, his spirit form inclining gently.

As Elder Cryzton spoke, a warm smile spread across his face, his eyes shining with kindness and compassion.

Zaiveil's gaze met his, and for a moment, she seemed to see a glimmer of hope, a sense that she might finally be able to experience the emotions she had always missed.

"Oh, then I'll be in your care." Zaiveil said, her voice still cold, but with a hint of softness beneath the surface. It was a small crack in her armor, a tiny opening that allowed Elder Cryzton to see the vulnerable princess beneath.

Elder Cryzton's smile deepened, his eyes curling at the corners. "We will guide you in everything, my princess. We'll slowly teach you about our planet, our customs, and our way of life. You'll have fun, and you'll make new friends. Your family, the clan elders and the whole kingdom has been waiting for you."

Just as Elder Cryzton finished speaking, the surroundings began to tremble, the cosmos shuddering as if the very fabric of reality was being torn apart. The stars and planets around them vibrated with an intense energy, their light distorting and warping as the space and time itself seemed to flex and bend.

Zaiveil and Elder Cryzton's spirits were caught off guard, the sudden jolt sending them tumbling through the void like leaves in a hurricane.

The Traveler Spirit Sphere, which had protected them throughout their journey, glowed brightly as it absorbed the impact of the tremor. The sphere's surface rippled and pulsed with energy, its translucent walls flashing with a kaleidoscope of colors as it struggled to contain the shockwave. But even the sphere's protection couldn't completely shield them from the shockwave.

As they tumbled through space, Zaiveil's gaze locked onto Elder Cryzton, as if her eyes were asking what's happening.

Elder Cryzton's expression was calm, but his eyes were narrowed, his spirit form radiating a sense of urgency. His usually serene face was etched with a hint of concern, his eyes flashing with a fierce intensity as he gazed at Zaiveil.

"We're almost there, my princess," he said, his voice carrying an anticipation and excitement.

"We're approaching Creignmeia, and any moment now, your split soul will be reunited, and you'll be whole again." His voice was like a beacon of hope in the midst of chaos, a reassuring presence that seemed to steady Zaiveil's unsteady spirit.

The trembling intensified, the cosmos around them shattering like a broken mirror. The stars and planets fragmented into shards of light, their fragments hurtling through space like a billion tiny knives.

Zaiveil and Elder Cryzton's spirits were pulled towards a brilliant light, a portal that seemed to lead to the very heart of Creignmeia. The light grew brighter, its radiance illuminating the dark expanse of space like a supernova.

As they hurtled towards the light, the sound of the cosmos grew louder, a cacophony of whispers and screams that seemed to shake the very foundations of Creignmeia. The air was filled with the scents of the cosmos, a deafening roar that threatened to consume them whole.

Zaiveil's grip on Elder Cryzton's arm tightened, her eyes fixed on the light ahead.

And then, in an instant, everything in their eyes went white. The light enveloped them, a brilliant radiance that seemed to sear their very souls. The sound of the cosmos receded, replaced by an eerie silence that was almost palpable.

Unaware that after they land, they returns brought unanticipated phenomenon in the whole world of Creignmeia.
