Caesar placed Aurora on the long chaise and called Lucius to come quickly.
The latter was still confused and his questions weren't answered, but as a doctor, he knew his duty to save a patient comes first.
Checking her state carefully, Lucius' eyebrows kept moving. He raised it to his hairline when he found something, and knitted them together when there was something he couldn't fathom. Such an expressive face was definitely not ideal for someone in a game of cards. He'd be the first to be killed.
After attaching the IV drip to her arm and taking a bottle of medicine from his medical box, Lucius finally stood up from his kneeling position beside the chaise and glanced behind him where three men were observantly watching him in silence.
"Well… this is awkward." He was surprised they were even watching him. "You don't have to glare at me as if I failed an operation, you'd sack me up and kill me in a vat."
