Chapter 7 - Chapter 7. Training of faith

Morning sunlight filtered through the leaves of Ironroot Forest.

The forest was calm again, as if nothing had happened.

But Elior had changed.

He stood in a small clearing, facing Pyrolyn and Voltiger.

His eyes were no longer uncertain.

They were focused.

"We're not strong enough yet," Elior said. "Not to defeat Gym Leaders. Not to stop Team Umbra. Not to protect Legendary Pokémon."

Pyrolyn's flame flickered with determination.

Voltiger's body sparked softly.

Mira leaned against a tree nearby, watching silently.

"Training begins now," Elior said.

Speed Training!

"Voltiger, Quick Charge!"

Voltiger vanished in a flash of yellow light, reappearing behind a tree instantly.

"Again!"

Voltiger moved faster this time.

Then faster.

Then faster.

Until Elior could barely see it.

But that wasn't enough.

"Control your speed," Elior said. "Speed without control is useless."

Voltiger slowed slightly, focusing.

Its movements became smoother.

Sharper.

More precise.

Mira nodded slightly.

"You're learning."

Power Training!!

"Pyrolyn," Elior said gently. "Flame Wheel."

Pyrolyn rolled forward, surrounded by fire, crashing into a rock.

The rock cracked.

But didn't break.

Pyrolyn looked frustrated.

Elior walked closer.

"Power doesn't come from anger," he said softly. "It comes from trust. From belief."

Pyrolyn looked at him.

Elior placed his hand gently on its head.

"I believe in you."

Pyrolyn's flame grew stronger.

Brighter.

Hotter.

"Again," Elior said.

Pyrolyn used Flame Wheel once more.

This time—

The rock shattered completely.

BOOOOM.

Pieces scattered across the clearing.

Pyrolyn landed gracefully.

Stronger.

More confident.

Endurance Training

"Both of you," Elior said. "Battle each other."

Voltiger and Pyrolyn faced off.

They hesitated.

They were teammates.

Friends.

Elior understood.

"This isn't about winning," he said. "It's about growing."

Voltiger attacked first.

Thunder Strike.

Pyrolyn dodged.

Flame Wheel.

Voltiger countered.

The battle continued.

Fast.

Precise.

Controlled.

They weren't fighting with anger.

They were fighting with trust.

Both growing stronger together.

Mira watched carefully.

"You've changed," she said.

Elior didn't answer immediately.

He watched his Pokémon.

Then said quietly—

"I lost at the Gym because I thought belief was enough."

He clenched his fist.

"Now I understand."

"Belief must be supported by strength."

Something Awakens

Suddenly—

Pyrolyn and Voltiger clashed in the center of the clearing.

Fire and lightning collided.

And for just a moment—

A strange energy appeared.

A faint golden glow.

It connected Elior to his Pokémon.

Mira's eyes widened.

"What was that…?"

Elior felt it too.

Warm.

Calm.

Powerful.

Not forced.

Not controlled.

Shared.

Pyrolyn and Voltiger stepped back.

The glow vanished.

But something had changed.

They were stronger now.

Not just physically.

But spiritually.

Their bond had deepened.

Far away, hidden on a cliff…

The Legendary Pokémon watched.

Its ancient eyes glowed softly.

It remembered that energy.

It had felt it before.

Long ago.

It whispered in a voice only the wind could hear—

"The chosen one…"

Later that day—

A wild stone Pokémon attacked suddenly.

It charged toward Elior.

Fast.

Dangerous.

"Voltiger!" Elior shouted.

Voltiger moved instantly.

Faster than ever before.

Electricity gathered around its entire body.

Not just sparks.

But pure lightning.

It launched forward—

"THUNDER RUSH"

Voltiger struck the enemy in a single, devastating blow.

The wild Pokémon collapsed instantly.

Silence filled the clearing.

Elior stared.

"Voltiger…"

Voltiger looked back proudly.

It had learned a new move.

On its own.

Through training.

Through trust.

Through faith.

Mira smiled slightly.

"You're finally becoming a real trainer."

Elior looked at Pyrolyn.

At Voltiger.

At the path ahead.

"This is only the beginning."

His voice was calm.

But filled with resolve.

He would return to Stonecrest Gym.

He would defeat Darius.

He would stop Team Umbra.

And one day—

He would stand beside Legendary Pokémon.

Not as a child.

But as their equal.

And the journey continues
