Well… shit I was wrong. After staying over at Tatsuya and Miyuki's place we went to the place mother procured for us. Unpacking and settling in didn't take to long the house was already furnished. I went to explore while Kuro went to get groceries. It was during my exploration I found out there was only one bedroom. I quickly realized what mother was planning and realized I had no way out of it. I just sighed accepting my fate, I wish she'd stop being like this. Although I guess mischievous at my expense is better, than hateful bitch who wants the world to burn so silver lining.
After exploring the rest of the house I took note of the rooms there was a training area and computer for CAD adjustments in the basement. That told me the house was intended for people who planned to pursue being a magician, if they could use magic. After a while Kuro came back with a comical amount of groceries that she could only carry due to who and what she is. As she was putting the groceries away I called out to her.
"Kuro there is only one bedroom in this house so… you win." I said sighing
'ah well I've held back enough anyway. Besides mother is clearly pushing for it so why should I care anymore.' I thought
As expected her face lit up with joy. I'm starting to wonder if she's been talking to mother about me when I'm not around. It would explain why she's so adamant about being with me.
"Oh and hand me your CAD it's about time I do our regular maintenance" I said with my hand out stretched. She handed her CAD to me she also used a bracelet type CAD. The same model as mine.
Usually the bracelet type are favored by women but me and Kuro use them for two reasons, well three in kudos case. One they are easily concealed so great in a sneak attack situation if necessary. Two any other CAD type would interfere with our intrinsic magics. The third in Kuro's case is she wanted to match. She is unnecessarily simple and cute sometimes. Rather than wolf genetics sometimes I think they just took a big friendly dogs, but I know that's not the case I've seen how she tears through her foes.
"It's been a month since last maintenance already. You gotten any better at programming?" Kuro asked it wasn't a malicious question but it was a sore spot for me. I tried to learn programming from Tatsuya, but I only got as good as being able to maintain and adjustment spells. Anything more advanced would very difficult if not impossible. Though our view might be biased since our standard for good was Tatsuya. Other mechanics and CAD programmers skills weren't really shown or discussed much.
We didn't do much the rest of the day except move in and sleep. Kuro woke up the next day glowing me noticeably more tired and with sore hips.
We had opened up more to each other about our feelings if it wasn't obvious.
Today we devoted to studying, more so in Kuro's case. Her practical skills are monstrous. Mine are great to not on her level but still up there, but she dumb when it comes to book smarts. I don't know why she is so dead set on it though as practical skills hold an unfair amount of weight in the entrance exams anyway. I mean just look at Tatsuya. He was the top scorer in the story and was still placed in course two, because his practical skills were painfully average.
However I wouldn't question Kuro on this I decided to just support her in her endeavor. The rest of the of the days followed the same pattern. I had to talk Kuro out of sex last night, because we had to be on time for exams tomorrow. Atleast I'm not worn out because of it anymore she must've been pent up or something for awhile.
The written exam was well boring it was mostly technical jargon and and magic theory. I just wrote down what a knew and for anything else I guessed. I saw Tatsuya and Miyuki. However both Kuro and I did what we were told and didn't act familiar with them. Kuro was well sad she was pretty sure she didn't do well on the written exam. I promised her 'fun' tonight when we got home. She the flashed a smug grin like she had just won the lottery or something. It was then I knew I'd been played.
The practical exams were honestly equally boring it was just forcing a small robot to move in as few sequences as possible as fast as possible. We were behind Tatsuya, Miyuki, and… I think her name was honoka I don't remember to well.
"Miyuki Shiba." Called the proctor
Miyuki was called up to take the test she did it as quickly and perfectly as possible. A lot of adolescent boys and girls were staring at her.
I just scoffed internally 'That walking bro-con of a time bomb. She's not that hot.'
"Tatsuya Shiba." He called
Tatsuya walked up and did about as poorly in the anime so no suprise there. I saw the girl who I thought was honoka staring at his psion emissions. Okay you do you girl.
The proctor just looked disappointed
"Honoka Mitsui." He called
'Oh cool I remembered her name correctly, anyway' I thought
Honoka took a few deep breaths before walking up to the console for the test. She did much better than Tatsuya but still worse than Miyuki.
Kuro was next.
The proctor looked at the tablet and frowned. Probably though Kuro's name was weird.
"Kuro Zetsumei?" He called, not sure if he was correct because of what zetsumei means.
"Here!" Kuro said loudly
He had a slightly confused look on his face but shrugged.
"Please come forward" he said
"Yes!" Said Kuro walking up to the console and channeling her magic into it. She did as well as Miyuki. Not suprised if it weren't for her mainly specializing in melee combat and highspeed movement she would be a more terrifying magician.
Kuro walked away from the podium winking at me as she went by.
'Damn smug dog. *Sigh* and I wouldn't want to have her any other way' I thought sighing internally.
I was next.
The Procter looked at the tablet to see who he should call next
"Ryu Yot-" the proctors eyes widened in shock as he cut himself off obviously suprised to see my family name. He took deep breath and continued.
"Ryu Yotsuba." He called.
You could here a pin drop. It was so quiet after he called my name those in the same line behind me looked at me like they were staring at a monster. The other test takers basically did the same wether fear or intrest. The Yotsuba are well know but not in a good way. To everyone else we are a mysterious enigma to be feared. They aren't completely wrong though a lot of them members of the Yotsuba are awful.
'I'd like to think I'm less so though. However infamy is a hard thing to overcome' I thought as I walked over to the testing console and began the test. My psions emitting a dark red color.
I did it perfectly as well just like Miyuki and Kuro. I guess that mean either me or Miyuki will be class reprentive for or grade. Kuro's definitely not as much as I love her she dumb. So for class rep it will ironically come down to who did Better on the written exam. Hilarious considering how little I said it mattered.
I went home as I couldn't find Kuro on the campus. That and everyone was eyeing me like a was about to kill them. Gonna have to work on improving my Image. The youtsuba's reputation is already shot to hell though. Well we I'll get the exam results tomorrow. Perks of more advanced tech than my original time computers move faster.
I entered my house and was immediately ambushed by Kuro, as soon as I shut the door. She was very intent on me keeping my promise.

I just didn't want to delay chapters because I could write a decent lemon. I will also do side chapters of missions taken in the three years before this with the battalion.
