We arrived at and entered class 1-A. I immediately noticed the two major characters Honka and Shizuku. As well as that privileged little shit Morisaki Shun.
I also noticed he immediately started staring at Miyuki.
'Simp' I thought as I took a seat near Shizuku and honoka
Honoka looked scared of me. Understandable she was pretty timid early in the story. That and the Yotusba have a boogeyman level reputation.
Shizuku was unreadable. She was kinda a kudere like in behavior. She always appeared more pragmatic. Her father has had some business dealings with us. Some lesser members of branch families being body guards and stuff like that. Not every Yotusba is competent enough to work at one of the clans companies. I think I saved her father from a terrorist attack a year or two ago too. I am unsure of that though, I don't remember every mission I've been on.
Kuro saw someone sitting next to me and walked up to them. It was some extra she didn't even bother to threaten them she just grabbed him with one hand and tossed them clearly not thinking of the consequences. Much to the shock of everyone. As she sat down and started staring at me while smiling. It was at this point it was an unspoken agreement was made. Don't get between Kuro and me. The extra she tossed didn't bother to complain. He wasn't hurt and didn't want to deal with the 6ft4 dog girl who could toss him like he weighed nothing. Understandable really.
I sighed at her antics. I then introduced myself to my desk neighbors who were major characters, but not before sending a death glare to Morisaki. I don't know why, but simps like him just bother me.
"Hello, I'm Ryu Yotusba, but you can just call me Ryu. I'm not comfortable being called by my family name. Oh, and this is my Fiancé Kuro" I said introducing myself and her. I heard some guys groan at that.
Kuro ignored them and just waved at waved happily at Honoka and Shizuku
'The fuck you see her throw someone like he ways nothing with one hand and you think "would". Stop it gets some help.' I thought flabbergasted.
"I'm Shizuku Kitayama, and thank you for saving my father a year ago. And you can just call me Shizuku." She said in her trademark deadpand voice. Honoka looked flabbergasted at both that information and that her best friend was willingly talking to me.
'Ah so was right I did save him.'
"No problem and don't sweat it was a mission afterall" I said waving my hand like it wasn't a big deal for me.
At this point Honoka gathered up enough courage to attempt to introduce herself.
"I-I'm Mitsui Hono. Ouch!" She bit her tongue. Her eyes teared up
"Her name is Mitsui Honoka she's shy and nervous because of your families reputation. She'll probably be okay with you calling her Honoka." Said Shizuku looking at Honoka.
Honoka just nodded.
"Well I hope to have a great year with everyone. Oh, and don't mind Kuro she's actually really nice if you don't upset her." I said
The class on magic theory was actually interesting to me. I think I might be able to improve my programming skills and use my magic more creatively. We were heading to lunch. Morisaki and his followers tried to tag along with us, but a death glare from me and Kuro was enough for them to fuck off. I'm pretty sure Kuro was doing it just because I was. She didn't question it though.
We got to the cafeteria. Tatsuya and his friends?, classmates?, hard to tell with Tatsuya. They were there eating lunch. Kuro and I were gonna go eat lunch by ourselves, but Erika, being weirdly out going towards me, invited Kuro and I along with Shizuku and Honoka to join them. We decided to accept since it would be rude to refuse.
"Well there seems to be a face amongst you I don't recognize from earlier." I said while gesturing to Leonhardt Saijou.
'If I recall his grandfather moved here during the war from Germany. It wasn't a term when the anime or novel came out, but he totally has himbo energy.' I thought
"I'm Leonhardt Saijou. You can just call me Leo though. I'm suprised some of you course one students are interacting with us. Also why does she have animal traits?" He asked. He was very friendly about it. It was sheer curiosity in his voice no disgust.
"A pleasure to meet you Leo. You might know my name already, but I'll introduce myself because it's polite. I'm Ryu Yotsuba I hope we can get along. As for the course one thing as I said in my speech. Miyuki here is Tatsuya's sister. Kuro and I have seen actual combat. So we are more than aware that casting speed and calculation area aren't everything on a battlefield. As for Honoka and Shizuku I can't really speak for them as we've just met really. As for Kuro the short version is a side effect of a unique magic she possesses. Also you should introduce yourself Kuro." I said introducing myself and eplaining my views
"Hello! My name is Kuro Zetsumei. I like fighting and Ryu my fiancé." Said Kuro she was very enthusiastic.
As expected he didn't even flinch at the mention my family name. I'm starting to feel I'm gonna have to answer that question about Kuro a lot for awhile. I hadn't needed to because everyone in the military and Yotsuba house was used to it.
"She's…energetic. But about what you said. It makes sense as the main job for most magicians at the moment is to join the military or work as bodyguards. Magical engineering is still a relatively new field of study afterall." Leo said with a contemplative look.
"Wow you can actually understand what he said?" Said Erika with a teasing grin
"What's that supposed to mean!?" Said Leo clearly annoyed.
They proceeded to argue. It was a moment of peace in a way that was quickly interrupted by the simp.
"HEY!! You five why are you hanging out with those incompetent weeds!? Shouted the simp as I refuse to refer to him mentally as anything else. My eyes darkened as I stood up. I saw him teeth gritted as if our existence and ideal personal offended him.
I looked at him my voice low and cold.
"Do you know who the fuck your talking to you insignificant worm." I said my tone full of venom and annoyance.
He was taken aback by my casual use of profanity.
"Y-y-your Ryu Yotsuba. You why are you defending them?" He said stuttering and startled by my tone.
"Three reasons." I said coldly
"One I hate you, personally, your very existence and personality offend me. A mere Hundred Families ant with a technique that is useless once a fight actually starts. Two you call them weak when nearly everyone at that table could mop the floor with you before you could even blink. You've never seen combat I can tell how good they are by a glance." I said my anger rising
"Lastly my third reason for you and any other person whom believes this whole "weed and bloom" nonsense. You all have no right to decide the worth of another we are the ones who decide our own personal worth" I shouted
I took a deep breath to calm myself
"You and the idiots who think themselves superior are pathetic for needing outside validation. So shut up before I make you regret it. Rules of the school be damned." I said my tone promising violence if he kept up his bullshit.
I didn't even look back as I walked back to the table. The cafeteria had gone silent after my shouting. I think I saw Mayumi Saegusa, who happend to be nearby, send me a look of appreciation for my words. You could hear a pin drop in the cafeteria. The silence was broken by Erika laughing loudly. The simp had already run off.
"Damn…" said Leo
"Hahahahah! Wow, the look on his face as you scolded him. Priceless hahahah" Erika laughed.
"So did you really mean it when you said you hated him personally? Why?" Asked Leo perplexed. Erika and Mizuki looked at me also curious of my answer.
"People like him believe talent and being born into a important family are everything. It is offensive to me. It also shows how stupid he is. He didn't Erika realize Erika is a member of the ten master clans as well. It's equivalent to a baron calling out high rank nobility." I said still very annoyed.
"Why is it offensive to you though aren't you talented and born into the prestigious Yotsuba family?" Erika asked she was genuinely curious.
"I wasn't born Yotsuba. I'm an orphan whom was adopted at the age of 5 by the clan head, Maya Yotsuba. The reasons for my adoption I won't go into the details they are not important. While it is true my unique magic is powerful but I had to train to get where I am now." I said relatively calmer now.
It wasn't a secret I'm an orphan. Not a lot of people know because I don't get out much and I don't really advertise it. Kuro hugged me in an attempt to comfort me.
They looked at me was like I shattered their entire view of me. Erika's gaze visibly softened and even Mizuki looked less scared of me,although still scared because of her weird aura vision. Leo was nodding completely understanding why I was pissed off. Tatsuya and Miyuki also pretended to look suprised.
'Those two are really good at acting I've realized.' I thought to myself
Well maybe there will be people who understand me besides Kuro, mother, a few other members of the Yotsuba, Tatsuya, and Miyuki.
As we were leaving I was greeted by President Mayumi asking me to visit the student council room tomorrow after school. I agreed knowing I basically stole part of Miyuki's role in the story.
Authors note: welp chapter 12 I hope people are enjoying this. If it wasn't obvious by the way I've had Ryu treat I hate the little shit Morisaki Shit. Especially early on he's an entitled ass who can't admit people are better than him. Huffing ALL the copium. When he has been continuously shown he's inferior to others, but instead of improving himself. He just bitches and says I'll show you like a Saturday morning cartoon villain. I know he gets better but the damage was done by that point for me.
