It felt like the right thing to say since he asked.
The odds of meeting him at the bar were high enough that I met him every time without fail. And the fact that he asked about Connor having siblings was something that, even if it was just me being paranoid, I couldn't just dismiss as a coincidence. He had been the nicest he'd ever been tonight, although he was a jerk at the start of the evening. That's why I decided to be honest in my reply, since I was actually planning on never coming back—or at least not for a very long time. I should probably avoid this place. It's a pity since Ruben's here too, but it's either that or risking Xavier learning that Connor isn't what he thinks he is. Well, he doesn't even exist if I'm being particularly honest about it.
But then again, I didn't think he would directly ask for my phone number.
"If you're not coming back in a while, then give me your phone number. We can meet and drink something once you're free."
"Uhm... Xavier..."
