Natasha's eyes were serious, burning with a cold fire, but it didn't really matter to me. I wasn't going to agree to marry her even if she had the old man on her side. Besides, her habit of coming unannounced, uninvited, and staying at my office forcefully for hours—even though I told her she wasn't welcome—wasn't going to change my mind.
