Logan returned that same night, the fight only lasted 1 minute and he let out some of his frustration.
The next day rolled around, and Logan, Tess, and Annie were supposed to start planning the funeral, but this time Logan decided to take control.
"Annie get rest and take care of Tess, I'll take care of all the other things." Logan said when Annie was about to start working, "it's ok, you can cry all you want now" he whispered that last part. Annie teared up, she was to stressed to fight back and went back to her tent.
Logan sent many messages, one to the maple family, multiple to the capital to hire builders for a new house, funeral planners, requesting homework from the headmaster, and requesting a leave of absence from work for Annie.
After sending the messages Logan got to work chopping down trees, he used magic for efficiency, he created a log house for Tess and Annie, one for the soldiers, and a guest house. It took Logan the entire day for Logan to finish them, and by the end he slept with the soldiers.
He continued working for a month, making a suitable house for the maple family, and improving both of the houses already there. The home work arrived, so he gave the work to Tess and said, "you can take your time, but if you want things to do I have your class work." Annie tried to stop Logan, but Logan got mad at Annie and Annie stopped.
It had been around a month so the funeral planners would be arriving soon. When they did arrive Logan immediately started helping them plan, not leaving any room for breaks.
A week later the funeral was almost ready, and the maple family arrived, Cason immediately asked Logan where Annie was. "She's in that house" Logan said plainly, pointing at the house, "and for you guys, I have a house for you" Logan said to the remaining maple family members, leading them to the house he made for them.
Laina was with them, "hey Logan" Laina said trying to get Logan's attention with concern, "the funeral is almost fully planned, if you could be patient it will be ready in 2 days."
Logan was in battered clothes with messily made hair, his tone of voice was completely different based off of the events that had occurred. Cason was too concerned about Annie so he hadn't paid much attention to Logan, but that wasn't the case for the rest of the maple family.
"That boy, is he okay? I mean he just lost his parents, his house destroyed, and he is acting completely fine." The mistress said when Logan took them dinner, it consisted of crude ingredients but still appetizing and proper looking.
"I agree, and based off how he's acting it seems like he's running the show" the master said. "I wonder how we can help?" Laina said, Cason wasn't with them because he was with Annie helping her cope.
The day of the funeral rolled by, and Logan didn't have a suit so he thought he would ask the maple family to borrow one. "We do not care what you wear, just mourn you're family." This was a crack in Logan's walls, reminding him that his parents died, but Logan didn't let that ruin his performance.
Logan's performance had been so good that it even fooled him most the time, but that crack had snapped him out of the act. In order for Logan to trick himself again, he started to work on cleaning up the build site for where the new house was going to go.
He let that consume his mind until the time of the funeral came too, it was in the evening so everyone could get ready.
"Today we celebrate the lives of—— Logan's mind drifted off and he entered autopilot, robotically doing his speech, and accepting everyone's condolences.
Cason finally snapped out of his caring husband act, and he got reminded that two other people lost their parents, by seeing how Logan was acting.
"Is he okay?" Cason asked Laina after giving Logan his condolences, "I don't know, he has been acting like this since we got here" Laina answered back, "I feel bad".
Logan stayed in that robotic mode for the rest of the night, on the outside Logan looked fine and even acted fine, but on the inside his mind was repeating one thing, "how do I finish the demonic race" this repeating thought was the subject of Logan being unable to fully restrain his emotions anymore. His mind wasn't listening anymore, he was only strong enough to keep his thoughts from being exposed.
He felt like he couldn't hold in his anger so he decided to let it out that night. One thing Logan learned in school was about how humanity was in a constant battle with the demons, it was towards the south, and that was the large swell of mana he detected.
So that demons boss was just a general for the army that was attacking, "oh well, it is a battle that I want to fight" Logan whispered that night, as he was sneaking out to go to that battle.
The battle was over 1000 miles away so it would take around four hours to reach the battle field, and it was approximately one in the morning when he left.
On the way to the battlefeild Logan new he might get recognized, so he thought up ways to hide his identity. It wasn't until 2 hours later that he remembered a spell he made with light and dark magic.
It was a kind of simple magical structure all he had to do was surround something with light magic, and layer the light with dark magic.
During Logan's studies with light and dark magic he realized that light magic was positive energy, and dark magic negative energy. What that means to other people it that they can either heal people or make people die. It wasn't that simple for Logan though, what it mean't for Logan was he could take any energy from any object, and give any energy.

"It may sound simple but it is anything but simple, remember back in school when they went over kinetic energy, and potential energy those things are both energy, one is energy that is being used, and the other is stored energy. Right now Logan has both energies and is using kinetic energy to move towards the battlefield, a ball held up in the air has potential energy.
So when that energy is either used up or taken it cannot move, in the earth that you guys are from that breaks the laws of physics, but in veil magic exists and the laws of physics aren't applied with magic.

How that works for disguising him, is by stopping the light particles that people use to see, makes no one able to see him and by having light magic on the inside he can see out.
Soon he reached the battle field, and dusk was breaking through the mountains in the distance. He didn't see any battle going on right now, but he did see some figures approaching the side on the north, "it's probably a sneak attack from the demons" Logan said about to engage the figures.
When he got closer he saw that they were demons, "damm demons" Logan said not able to suppress his anger anymore.
A rumbling roared over the peacefulness of dusk, Logan completely surrounded the demons with earth, and quickly after burned the earth above them into magma.
The weak ones died after contact, but the stronger ones defended themselves with magic, and started to attack Logan. Logan didn't let them countinue, using his powerful mini flames to finish off the rest.
Logan thought it was too easy, and looked around for where their base was it was in the direction the demons were heading from.
Instead of just killing all the demons, Logan had went fully mad, "they are too easy to kill, I want them to suffer." Logan put casted gravity magic and made himself 1000x his own body weight, and wasnt going to use any magic.
"No magic equals slow kills, and slow kills mean suffering". Logan spotted the demons, and started laughing. Logan wanted to strike fear in their hearts, and so he let his laughter ring out.
From the soldiers point of view, they couldn't sleep through all that ruckus, so the first thing they saw when rushing out the tent, was a blank figure, and laughter ringing through the battle field.
From the demons point of view, they saw a figure standing atop a cliff, laughter, with the only thing clearly visible a face, it was white with two dotted eyes, and a smile spread across its face.
Logan had successeded in striking fear in their hearts, but instead of just the demons, fear loomed all over the battle field, Logan's bloodlust undeniable.
Logan sped towards the demons not letting his weight affect him, creating a sword on the way, cutting many demons before engaging in battle with what looked to be the strongest on the battlefield at the time.
"You're too cocky, someone should teach you a lesson" the demon said, Logan just laughed, "I don't need any lessons" he said cutting off his legs, "aagh" the demon screeched, "if I can't live, no one can!" The demon swelled with dark magic, and soon exploding.
Strong demons have a technique to self destruct, by overwhelming their body with dark magic, it effectively creates a positive effect, by crudely multiplying the negatives together it has a explosive effect.
Logan blocked the explosion indirectly with his disguise, Logan had inevertently remembered that no energy means nothing can get passed. Since he wasn't using any magic aside from the gravity magic his light and dark magic, had grown in concentration.
The ground had been destroyed underneath him, and the only demons left standing were either outside the blast radius, or the ones in the tent. They appeared shocked, Logan though attacked them almost immediately.
It was a bit of a struggle for Logan to incapacitate them, but in the end they were either left without limbs, or dead from bleeding out.
Logan had got a lot of his anger out, and he was able to regain composure, since he hid his identity he decided to return.
