Chapter 4 - 4. A Dangerous Offer

Myra thought this was it.

The big break.

The opportunity she had been waiting for.

When the photographer called her to his house at night, saying he had "something important" to discuss, her heart raced with excitement.

She dressed up carefully — confident, glamorous, ready to impress.

Tonight could change her life.

Or so she believed.

When she entered his house, the atmosphere felt… strange.

A small table was set in the center.

A bowl filled with ice cubes.

A bottle of alcohol half-open.

Two glasses.

He was already pouring himself a drink.

Myra forced a polite smile, but something inside her felt uneasy.

Quietly, without letting him notice, she sent her live location to Chahat on WhatsApp.

It was almost midnight.

Chahat was asleep.

So Myra called her.

The moment Chahat answered, the line disconnected.

That was enough.

Chahat instantly checked her phone again and saw the location.

Her heart dropped.

Something was wrong.

Chahat wasn't bold like Myra.

She was scared.

But for her best friend, she could fight the world.

She immediately called Aarav.

"Myra is in trouble," she said, her voice shaking. "We need to go."

Without asking questions, Aarav grabbed his car keys and reached outside her house.

Chahat's family was strict.

Girls weren't allowed to go out at night.

But that night, fear for her friend was stronger than fear of rules.

She quietly slipped out and got into Aarav's car.

Unaware that someone from her family had seen her leaving.

Another storm was waiting at home.

Meanwhile, inside the house—

The photographer smiled at Myra.

"I can take you very far," he said smoothly. "I can give you everything you want."

Myra's eyes lit up. "Really?"

"But…" he leaned closer, "you'll have to make me happy first."

Her smile faded.

"What do you mean?"

His answer was disgusting.

"Spend some time with me. That's all."And your career will shine."

For a second, Myra couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Then anger exploded inside her.

She picked up the glass from the table and threw the drink at his face.

"How dare you?"

His ego shattered.

And with it, his mask fell.

He caught her wrist tightly.

"Don't act smart."

Myra tried to pull away, shouting for help.

He laughed. "No one will come."

But he was wrong.

At that very moment—

The door burst open.

Aarav.

Behind him, Chahat.

Aarav pulled him away forcefully.

Chahat rushed to Myra, covering her with her dupatta, holding her tightly.

"You're safe," she whispered.

Aarav didn't hold back his anger.

Within minutes, the police were called.

The man who thought he could exploit dreams was finally exposed.

In the car, silence filled the air.

Instead of relief, Aarav was furious.

"Are you out of your mind?" he snapped. "You went alone? At midnight? To a man's house?"

"We were terrified!"

Myra's pride stood tall.

"I didn't ask for your help. I could've handled it."

Her eyes shifted toward Chahat.

"You sent them, didn't you?"

Chahat stayed quiet.

"Yes, I did," she admitted softly.

Myra's anger flared. "Who asked you to interfere?"

Aarav immediately spoke up. "She saved you."

"Stop defending her!" Myra shouted.

For a moment, it felt like the friendship might break.

But Chahat stayed calm.

"It's late," she said gently. "Let's just go home."

Eventually, Aarav dropped Myra first.

Then he dropped Chahat.

But when Chahat entered her house—

She froze.

Her family was awake.

Waiting.

And their faces were not calm.

What consequences will Chahat face for stepping out at midnight?

Will Myra realize who truly stood by her?

And how will this night change the equations between the three of them?

To find out… stay with the story.
