(Rain pounds against the window. Grey skies. Perfect day to stay inside.)
Sui: (looking out) "It's pouring."
Yui: (also looking) "No school today?"
Kenta: (at his desk) "The announcement said classes are canceled."
Sui: (clapping) "STAY HOME DAY!"
Yui: (also clapping) "WITH KENTA-KUN!"
(They tackle him from behind.)
Kenta: (stumbling) "I was working."
Sui: (grabbing his pen) "Not anymore! Rainy day rules!"
Kenta: "What rainy day rules?"
Yui: (grinning) "We just made them up! Rule one: No studying!"
Sui: "Rule two: Cuddles!"
Yui: "Rule three: Board games!"
Kenta: "I don't know any board games."
Sui & Yui: (in unison, gasping) "YOU DON'T KNOW BOARD GAMES?!"
Kenta: "I solve problems. I don't play games."
Sui: (determined) "THAT CHANGES TODAY!"
Yui: (equally determined) "WE'LL TEACH YOU!"
Kenta: (sighing) "Fine."

[Scene: Living Room - Board Game Setup]
(They've moved to the small living area. Sui pulls out boxes and boxes of games.)
Kenta: (staring) "You brought all of these?"
Sui: "I've been collecting since I was a kid!"
Yui: "We used to play together before... you know... moving."
Sui: (holding up a box) "Let's start with something easy! Sorry!"
Kenta: "Sorry?"
Sui: "It's a game! You move pieces and try to get home!"
Kenta: (analyzing) "Probability-based movement. Random chance. Inefficient."
Sui: (pouting) "It's FUN!"
(They play. Kenta loses. Intentionally? Maybe not.)
Sui: (winning) "HA! I beat the genius!"
Yui: (also winning) "Me too!"
Kenta: "The game relies on luck, not skill."
Sui: "That's the point!"
Kenta: (thinking) "Inefficient. But... fun?"

[Scene: Knock on the Door]
(Knock knock knock.)
Sui: "Who could that be?"
Yui: (opening) "Oh!"
(Takahashi stands there. Soaked. Holding a bag.)
Takahashi Kenji: "RAINY DAY! I BROUGHT SNACKS!"
Kenta: "You walked here in this rain?"
Takahashi Kenji: "For snacks and games? ABSOLUTELY!"
(He shakes off. Joins them.)
Takahashi Kenji: (seeing the games) "Board games! Perfect! What are we playing?"
Sui: "We just taught Kenta-kun Sorry!"
Takahashi Kenji: (grinning) "Did he win?"
Sui: "NO! He's terrible at luck-based games!"
Kenta: "They're not logical."
Takahashi Kenji: "Then let's play something logical! Chess!"
Sui: (confused) "Chess?"
Yui: (also confused) "What's that?"
Takahashi Kenji: (pulling out a chess board) "Only the greatest strategy game ever invented!"
(Kenta looks at the board. Pieces. Black and white.)
Kenta: (thinking) "Symmetry. Movement rules. Capture mechanics. This is... interesting."

[Scene: Learning Chess]
Takahashi Kenji: "Okay, so each piece moves differently. Pawns go forward one, but capture diagonally. Rooks move horizontally or vertically. Knights move in an L-shape—"
Kenta: (interrupting) "Show me all the moves. Once."
Takahashi Kenji: (demonstrating) "Bishops move diagonally. Queen moves any direction. King moves one space any direction. Checkmate is when the king can't escape."
Kenta: (studying the board) "I understand."
Sui: (amazed) "That's it?! You understand?!"
Kenta: "The rules are simple. The strategy is complex."
Takahashi Kenji: "Wanna play a practice game?"
Kenta: "Yes."
(They play. Kenta loses. Badly.)
Takahashi Kenji: (crowing) "HA! I beat the genius!"
Kenta: (analyzing) "I see. I focused too much on immediate threats. I need to think several moves ahead."
Takahashi Kenji: "That's chess!"
Kenta: "Play again."
(They play. Kenta loses again. But closer this time.)
Takahashi Kenji: (nervous) "You're learning fast."
Kenta: "I'm calculating patterns."
Sui: (watching) "He's so focused..."
Yui: (also watching) "It's attractive..."
Takahashi Kenji: "One more game?"
Kenta: "Yes."
(Thirty minutes later. Third game.)
Kenta: (moving a piece) "Check."
Takahashi Kenji: (eyes widening) "What—"
Kenta: "And mate."
Takahashi Kenji: (staring at the board) "I... lost?"
Sui: (jumping) "KENTA-KUN WON!"
Yui: (also jumping) "AGAINST TAKAHASHI!"
Takahashi Kenji: (head in hands) "I've been playing since I was eight..."
Kenta: "The patterns become clear after enough analysis."
Takahashi Kenji: "You've played THREE GAMES!"
Kenta: "Three games. One hour. Enough to understand basic strategies."
Sui: (hugging him) "OUR GENIUS!"
Yui: (also hugging) "CHESS MASTER NOW!"

[Scene: More Knocks on the Door]
(Knock knock knock.)
Sui: "Now who?"
(She opens. Professor Hayashi stands there. And two other teachers. All holding umbrellas.)
Professor Hayashi: (grinning) "Heard there was a game night!"
Kenta: (surprised) "Sensei?"
Teacher 1: "Rainy day. No classes. We got bored."
Teacher 2: "Takahashi texted us."
Takahashi Kenji: (sheepish) "I may have invited them."
Professor Hayashi: (seeing the chess board) "Chess! My favorite!"
Sui: (excited) "Kenta-kun just learned! He beat Takahashi!"
Professor Hayashi: (eyes gleaming) "Oh really? Care to play a game, Morik?"
Kenta: (calmly) "Yes."
Sui: (whispering) "Kenta-kun, that's PROFESSOR HAYASHI! He's probably amazing!"
Kenta: "Then I'll learn more."

[Scene: Kenta vs Professor Hayashi - Game 1]
(They set up the board. Everyone gathers around.)
Professor Hayashi: "I've been playing for forty years, Morik. Don't expect to win."
Kenta: "I expect to learn."
(They play. Slow. Deliberate. Kenta studies every move.)
Sui: (whispering) "Who's winning?"
Yui: (whispering back) "I have no idea."
Takahashi Kenji: (watching intently) "Kenta's holding his own..."
Professor Hayashi: (surprised) "You've really only been playing for an hour?"
Kenta: "Yes."
Professor Hayashi: "Your positional awareness is remarkable."
Kenta: "I'm calculating probabilities."
(Thirty minutes. Forty. Fifty.)
Professor Hayashi: (moving) "Check."
Kenta: (studying) "I see. If I move here, you take my queen. If I move here, you have mate in three."
Professor Hayashi: (smiling) "So?"
Kenta: (moving) "Then I resign. You win."
Professor Hayashi: (leaning back) "Good game, Morik. Very good game."
Sui: (disappointed) "He lost?"
Takahashi Kenji: "He lasted an hour against a forty-year veteran! That's AMAZING!"
Professor Hayashi: "Want to play again?"
Kenta: "Yes."

[Scene: Kenta vs Professor Hayashi - Game 2]
(They reset. Play again.)
Professor Hayashi: (surprised) "You're already adjusting to my style."
Kenta: "You favor knight maneuvers over bishop control. You sacrifice pawns for positional advantage."
Professor Hayashi: (eyes widening) "You analyzed my playstyle in ONE GAME?!"
Kenta: "Patterns are patterns."
(They play. Faster this time. Kenta is more aggressive.)
Teacher 1: (whispering) "He's actually challenging him."
Teacher 2: (also whispering) "This kid is unreal."
(Fifty minutes in.)
Kenta: (moving) "Check."
Professor Hayashi: (studying) "I can block with my rook."
Kenta: "Then I take your queen."
Professor Hayashi: (checking) "If I move here..."
Kenta: "Mate in two."
Professor Hayashi: (long pause) "...I resign."
(Gasps around the room.)
Sui: (screaming) "KENTA-KUN WON!"
Yui: (also screaming) "AGAINST THE PROFESSOR!"
Takahashi Kenji: (bawling) "I WITNESSED HISTORY!"
Professor Hayashi: (laughing, shaking his head) "Incredible. Absolutely incredible."
Kenta: "You let me win."
Professor Hayashi: "I did NOT. You earned that victory fair and square."
Kenta: (small smile) "Thank you, sensei."

[Scene: Tournament Begins]
Teacher 1: "Okay, now I want to play!"
Teacher 2: "Me too!"
Takahashi Kenji: "We need a tournament!"
Sui: (jumping) "YES! TOURNAMENT!"
Yui: (also jumping) "WINNER GETS... BRAGGING RIGHTS!"
(They set up brackets. Kenta vs Teacher 1 first.)

[Kenta vs Teacher 1]
Teacher 1: (confident) "I'm no Hayashi, but I'm decent."
(Kenta wins in 20 minutes.)
Teacher 1: (stunned) "I didn't even see that coming."

[Kenta vs Teacher 2]
Teacher 2: (nervous) "I watched your games. I'm scared."
(Kenta wins in 18 minutes.)
Teacher 2: (head in hands) "I need to study more."

[Kenta vs Takahashi - Rematch]
Takahashi Kenji: (determined) "I won't lose this time!"
(Kenta wins in 12 minutes.)
Takahashi Kenji: (dramatic) "I'm never playing chess again!"
Sui: (patting his back) "There there."
Yui: (also patting) "You tried."

[Final Match: Kenta vs Professor Hayashi - Championship]
(Everyone gathers. Snacks out. Drinks ready. This is the main event.)
Professor Hayashi: "Best two out of three?"
Kenta: "Agreed."
Sui: (hugging Kenta from behind) "You can do it!"
Yui: (hugging from side) "Our champion!"
Kenta: (ears red) "You're distracting me."
Sui: (kissing his cheek) "Good luck charm!"
Yui: (kissing his other cheek) "Double luck!"
Professor Hayashi: (laughing) "With those cheerleaders, how can you lose?"

(Intense. Back and forth. Both playing at their peak.)
Professor Hayashi: (sweating) "You're better than me now."
Kenta: "Not yet. But I'm learning."
(55 minutes. Kenta wins.)
Sui & Yui: (exploding) "YES! YES! YES!"
Takahashi Kenji: (commentating) "KENTA TAKES GAME ONE!"

[Game 2]
Professor Hayashi: (determined) "I'm not going down easy."
(They play. Professor Hayashi adjusts. Plays more aggressively.)
Kenta: (thinking) "He's changing strategy. Adapting."
(62 minutes. Professor Hayashi wins.)
Teacher 1: "He fought back!"
Teacher 2: "This is incredible!"
Sui: (nervous) "One more game..."
Yui: (also nervous) "Everything on the line..."

[Game 3 - Final]
(Dead silence. Everyone watches. Rain patters against the window.)
Professor Hayashi: (moving) "Let's see what you've got, Morik."
Kenta: (studying) "You're opening with the King's Gambit."
Professor Hayashi: (surprised) "You know the name?"
Kenta: "I studied while you were thinking."
Professor Hayashi: (laughing) "Of course you did."
(They play. Forty minutes. Fifty. An hour.)
Kenta: (moving) "Check."
Professor Hayashi: (blocking) "Rook defends."
Kenta: (moving) "Check again."
Professor Hayashi: (moving king) "Escape."
Kenta: (moving) "Check."
Professor Hayashi: (eyes widening) "That's—"
Kenta: "Mate in three. Your king has no escape."
(Long silence. Professor Hayashi studies the board. Every possibility. Every move.)
Professor Hayashi: (leaning back) "...I concede."
(The room EXPLODES.)
Sui: (tackling Kenta) "YOU WON! YOU WON THE TOURNAMENT!"
Yui: (also tackling) "AGAINST EVERYONE!"
Takahashi Kenji: (crying) "I WAS HERE! I WITNESSED IT!"
Teacher 1: "This kid is a legend."
Teacher 2: "A chess prodigy too?!"
Professor Hayashi: (standing, extending his hand) "Kenta Morik. You never cease to amaze me."
Kenta: (shaking) "Thank you, sensei. For the games."
Professor Hayashi: "No. Thank YOU. That was the most fun I've had in years."

[Scene: Aftermath - Snacks and Laughter]
(Everyone eats. Laughs. Talks. The rain continues outside.)
Sui: (feeding Kenta a snack) "Open wide!"
Kenta: (eating) "You don't have to—"
Sui: "I WANT TO!"
Yui: (also feeding him) "Champion treatment!"
Takahashi Kenji: (watching) "You're living the dream, Kenta."
Professor Hayashi: (sipping tea) "He earned it."
Teacher 1: "So, Morik, any other hidden talents?"
Kenta: (thinking) "I solve problems."
Teacher 2: (laughing) "We noticed!"

[Scene: Goodbyes]
(The rain stops. Evening. Everyone leaves.)
Professor Hayashi: (at the door) "Kenta. That was special. Thank you."
Kenta: "Come again anytime, sensei."
Professor Hayashi: (grinning) "I will. And next time, I'll win."
Kenta: "We'll see."
(Teachers leave. Takahashi leaves last.)
Takahashi Kenji: (hugging Kenta) "I'm so proud to be your friend!"
Kenta: (stiff) "You're hugging me."
Takahashi Kenji: "DEAL WITH IT!"
(He leaves. Door closes.)

[Scene: Evening - Three Together]
(Sui and Yui collapse on the bed. Kenta sits at his desk, looking at the chess board.)
Sui: "Kenta-kun... that was AMAZING!"
Yui: "You beat PROFESSOR HAYASHI!"
Kenta: "He'll win next time. He learns fast too."
Sui: (pouting) "Can't you just enjoy your victory?!"
Kenta: (almost smiling) "I am enjoying it."
Yui: "Come here!"
(They pull him onto the bed. Three together.)
Sui: "Best rainy day ever."
Yui: "Best day ever."
Kenta: (looking at them) "Yeah."
Sui: (kissing his cheek) "For winning."
Yui: (kissing his other cheek) "For being you."
Kenta: (touching his cheeks) "Two more."
Sui: (grinning) "Count them all!"
Yui: (also grinning) "You'll need a new notebook!"
Kenta: (almost laughing) "I'll start a new page just for today."

[Scene: Kenta's Room - Night]
(Four items on the desk. Astrolabe. Trophy. Professor's medal. Olympiad gold.)
(Three photos. Sui. Yui. All three together.)
(And now, a chess piece. The black king. From today's final game.)
Kenta: (holding it) "A reminder. That even I can learn something new."
(His phone buzzes. Two messages.)
Sui: "Kenta-kun! Today was perfect! Rainy days are now officially OUR days! Sleep well, chess champion! "
Yui: "My prince~ watching you destroy everyone at chess was the hottest thing ever! Professor Hayashi's face when you won! PRICELESS! Goodnight!"
Kenta: (smiling) (typing back to both): "Goodnight. Thank you for today. For teaching me games. For being there. For everything. I love you both."
(Immediate replies:)
Sui: "HE SAID HE LOVES US! "
Yui: "EVERY NIGHT! HE SAYS IT EVERY NIGHT! PROGRESS! "
Sui: "SWEET DREAMS OUR CHESS KING!"
Yui: "DREAM OF US! (AND YOUR NEXT VICTORY!) "
Kenta: (putting down the phone) (looking at the chess piece in his hand)
Kenta: (thinking) "Father... today was fun. Really fun. I have friends. I have love. I have a family."
(He places the chess piece with the other treasures.)
Kenta: (thinking) "And tomorrow... more games. More laughter. More them."
(He joins them in bed. Three together. Warm. Safe. Loved.)
Kenta: (closing his eyes) "Goodnight."
(Sui and Yui snuggle closer. Asleep already. Smiling.)
Kenta: (thinking, last thought) "This is happiness. This is home."
