Marcus sat down while he heard something interesting.
He turned to look at the source of the sound and then noticed that it was a spider.
As it is to be expected, it was not just an ordinary spider. It was a Frostbite Spider.
The spider was not big, at least not big like the spider in the "Beak Falls Barrow."
It was still dangerous looking anyway.
"Go kill that." Marcus said to Familiar Wolf, and Wolf moved like lightning, running towards the creature.
"Spat!" a poisonous spit was shot by the Frostbite Spider; it was for Marcus.
"Shit!" Marcus said and dodged to the left. He trusted Oakfleash, but he did not want to get hit by the poison of the Frostbite Spider at all.
Wolf and Spider then got in a battle; it was primal and violent. Nothing like in the game,
Seven to ten seconds later, Marcus felt that the power of Spirit Wolf, his familiar, was feeling weaker and weaker.
Not much time later, there was no more Spirit Wolf.
Frostbite Spider was able to fight off and kill the Spirit Wolf after some fight. The spider did not escape unscathed from the battle, but it was still more powerful and versatile.
"Not like I expected any different."
Marcus thought and then pointed at the ground for a moment, and then he conjured another familiar and ordered him to attack too.
While he watched the battle again, he focused on thinking about conjuring another one. As he thought it and used his Magicka, he took a deep breath and felt like he was almost being drained to the end.
"Now I get it."
"This sensation made me feel that it is not impossible to summon more than one."
"It was just that, when a summon is active in this plane, conjuring another one without ritualistic actions of necromancy and other conjuration schools of magic costs much more."
"Now."
"I can conjure another one, but it would take sixty to seventy magicka points."
"Which means just conjuring two familiars at the same time is enough to spend 100 Magicka Points."
"It is still great..."
Marcus knew this cost mostly because his capability as a mage is not nearly high enough to cast spells efficiently.
If an adept-level mage were to do the same, they may only need five or ten magicka points to summon more familiars, while he needs thirty for the same and a total of a hundred for two of them at the same time.
As he waited, he saw that the second wolf was dying too, but Frostbite Spider was also not in a point to battle anymore.
It was cut and had bite marks all over it; blue blood gushed out of all of its parts. It was gravely injured.
"It is the best time to try," he thought, and then focused his Magicka and then pointed at the ground and cast the spell.
Another familiar spirit wolf manifested, and Marcus directly ordered it to help.
The weakened spirit wolf backed down for a moment and then attacked after the support arrived.
Small Frostbite Spider was already injured heavily, with two Spirit Wolves attacking him; he lasted only five seconds before losing his life and dying.
Marcus got up and then looked back and left for a moment to understand that it was really death and then used his iron dagger to cut the poison sack of the frostbite spider.
This was an inherent knowledge that he had due to reasons of his alchemy understanding.
Frostbite spiders carried venoms in their sacks, and this poison can be used to coat the daggers in the game and in this reality.
Marcus believed he could use this poison to do something. At the very least, if he could create two or three bottles of Frostbite Spider Poison, he believed it would be worth something.
An alchemist is not only capable of creating potions but also potent poisons and rangers and assassins; people who are not warriors prefer to use poisons.
It was the easiest force multiplier against almost any foe.
"Okay..." Marcus thought.
He looked at the two spirit wolves and then nodded.
"If I were to try to conjure the third spirit wolf, I believe it would cost at least 150 Magicka Points."
"So, if I am at my full, I can conjure up to three familiar spirit wolves..."
"That would almost deplete all my Magicka..."
"Luckily for me that I am a mage; with potions, I can regenerate my Magicka, increasing my total limit for a long time..."
"Not to mention there are also potions for increasing schools of magic, such as Fortify Conjuration..."
"If I did everything right, I believe I can conjure up to five or six of them and have full magicka in no time."
The possibilities for him were endless. He also knew that there was some sort of understanding that came to him as an alchemy.
Drinking more potions than he needs and too much may cause him to have some side effects.
In the end, the potions are good or not still chemical products, and the body has the capacity to handle them if he were to do what he would do in the game.
His body would not like that.
