"What am I looking at?" Nathan asked as he watched a video of people coming and going.
"That's Peter entering the station and that's him leaving hours later," the cop explained.
"Play it for me again," Nathan said and the cop did as he was told.
After playing the video a couple of times he started getting fed up. Soon two other cops walked over to them.
"Nathan, you are under arrest for impersonating an officer," the cops said as they cuffed his hands behind him.
"Impersonation of an officer? I'm not impersonating anyone. Check with the Marleys," Nathan called out to Mark and the Marleys as he was being dragged away.
"We called Section Eight and they did not know a Nathan Payne with your ID," the cops said as they locked him in a holding cell.
"You guys will be in so much trouble when I call my lawyers," Nathan threatened.
"Sit tight, section eight said they were sending someone to pick you up," the cop waved as they walked away.
Meanwhile, Mark roamed the police station looking for Nathan.
Nathan leaned against the wall as he waited for someone to get him out. The wall behind him shifted and Nathan stumbled awake. A breeze blew across the back of his neck.
'How am I dozing off already?' Nathan thought and repositioned himself.
It happened again this time the wall ripped and swallowed him. He fell and rolled down a heap of mud. Nathan got up and swiped the mud off his face.
'Where am I?' Nathan thought then saw people sitting on the floor hugging their knees.
"Where are we? What is this place?" Nathan asked but no one minded him. Suddenly he heard a thudding sound.
"Get down he is coming," one of the people sitting on the floor said.
The place smelled like a refuse dump. The place was mostly dark, except for the emergency red light that ran across the wall.
"Are we in some kind of mine?" Nathan whispered and a man shused him.
He lifted his head to see what was causing the thudding sound. He saw a huge figure tower over them. The thud was from every step the creature took.
From behind the huge man, a much smaller man emerged.
"You think your money can spare you from the law? I know people like you, people who treat the law as a suggestion,"
'What are they? Some kind of swamp monster and his master?" Nathan wondered
"You cannot escape my justice," the man said before turning and walking away.
As they left Nathan got back up. He was slowly following them when he saw Peter, the missing boy he was looking for.
"Peter, I spoke to your mother she is looking for you," Nathan said to him.
"Who are you?" Peter asked as tears filled his eyes.
'Wait, if I saw him leave. How come he is here?' Nathan thought.
"I'm Nathan, your mom asked for my help finding you," He explained.
"How did you get here?" Nathan asked.
"I got here like everyone else. A second I was in a cell the next second I was here," Peter explained.
"What's that man's deal? Why did he kidnap all these people?" Nathan asked.
"He said we tried to evade justice," Peter explained.
Nathan ran to where he initially fell from to see if there was a way out. Unfortunately, it was a dead end.
