"Did he say Corvus?" Nathan asked.
"Isn't that who the demon cop asked for?" Felix said and Clayton pulled them aside.
"Keep your voices down," Clayton whispered.
"I think we still have time. We should let him go," Felix suggested.
"You can't be serious. He was locked up for a reason," Nathan disagreed.
"I think Nathan is right. We should find out more about him before making a decision," Clayton said.
"We don't have that kind of time. The demon's time elapses in a few hours," Felix said.
Mark watched the three huddle up as they discussed their options.
"Okay, we have two against," Nathan said and they all turned toward Mark.
"I agree with Felix. We should let him go then deal with the fallout later," Mark said.
"A tie," Nathan said and Felix looked at the last person in the room.
"We all know what he would say," Felix said staring at Corvus.
"We have what, about eight hours before the deadline. Let's use half the time to know what you want to let out," Nathan suggested.
"Okay, but the door is open. What is stopping him from just walking out?" Mark asked.
"Those, devil's trap," Felix said and pointed at pentagon segils across the room.
They all agreed and went back upstairs to find anything on Corvus Crow.
They searched for hours but found nothing.
"Obviously, Corvus Crow is not his real name," Mark said.
"We can't find when he was born. When he died, or even his parents, nothing," Nathan sighed.
"Of course, a demon's name is his weakness. I get it now," Clayton said.
Mark, Felix, and Nathan looked at each other.
"We will never find anything about him. I have heard demons erase every trace of themselves when they make enough enemies," Clayton explained.
"So what do we do now?" Nathan asked.
"We let him go, time is running out," Felix said.
"Wait, I think Providence can find something on him," Clayton said.
They all went back downstairs and Nathan typed in Corvus name into the system. Corvus laughed and they all looked at him.
"What is funny?" Mark asked.
"You know you can ask me directly," Corvus said with a grin.
"We are supposed to believe you will answer truthfully?" Nathan said.
"I have been answering truthfully for years. Why would I stop now?" Corvus said and a live video of Corvus appeared on the screen.
Nathan looked at the screen and looked at Corvus in the room. He waved at him.
"It's impossible," Nathan said and the other walked towards him.
"What did you find?" Felix asked.
"He is controlling the providence system," Nathan said.
"It can't be," Clayton said and pushed Nathan aside.
"Liam put in security measures to prevent any entity from taking control of it," Clayton added.
"True, it is impossible. There are systems, spell and enchantments to prevent that. I am not controlling it, I am the Eye of Providence," Corvus said and chuckled.
