Sitting in the bar section, Nayza was trying to take pictures of herself.
Selfies, random photos, little moments.
She wanted to keep memories of tonight with her.
Her eyes slowly moved toward the drinks placed in front of her.
"Yaar... should I take one or two shots?"
Then she immediately shook her head.
"No, no. I promised Leera I wouldn't drink."
She quietly continued talking to herself while scrolling through the pictures on her phone.
"I seriously don't know how I'll handle things after tomorrow."
Then she sighed softly.
"One company said they'd call me back, but they still haven't. If they don't want to hire me, they should just say no clearly. What's the point of making someone wait like this..."
She was so lost in her own thoughts that she did not even realize she was speaking loudly enough for someone nearby to hear.
Just behind her, a boy sitting at the seat behind hers had been quietly listening to everything.
Hearing her random little complaints made him laugh softly to himself, but he still stayed silent and kept listening.
A few moments later, Leera and Yesir finally walked toward her.
"Nayzaaa," Leera said dramatically. "Since when have you been sitting here alone?"
Nayza smiled lightly.
"Nothing. Just like that."
At the same moment, Yesir suddenly looked behind her and said,
"Oh wow, Doruk is here too."
Hearing his name, Nayza turned around and saw Doruk sitting right behind her.
Doruk looked at her quietly for a moment.
"Hello... how are you?" Nayza asked awkwardly.
"I'm fine. How are you?" Doruk replied with a small smile.
"I'm fine too," Nayza said with a genuine smile.
After that, Doruk got up from his seat and joined them at the table.
The three of them already knew everything about Nayza's situation, so there was a strange softness in the atmosphere around them.
Yesir suddenly said,
"Nayza, seriously... you should start treating us like your friends sometimes too."
Nayza looked confused.
"What do you mean?"
Yesir crossed his arms.
"You need a job, right? Why didn't you tell me?"
Nayza looked slightly embarrassed.
I didn't really think about telling anyone..."
Yesir immediately replied,
"You can join my company if you want. I'll talk to my father."
Nayza quickly shook her head.
"No, no... that won't feel right to me."
Then she smiled softly.
"I want to do something with my own hard work."
Her eyes slowly softened while looking at them.
"The fact that all of you care about me this much already means a lot."
Leera suddenly clapped her hands excitedly.
"Alright, come on. Let's take a group photo first."
Everyone agreed, and the four of them stood together while taking pictures.
After that, they all sat down again and continued talking normally.
But while sitting there, Nayza quietly started thinking to herself.
"Doruk is here... then did he not talk to Huru yet? She's probably looking for him."
After thinking for a moment, Nayza quickly texted Huru.
We're all at the bar section. Doruk is here too.
A little while later, Huru replied.
Come outside the party. I need to talk to you.
Nayza looked at the others sitting there and said,
"Listen guys, I'll be back in a little while."
Leera nodded.
"Okay."
Nayza walked outside to meet Huru.
The moment Huru saw her, she immediately held her arm dramatically.
"Nayzaaa, my sister."
Nayza looked confused.
"What happened?"
Huru sighed nervously.
"I saw Doruk earlier... but when I went near him, I couldn't say anything."
Nayza smiled softly.
"Come on, Huru. Be brave. You love him, right? Before someone else takes him, you should tell him first."
Huru looked at her gratefully.
"Thank you for giving me confidence."
At that exact moment, Doruk walked outside too.
He looked at Nayza and said,
"I need to talk to you about something."
The moment Nayza heard that, she immediately thought this was the perfect chance for Huru and Doruk to talk alone.
So she quickly replied,
"Umm... I'll come back in a little while. Actually, I'm really hungry."
Then she walked away from there.
Now only Doruk and Huru were left alone.
Huru looked at him nervously.
"Hey... Doruk."
Doruk looked at her calmly.
"Yeah? What happened?"
Huru slowly walked closer and stood right in front of him.
Meanwhile, Nayza had quietly stopped nearby and was secretly watching them from a distance.
Huru kept looking at Doruk while blushing slightly.
Doruk looked confused.
"Huru? What is it?"
Huru took a deep breath.
"I... I was trying to say that..."
Her voice shook slightly.
"I love you, Doruk."
She lowered her eyes shyly before continuing.
"I don't know when I started loving you, but ever since then, I kept thinking that I'd confess to you after graduation."
Doruk became silent for a moment.
He looked like he was thinking deeply.
Then he finally opened his mouth.
"Huru, I..."
But before he could finish speaking, Huru suddenly kissed him.
From a distance, Nayza saw everything.
Seeing them together made her happy.
But at the same time, something strange twisted painfully inside her chest.
She could not even understand what she was feeling.
So instead, she quietly turned around and walked away from there.
Meanwhile, Doruk slowly pulled away from the kiss.
"Huru... listen to me."
His expression softened sadly.
"I'm sorry. But I don't feel the same way about you."
Huru's eyes immediately became watery, but she still forced herself to smile.
"Yeah... I kind of expected that."
Then she laughed softly while trying not to cry.
"But if we start knowing each other better, maybe we'll become closer."
Doruk slowly shook his head.
"I'm sorry, Huru. I really don't have any plans for this right now."
Tears finally appeared in Huru's eyes.
But she still smiled.
"It's okay."
Then she looked at him softly and said,
"I'll wait for you. When you're ready someday, tell me."
After saying that, Huru walked away while trying to hide her tears.
Doruk stayed standing there alone.
He felt genuinely bad for hurting her.
After a while, Nayza finally came back and noticed that only Doruk was standing there.
Huru was nowhere to be seen.
Nayza walked toward him slowly.
"So... what did you want to talk about?"
Doruk looked at her quietly before speaking.
"I wanted to say sorry... for everything."
His eyes softened.
"Please forgive me."
Then after a small pause, he continued,
"But Nayza... my heart still only wants you."
Nayza's expression slowly changed hearing that.
"And I want us to stay together like before... even if it's just as friends.
Maybe someday... you might love me too."
Hearing his words made Nayza emotional again.
A small sad smile appeared on her face.
"I missed you a lot too."
Then she looked at him properly for the first time that night.
"And you were right. Let's stay friends again."
The moment Doruk heard that, relief instantly appeared on his face.
Without thinking much, he suddenly pulled Nayza into a hug.
Nayza hugged him back too.
But while hugging him, a thought quietly appeared inside her mind.
Doruk said all this to me... does that mean he rejected Huru?
After a few seconds, Nayza slowly pulled away from the hug.
"Okay then," she said softly. "You should go now. I think Yesir was calling you. I'll come in a little while."
Doruk nodded and walked back inside.
After that, Nayza started looking for Huru around the party.
And after searching for a while, she finally found her near the drinks section.
Huru was drinking quietly alone.
Nayza immediately walked toward her.
"Huru..."
She gently placed her hand on Huru's shoulder.
The moment Huru looked at her, her eyes immediately filled with tears again.
Without saying anything, both of them hugged each other.
Nayza softly rubbed her back and whispered,
"Don't be upset."
Then she smiled gently.
"The person you truly love... you'll definitely get them someday."
