CHAPTER 34: INTO THE ABYSS OF DATA

Aryan's body shimmered in the air. The Architect's dark digital hand was dragging Iris into the depths of the "Source," the place where data is erased forever.

"Aryan… run!" Iris's voice sounded like a broken frequency.

"Never!" Aryan roared.

Without a second thought, he threw his metal rod aside and grabbed Iris's hand. As he touched her, a violent jolt surged through his entire being. Aryan's physical form remained in the chamber, but his consciousness plunged into the digital abyss along with Iris.

Aryan opened his eyes. There was nothing around them—only falling binary codes and the debris of broken memories. There was no gravity here, only a profound silence. In the distance, he saw Iris being swallowed by a black vortex.

"Subject-01," the Architect's voice echoed throughout the void. "You haven't come here to save her… you have come to witness your end. Even your Shunya Energy cannot save you here, for this place itself is 'Shunya' (Zero)."

Aryan felt his feet slowly dissolving into data, as if his very presence was being erased. He was being deleted. At that moment, he heard his mother Meera's voice again—

"Aryan, remember! You and Iris are not just two projects. You are two sides of the same coin. 'Dual Protocol' isn't just a code; it is your shared history!"

Aryan closed his eyes. He recalled the childhood photograph he had seen in the Ancient Core—him and Iris, his childhood friend, playing together. He focused all his power not on anger or fear, but on their connection. Suddenly, a golden chain of energy formed between the S-01 tattoo on his hand and the S-02 tattoo on Iris's hand.

Aryan pulled Iris toward him with all his might. As they collided, an explosion of golden and black energy rippled through the entire void. The black vortex stopped abruptly. The Architect's dark hand crumbled into ash.

In that space of the void where there had only been destruction, a new light was being born.

"Where… where are we?" Iris opened her eyes slowly. She was no longer transparent. Her data felt more solid and real than ever before.

"We are where the Architect can never find us," Aryan said softly.

The next moment, both suddenly fell back into the Ancient Core Chamber. They lay on the ground, breathing heavily. But this time, everything was quiet. The Architect's mind control over the city had vanished.

Kael and Captain Zero came running inside. "You did it!" Kael said, supporting Aryan. "Everyone above has awakened. The Architect's army is retreating."

Aryan stood up slowly and looked at Iris. She gave him a faint smile. But Aryan knew—this was just one victory, not the war.

Captain Zero spoke in a grave voice, "The Architect will come now with his full might. He knows that 'The Awakener' is now complete."

Aryan picked up his metal rod. Golden and black energy now sparkled steadily in his eyes. "Let him come," he said in a calm but resolute voice. "Now we are ready."
