"The cabin I am in right now is in the center. The well is next to the cabin on the right. The campfire sits right behind the cabin. Then the wolf house is in this corner, and the crops are in front of the cabin. Here are the walls and the moat. Hmm, yes, this seems about right," Christian said to himself as he drew a map of the campsite.
He was creating a bird's-eye view of the campsite on the paper. This map would allow him to figure out what more he could build and how much space he would have left. I could always just cut down more trees and expand the space beyond the moat as well. He placed down his pen when he finished drawing and walked outside to show Rhea.
"Look at this." He handed the paper to Rhea. "What do you think, and what should we do now?"
Rhea took the paper from Christian and looked it over. The drawing was fairly good, and there was still a lot of space left within the wooden fence to build more things.
"This is a good drawing. I think our next step is to build, in the other corner across from the wolf house on the other side of the clearing, a bath house. You can use your interesting powerful tools, and I can use materials I have in my magic pouch to make it happen. We can make it very small, and we can ask Darya to help with the water," she replied as she handed the drawing back to Christian.
He nodded, and they got straight to work.
They first started constructing the foundation the bath house was going to be built upon. Then they started building the actual wooden bath house from more trees they chopped down. Rhea was a huge help in the building process, as she was able to use magic that Christian did not even know existed. Apparently vampires in this world can use telekinesis, or at minimum this one specifically can do so, he thought to himself as he watched her levitate a wooden log.
They kept at it for a few hours, and then they took a break in the afternoon.
To celebrate their hard work so far, Christian took vegetables from each of the crops and cooked them extra well. Some of the wolves went hunting and came back with some dead boar and deer. Christian made use of this meat and turned it into a stew of sorts. Before long, everybody was enjoying some nice warm stew.
"Mhmm!" Rhea continued to eat the stew. "This is better than I thought!"
Christian chuckled. "I am glad you like it!"
After they finished eating, they got back to work on the bath house. A few more hours passed, and it was turning evening. The bath house was finally complete. It was small but effective. The water was warm and cozy, and steam billowed up into the air. Christian let Rhea use it first, as he considered her his guest. Plus, he could always use the bath house later.
He watered the crops while Rhea was busy in the bath house. Christian was watering his third crop when he heard Flaro and Darya barking loudly to alert him. He quickly ran to the source of the noise. There, standing in front of the entrance of the campsite, were two figures encased in a divine yellow aura similar to the aura of the God he met before he reincarnated.
The wolves were not attacking the pair of figures, but they were quietly growling.
They were, after all, territorial of the campsite and of Christian himself. The figures did not seem intimidating, and his feeling in his gut was that they were here to help rather than hurt.
"Thanks for alerting me, Flaro and Darya, but it is okay now." He petted both of them, and they both sat down next to him as the two figures approached. It was dark out, so their bright yellow light created a big contrast in the landscape. As they got closer, their light faded down to a manageable glow.
The two figures appeared to be angels. They both had wings and the aura of being divine. There was a male and a female. Both angels had blonde hair, but the male had red eyes while the female had blue eyes. The male had black wings, while the female had white wings.
The female angel stepped forward, speaking in a charming, soft voice. "Do not be afraid, we are not here to hurt you. We were sent by the God of Creation himself to aid you. Yes, the highest God of this universe is not allowed to directly interfere with your life, but he is allowed to send others to help you through your journey. He told us to protect you and aid you."
She paused to study Christian more carefully.
"We see you have the legendary blessings of Limitless Vitality and Divine Defense. That confirms you are the one and only one chosen for this. Interesting." She whispered to herself, though Christian almost did not catch it.
The male angel stepped forward with a slight smile. He spoke with a sort of cold authority. "My name is Castiel, and this here is Seraphina. We are both angels sent by the Creator God to protect and aid you. I am a warrior angel, and Seraphina is a healing angel. We both can fight and heal with our magic, but we specialize in different things. We are siblings. Nice to meet you, Christian."
The difference between the two angels could not be more clear.
"Christian, are you okay?!" Rhea shouted as she made her way to the group by the entrance. "I heard the wolves barking, so I climbed out of the bath house and changed as fast as I could."
Before Christian could reply, Rhea turned toward the angels, and her eyes widened.
"The Archangels of Death and Life themselves are here?!" Rhea shouted in surprise. Christian thought she was about to faint. The Archangels themselves thought she was going to faint as well. The male angel stepped back, and the female angel, Seraphina, stepped closer to Rhea.
"Yes, it is us. We go by Seraphina and Castiel, but we cannot help it if the general population creates those names for us. We were sent by the Creator God to watch over and aid Christian. We know this territory lies within the Demon Lord's territory, so it is better to be safe than sorry. Also, what is the second vampire princess of Norvoss Kingdom doing in the middle of Hellfire Forest?" Seraphina asked curiously.
Christian felt like his heart just dropped.
Rhea was actual royalty. She was the second princess of Norvoss Kingdom.
Two famous Archangels and a Princess. What does this mean now? he thought to himself as he looked back and forth between them. He looked toward Rhea for an honest explanation. The Archangels waited for a reply from her.
This is the very beginning of the adventure that lies before Christian.
