"Why did you not tell me?"
Christian asked Rhea with confusion in his voice. He thought that was some important information to say if she was going to be staying here long term. After all, it would be hard for him to have a peaceful life with a princess living here. Plus, he was afraid he would not be able to protect her if danger came upon her.
Rhea took a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
She looked at Christian and the two Archangels with a hint of guilt on her face.
"I am sorry I never told you, Christian. Yes, it is true. I am the second princess of the Norvoss Kingdom. The Norvoss Kingdom lies next to the Demon Lord's Empire. I crossed the country's borders while I was exploring and doing my research around here. While I come from a famous royal family, nobody hardly pays attention to me since I am the second princess. So I thought it was okay to lay low about my position."
"I understand, though, how that is not fair to you and put you into danger. I am sorry, Christian. I can leave if you would like me to," she said while slightly bowing her head.
Christian took a moment before replying to her. He knew she was wrong to have lied to him, but at the same time he felt a gut instinct that she was a good person. He enjoyed her company, and the wolves love her. Even if he had the Archangels with him now, he still wanted Rhea around him. He spoke with an understanding voice.
"It is okay, Rhea. Please just be more honest with things to me. You can trust me. I would like you to stay here with me since I enjoy your company, and you can do a lot of research here still."
When she heard those words, she looked up in relief and with gratitude in her eyes. Christian turned toward the Archangels. "Castiel. Seraphina. How did you both know the true identity of Rhea here? Do the Archangels know a lot about the people of this world?"
"Yes, we do," Seraphina replied back. "We do not know every little thing, but we do know about the most important people of this world, and she is one of them. You, Christian, are a very important person as well. We do not know everything, and the things we do know, we cannot say all of it to you. Castiel and I can help you, though, with whatever you are creating here or want to achieve. We promise to protect you to the best of our ability."
"I see," he said. "I am thankful for your guys' protection and insight. I hope to achieve a peaceful life as best as possible. I did not really plan on being around too many people when I first started here, but I trust in the Creator God's guidance, and plus I want to protect Rhea as much as possible as well. We did not predict anybody else to be moving in here, so the lodgings may not be luxurious, but we still have time to build since it is not late evening yet for us."
Seraphina laughed softly.
"Do not worry about that. We came prepared. All we have to do is help make a guest log cabin," Seraphina said as the pair of Archangels made their way to an open area in one of the corners of the campsite. Christian, Rhea, and the wolves followed them.
They got to work on building a second log cabin. It did not take long for a small wooden guest house to be made, complete with two small rooms with beds and a small bathroom. The Archangels pulled out magical pouches even more grand than Rhea's magical pouch. Seraphina handed Christian one of these magical pouches.
"Here. This one is for you. We will help you construct your log cabin in the center to be a bit bigger and to have your own bed like Rhea does. We also have sheets and blankets in them as well," Seraphina said as they made their way to Christian and Rhea's cabin.
It was late at night by the time the construction was finished. It was well worth it.
Christian finally was able to sleep in a normal bed with a mattress, sheets, and blankets. It felt way more comfortable and more at home. Everybody said good night to each other. The wolves went back to their wolf house. The Archangels went to their guest house in the other corner. Rhea and Christian went to sleep.
Another day was done.
Christian woke up to the smell of cooked boar. He yawned and stretched his arms as he got out of his new bed. He walked outside. Rhea was busy playing with the wolves. Seraphina and Castiel were cooking the boar over the fire, chatting away. Christian stopped for a moment to take in the view. It felt nice to have more company in a strange way. He still could not believe he knows two Archangels now and a vampire. This world was still very much wild to him, even though it was now his reality.
He walked over to the campfire.
"Good morning, Christian!" Seraphina said with a smile as she handed him a plate of cooked boar and vegetables. Christian said his thanks and sat next to her and Castiel on the logs. Rhea soon joined them. They all ate breakfast with each other, talking small talk.
A thought popped into Christian's mind.
"Hey Seraphina or Castiel, can you tell me more about this divine tool?" he asked as he pulled it out of his pocket. All Christian knew about the divine tool is that it shape-shifted into whatever he needed at his convenience and that it would appear to him even if he left it somewhere. He did not know, though, how long this ability would last or everything that it could do.
Seraphina and Castiel glanced at each other. The female Archangel turned toward Christian. "We cannot tell you the full capabilities of it. To be honest, we do not know the full capabilities of it. We just know and can tell you it is a divine tool or artifact that was used by the Creator God himself, and he gave it to you. The other minor Gods may be upset with that, but who knows? We are just servants of him."
"Thanks for telling me what you could at least," Christian replied as he took a bite of food. He was thankful for even a little bit of information. Anything he learned could be of use to him.
He had no idea how useful that divine tool would be in the future.
