Rahim and Karim stood inside the dark cave. The cold air touched their faces. The sound they heard a moment ago was still echoing in their ears.
Karim held the torch tightly.
"Rahim… did you hear that sound?" he asked in a low voice.
Rahim nodded.
"Yes. Something is inside this cave."
Both boys felt a little scared, but they did not want to go back.
Rahim said, "We have come this far. Let's go and see."
Karim took a deep breath.
"Okay. But we must be careful."
They slowly started walking deeper into the cave.
The ground was uneven, and small stones were everywhere. Water was dripping from the ceiling.
Each step made an echo.
Rahim held the map in one hand and looked around carefully.
Karim used the torch to light the way.
After walking for some time, they saw strange symbols on the walls.
Rahim went closer.
"These symbols look like the ones on the key and in the book," he said.
Karim looked at them.
"Yes. This means this cave is connected to the house."
They continued walking.
Suddenly, they heard the sound again.
This time it was louder.
Karim stopped.
"Rahim… I don't like this," he said.
Rahim also stopped.
The cave became very quiet again.
Then they heard a low growling sound.
Both boys looked at each other.
"What was that?" Karim whispered.
Rahim did not answer.
They slowly moved forward.
After a few steps, they reached a large open space inside the cave.
It looked like a big underground room.
In the middle of the room, there was a stone platform.
On the platform, there was a shining object.
Karim pointed at it.
"Look! Something is there!"
Rahim nodded.
"Let's go closer."
They carefully walked toward the platform.
As they got closer, they saw that it was a crystal.
The crystal was glowing with a soft blue light.
The light filled the room.
Karim said, "This is beautiful."
Rahim looked at it with wonder.
"Yes. But why is it here?"
Suddenly, the ground shook a little.
The boys stepped back.
Then they heard a loud growl again.
This time, they saw where the sound was coming from.
From the dark side of the cave, a large shadow moved.
Karim became very scared.
"Rahim… something is coming!"
Rahim held the torch tightly.
From the darkness, a big animal came out.
It looked like a large wolf.
Its eyes were glowing in the dark.
The wolf looked at the boys and growled.
Karim stepped back.
"What do we do?" he asked.
Rahim thought quickly.
"We should not run," he said.
The wolf moved closer.
It looked angry.
Karim was shaking.
Rahim slowly picked up a small stone.
He threw it to the side.
The stone made a noise on the wall.
The wolf looked at the sound for a moment.
Rahim whispered, "Slowly move back."
Both boys slowly stepped back.
The wolf watched them carefully.
Then suddenly, the crystal on the platform started glowing brighter.
The wolf turned its head toward the crystal.
It walked slowly toward the platform.
Rahim and Karim stopped.
They watched quietly.
The wolf went near the crystal and sat down.
It looked calm now.
Karim whispered, "It is guarding the crystal."
Rahim nodded.
"Yes. I think this crystal is very important."
Karim asked, "Should we take it?"
Rahim shook his head.
"No. It may be dangerous."
They stood there for a moment.
The cave was quiet again.
Rahim said, "We should leave for now."
Karim agreed.
"Yes. We can come back later."
Slowly, they moved away from the platform.
The wolf did not follow them.
It stayed near the crystal.
The boys walked back through the cave.
Their hearts were still beating fast.
After some time, they reached the cave entrance.
The fresh air felt good.
Karim took a deep breath.
"That was scary," he said.
Rahim smiled a little.
"Yes. But we learned something important."
Karim asked, "What?"
Rahim said, "The crystal is the real secret. And the wolf is protecting it."
Karim nodded.
"So what do we do next?"
Rahim looked at the map.
"We need to understand more about this place. Then we will come back."
Karim agreed.
"Okay. But next time, we must be ready."
Rahim smiled.
"Yes. Our adventure is just getting bigger."
The boys walked away from the cave.
But they knew one thing.
The mystery was far from over. ..
