With Angela Blake's help, Lily Carter finally reached Grandmother Eleanor Blake's room inside Greenwood Manor.
The room was elegant but simple, filled with the quiet authority that Eleanor carried wherever she went.
Lily carefully opened the bag she had brought and began showing the beautifully embroidered sarees.
Angela examined them with admiration.
"These are lovely," she said warmly.
Grandmother Eleanor nodded slowly, clearly impressed.
As they discussed the designs, Angela suddenly mentioned that she planned to prepare sweets for the family the next day.
Eleanor immediately added, "Make something different for Adrian."
Lily froze for a moment.
Her ears seemed to ring when she heard his name.
But before she could react further, Eleanor continued casually.
"I'm talking about my grandson."
Lily relaxed instantly.
"Oh," she said with relief. "Your little grandson."
In her mind, she imagined a small boy running around the house.
Eleanor sighed softly.
"My grandson is always serious and stressed," she complained. "He never seems relaxed."
Lily laughed lightly.
"Well of course!" she said cheerfully. "That's what happens when someone doesn't eat sweets."
Angela smiled at her innocence.
But Eleanor quickly corrected her.
"He doesn't avoid sweets by choice. Adrian has diabetes."
Lily nodded thoughtfully.
Then she said with complete honesty,
"Some people eat sweets, and some don't… but they're still very bitter."
She tilted her head playfully.
"Like bitter gourd… with neem on top."
Angela burst into laughter.
Eleanor tried to hide her smile.
Neither of them realized that Lily had just described the most powerful man in the house.
Adrian Blake.
After finalizing the designs, Lily left Greenwood Manor with exciting news.
The Blake family had agreed to place a large order for sarees.
When she returned home and shared the news, her aunt was visibly pleased.
For once, she seemed proud of Lily.
They celebrated with a small meal together.
Even though Lily's aunt still treated Emily more affectionately — feeding her by hand while glaring at Lily when she expected the same treatment — she was clearly happy that the business had succeeded.
But the happiness did not last long.
Inside Greenwood Manor, Marina Blake was furious.
Earlier that day, Lily had mistaken her for a servant.
The humiliation burned deeply in Marina's mind.
Without hesitation, she grabbed one of the sarees Lily had brought and tore it in half.
The fabric ripped with a sharp sound.
From that moment on, Marina gave Lily a new nickname.
"The Torn Saree."
Soon after, the phone rang at Lily's house.
It was Marina.
Her voice was sharp and cold.
"The order is canceled," she said firmly before hanging up.
Lily felt as if the ground had disappeared beneath her feet.
The large order she had proudly secured was suddenly gone.
Her aunt's reaction was immediate and harsh.
"I knew this would happen!" she scolded angrily. "You never do anything right. I was foolish to trust you."
Before Lily could even explain, another phone call came.
The customers who had expected the sarees were now complaining.
They were angry that no one had arrived to deliver the order.
But the most painful words came from Lily's own aunt.
"A girl who can ruin her sister's wedding," she said bitterly, "can easily destroy everything else too."
Lily stood there silently.
Those words hurt more than anything else.
At the same time, dinner was being served at Greenwood Manor.
The Blake family gathered around their large dining table.
Grandmother Eleanor looked at Angela with affection.
"I'm glad you're here," she said warmly. "Even if it's only for a few days."
Adrian smirked slightly.
"I'm sure your husband is thinking the same thing," he teased his sister. "He must be enjoying the peace."
Angela threw him an annoyed look while the others laughed.
For a brief moment, the atmosphere felt light.
But Marina soon began talking about the saree incident.
Her tone made it clear she expected praise for protecting the family's reputation.
Grandmother Eleanor grew irritated.
"Send my dessert to my room," she said coldly.
Then she announced that the women of the household would attend a religious gathering the next day.
Marina immediately refused, claiming she had more important work to do.
The difference between their values created a silent tension in the room.
Angela quickly stepped in, trying to calm the situation before it escalated.
She had always been the peacemaker in the family.
That night, Lily struggled to fall asleep.
Her mind replayed the events of the day again and again.
Eventually, exhaustion pulled her into a strange dream.
In the dream, she stood inside Greenwood Manor once more.
But this time the mansion was filled with reporters and flashing cameras.
At the center of the room stood Adrian Blake, giving a powerful press conference.
Suddenly Lily stormed into the room.
"Stop right there, Adrian Blake!" she shouted.
Everyone turned to look at her.
Then, without hesitation, Lily threw a handful of money at him.
"Take your money back!" she declared.
The reporters gasped.
Adrian stared at her, speechless.
Lily woke up suddenly.
Her sister Emily was staring at her with amusement.
"You were talking in your sleep," Emily said.
Lily groaned.
"I had the strangest dream."
Emily smiled knowingly.
"So he's even appearing in your dreams now?"
Lily immediately denied it.
But deep inside, she knew something strange was happening.
Adrian Blake had entered her life in ways she couldn't explain.
Even her dreams were no longer free from him.
Just then the phone rang.
It was Samuel Morgan.
He asked Lily to meet him.
Lily hesitated for a moment.
Meeting a man alone didn't feel right.
So she quickly convinced Emily to come along with her.
But just as they were about to leave, their aunt stopped them.
"Emily, come with me to the market," she ordered.
Emily sighed.
Lily watched helplessly as her sister left with their aunt.
And for the first time that evening, she realized something.
Sooner or later…
she would have to face the world on her own.
