When the joint training session ended it was a perfect conclusion to their first year as they are soon to make it to their second year as second year students. But something bothered some of the students, is the fact that Doc Doc had a special ability that isn't really his ventriloquist quirk as his strings and needles can also heal others. He used it once during the provisional license exam, and in the final round of the joint training session.
They all texted each other from their phones.
Hamour asked first "so should we visit Doc about what happened?"
Reiko was next "it would be an invasion on his privacy, but what we saw cannot be overlooked.
Blaze text "we're visiting him right?"
Kuroda text "I mean that is why we're here"
Aoi texted "hold on, Kuroda you've been to his place right, helping Randomizer?"
Kuroda text again "no not really, we normally go to a at the back of his apartment and test with Randomizer making sure he is stable"
Mizuno and Flare sent blush emojis thinking about the amount of time Doc Doc had spent time with him.
Delmon text "so you know where he lives?"
Kuroda texted again "yes I do"
Goshi then finished that text "so okay so tomorrow we're heading to Doc's place. Be sure to not make him uncomfortable, we could give him some gifts"
Everyone texted a thumbs up emoji as they all prepared to meet Doc Doc at his place. They bought some gifts for him, some were thought about and some were just something he may like as they waited as all eighteen students talked to each other while waiting for Doc Doc to answer his apartment door. Then the door opened as Randomizer showed, they all waved at him as Randomizer waved back especially to Kuroda since it was his quirk that binded his parts all together.
"Doc's… friends… welcome" he waved back at them and invited them all into Doc Doc's home.
They looked around to see that it was normal as usual with the regular appliances that every apartment has. But it felt lonely as there was no one around, well except Randomizer being around to keep him company.
Delmon whispered to Kuroda "hey you've been to his place right?"
"No like I said we've been doing experiments only outside"
Then later Doc Doc came out of his room and saw everyone here in his apartment, he sighed as he knew Randomizer brought them all in. He waved to them all "make yourselves at home, it's not much but it's a living"
Blaze, Hamour and Poller sat down on a couch, Sachi, Mondo, and Hino watched some tv, Reiko looked at the books, Kuroda, Flare, and Mizuno hanged out with Randomizer though Flare and Mizuno are enjoying Kuroda's presence, Delmon, Junix, and Fennal looked at the balcony, Euro and Astral looked at the photo of Doc's parents though it seemed to be scribbled out and they do not know why. Then finally Goshi, Senda, and Aoi talked to Doc Doc,
"It seemed to be very lively, but is it really just you and Randomizer?"
"Yes Aoi, it's just me and him"
Senda looked around and saw the photo Euro and Astral were looking at "then what about those photos, those are your parents right?"
Doc Doc went silent for a moment, as Goshi spoke next "Doc, we are here to have a talk with you, if something is bothering you then speaking to us will help"
Aoi nodded "yeah, and we wanted to talk about how awesome you were when you healed Goshi's wounds during the joint training session"
Senda crosses his arms "we promise that we will all keep it a secret"
Doc sighed as he walked to the center of the living room and placed a chair. It got everyone's attention as they got into the center of the room and stared at Doc Doc as he exhaled and looked at everyone then unrolled his sleeves showing the bandage wounds. They already know about his arms being bandaged, but they never know why they were bandaged. Doc Doc then grabbed a strip of his bandage and started to unravel the bandages around his arms showing to them the scars of his arms. Wounds that looked deep and marks of stitches all around, and he also took off his mask as on the left of his cheek was a massive scar on his face all the way towards his left eye.
They were all shocked to witness Doc's wounds as he sighed again expecting all their reactions. "My name isn't Doc Doc, it's Komaji Hojiro and the wounds you see here are every rejection my town gave to me before I moved here even my parents" everyone's heart suddenly sank after only hearing such little detail yet felt heavy from Doc's words. "When my quirk awakened they didn't like how I could control others and tried to harm my arms. That's when I figured I can also heal wounds with strings and needles. I tried it use it on others, but they kept mistaking my quirk to be evil or a plague to the town, everyone rejected me, shunned me, even my family thus I was kicked and put into an orphanage"
"Wait if you were in an orphanage then how did you get into UA, or even acquire this apartment"
"Reiko, please no distractions"
Doc shook his head "no that is understandable I was actually founded by the hero commission as my quirk is unique being able to use for control and support"
"So they paid for everything, including this home?"
Doc nodded "everything was offered as long as I made it into the hero course, though I did had little education since I was kicked out, having to be offered tutoring and studying by myself" Doc hold his hands together "I thought about feeling this dread of being alone for a long time, until well you know, when Randomizer came to life from mine quirk and the others"
"We know that, but we also wanted to know more about him. How is he still alive? We thought your control was limited?"
"Well it is hard to explain as it is, but it seemed that with mine, Senda, Rostica, Kuroda, and Muchi's quirks all together it seemed that it created its own sentient being, though that is all I could think about"
"So we basically created our own friend"
"That seemed to be the case… also Randomizer also found a name for himself"
Everyone's eyes widened as they looked at Randomizer as Doc gave him a nod to speak out the name he had chosen.
"Name… Synergos… natural"
"In summary his name is Synergos, and Randomizer is considered to by his hero name as the random hero"
"So did he come up with it on the spot?"
"It was actually during his development when me and Kuroda were working on him"
"Wait I actually remember that when we tried to fix his voice"
Synergos nodded "name… figure… helped"
Reiko looked and observed Synergos and did not understand one important factor: the head. "Doc, I was wondering, for the head we used Senda's foam, but how is he talking despite the foam hardening?"
Doc and Kuroda looked at each other "well that was also not so simple the foam did hardened, but just like everything else something happened"
Reiko raised an eyebrow "explain?"
"Synergos's body just started to adapt and in time his body just started to slowly act and form like ours"
"So you're saying that he managed to make a moving head from my foam alone?"
Doc nodded at Senda "that is correct, this also includes Muchi's mochi, and Rostica's ice as he start to use it like it's his quirk"
They were all amazed by what they had learned, but Aoi had a question "so do you still want to keep calling you Doc Doc, or your Hojiro?"
"I will allow you guys to call me whatever you want as you may call me Doc or Hojiro"
Goshi stands beside him "no matter what name you go by, just remember you are not in this alone" Doc looked at everyone seeing their faces not filled with guilt or shame but embraced the way that they have a new member to their team along with learning one of their student's name and story. They have found a new found respect for Doc Doc as they are glad to have him in their class and he is happy to be a part of this group of people to become a hero.
