It had a serious atmosphere as Hayami was suddenly called and had a faculty meeting with some of the teachers. They looked at him and expressed concern as to his nineteen second year students in class 2a, and not only that, the major disadvantage of only having nineteen students. They see the nineteen students always relying on each other as that is what Hayami trained his students to do, adapt and work together.
Hayami sighed "I know all those faces, you may tell me"
Midnight holds her hands together "we apologize for the inconvenience, but I think or we think it is time we talk about your class"
Present Mic nodded "I know man, having nineteen students feels off. Not to mention that your students just made an artificial hero just to make it a full twenty in some ways"
"That is exactly what I trained them to do, learning from each other and adapting to their strengths"
Aizawa crosses his arms "true, but then there is over reliance, they do show expressive teamwork and see each other as one. But if one of them falls then they lose their cohesion"
"But they survived till their second year, so why is it so sudden for this meeting?"
Cementoss spoke "it is true that your students also rely on terrain control, but the reason we held this meeting is to ensure each class gets the same treatment including yours Quick"
Principle Nezu agreed "indeed when your class was made we expected each hero course class would get the same treatment, but when Yakoto's class has twenty, your's have nineteen" then Nezu presses a button showing a display of Hayami's students "as you see here your students have improved the most despite only having one short, and with an entire school year one of your students went further beyond without a quirk" showing a display of Hakirai Goshi "it is good to see students improve with great potential and not to mention how creative your students have become"
A display showing an image of Randomizer, "why are you showing Randomizer, I know my students created him because we were short by one student, but it is only for training sessions."
Aizawa crossed his arms "that is true, but have you ever thought about how others will view something that isn't human"
Principle Nezu nodded "and it is time that we let you pick out a student to join your class and join with the other students who will be second year students"
"Okay so how about we bring in Randomizer, my students are fond of him and think of him as a genuine friend to them"
"Sorry Hayami, but we cannot do that as Randomizer may prove their worth to your class, he lacked some things that he doesn't have a proper body and that an amalgamation of quirks may prove him to be identified as a villain"
Hayami signed knowing his students may feel disappointed about this. Then more holographic screens displayed showing more students showing many from top general study classes. One had a musical sound based attack like Goshi's sword beams but required a certain item, another one had a heteromorphic shark appearance that looked to be like Poller but can be weakened with a lack of moisture. Another candidate had the quirk tricky as they can swap an object with a person or two of the same things, it sounds promising but Hayami cannot go for it. Everyone watched as Hayami cannot find a good student to join his soon to be second year class "I'm sorry if I am wasting time but I cannot find anyone who is capable to join"
Principle Nezu nodded "we understand the situation of your class as it is prone to adapt and rely on each other as a single team. So it is hard finding one who can work well with others and adapt like them"
Then suddenly from the corner of the screen Hayami noticed someone's face displayed that caught his attention "how about her" he tapped on the screen showing the face of a calm yet someone who understands.
Midnight crosses her arms "her? She was going to be a transfer student here as it is heard she is from somewhere in Europe"
Hayami looked closer to her ID as the quirk name suddenly caught his attention "Hurricane… it seems she can manipulate the wind around her extent how my kinetic pulse can also affect the air to some degree, not to mention that she is also intelligent and skill is on par with most of my students"
Principle Nezu smiled "so did you found your new student"
Hayami nodded and smiled "I think she will be a perfect addition to my class" he looked at the screen on last time "you will be welcome to be class soon, Whirl Azumaki"
Later when the faculty meeting had come to a conclusion they accepted the student soon to be a part of the upcoming class 2a. However it will take time as Hayami's class will transition from class 1a to class 2a and will take a month to two to finally give the new student Whirl her official uniform and all standards. Hayami also wanted to surprise his students but he didn't want to give them too much hope as he also wanted to be discreet about it. Their next school year is happening in a week as Hayami called all his students to meet him in the field near UA. They were all surprised to hear that their teacher called them all here as they thought they would get a bit more training before they become class 2a.
Reiko was the first to ask "Sensei is there a reason why you called all nineteen of us here in such a short noticed"
Hayami smirked "I'm glad you asked Fumoriki, you all heard that we're going to become class 2a as this will be your second school year here in UA, congrat everyone"
Goshi raised an eyebrow "is that all you were going to say?"
Hino nodded "yeah I thought this was going to be a final lesson you know, to end our summer?"
They all murmured a bit until Hayami raised his foot as they stopped almost making Hayami make a vibrating quake onto them. He cleared his throat "since you are becoming second year students, there had to be a change to our class… we are having a new student joining us for the rest of your school year"
The word of a new student joining them suddenly shocked them all as for one year they have been known as a hybrid class of nineteen students.
Uni raised her hand in excitement "who is joining us Sensei, will it be Synergos"
Hayami sighed "that was the ideal thought to you all, but I'm afraid he isn't chosen"
They all sighed in disappointment, but Hayami continued "there were many students from general studies who had potential to join you, but none had the requisites to join as this class is all about adaptation and improvement at a cellular level, like Goshi's technique." Goshi nodded as his technique Sacred Heart is an example of their improvement. "This student is a transfer student from Europe and her skills and quirk are perfect for our class as I cannot reveal her name yet, she will be apart of your class during the course of class 2a"
Mizuno tilted her head "wait does that mean she won't be coming here when it starts?"
Hayami nodded "Indeed, we still had to follow all the procedures for her to officially make her debut. But remember this, treat her like she's a part of the team and help her train to understand where she fits as there will be new tactics and exercises we will be changing."
"Yes Sensei" they all said in unison.
Then when the meeting ended Hayami dismissed them and enjoyed the remaining days of their summer. While below each of his students was filled with hope, encouragement, and curiosity as to who is the new student that will be joining them in the upcoming class; class. 2a.
