Throughout the final week of their summer each student did their best to enjoy what was left before going back to UA. Some trained for hero work, some did hero work with internships included, some studied preparing for school and some enjoyed the moment playing games and hanging with others.
Then a week later they all came back to UA as another school year has happened and all nineteen students gathered in their new classroom also known as class 2a. But suddenly someone noticed that there were eighteen instead of nineteen, their classmate Senda Kaito was somehow late.
Elsewhere Senda was seen running in his school uniform as fast as he could as his sister ran behind him. "This is getting real annoying sis, did you really have to mess up my alarm on the first day of school!"
His sister Mirei sighed "look I am going to be late too and pretty sure my class are also waiting for me as well"
"Yeah but your's is in class 2b, and mine are in class 2a"
"What got you so worked up bro, haven't seen you this worried since you did get that limited addition action figure of Cementoss"
"It's because my class is going to have a new student"
Mirei's eyes suddenly windened "so your class will actually be complete, who is it going to be someone from general studies?"
"I don't know, Sensei Hayami was very secretive about it. Can we not talk about this till we're at school!"
Mirei rolled her eyes as they continued to run to UA before the second bell rang. But they managed to get to UA in time as they dashed through the hallways and made it to their respective classes, class 2b, and class 2a. Inside Senda exhaled in relief as everyone was already sitting down at their respective desk. Senda sweated nervously as he looked around to see Hayami not here yet, he played off a bit normally as he scooted over towards his desk putting his bag to the side and sitting down and acting normally as if he was never late to begin with. Then the bell rang a second time and Hayami came into the classroom with a smile on his face as he went to the podium and looked at all his nineteen students.
"Alright, welcome everyone to your second school year, this means new lessons, new circulars, new training exercises, and finally our new student coming in a month or less"
Flare raised her hand "hold on, I thought you said our new classmate is coming in a month or two?"
"Glad you asked Rostica, it's because it was faster than expected, she has her ID but I haven't met her yet, I know she looks like but haven't met her in person"
Mondo raised his hand "you think you can give us her name?"
"Not yet, as I do like a surprise" everyone sighed as Hayami tapped the desk summoning a subtle vibration, they all became quiet as Hayami showed the first lesson. It is always apparent that they start with regular school work before training, they fill out worksheets that were given, solve math equations from Ectoplasm's given assignments to them.
Then later they did a bit of training to get each of Hayami's students a bit of improvement as showing that they haven't lost their edge over the break.
Each put on their training uniform and each had to perform their own ways of how they used their quirks now starting with Hanabria Aoi as she shows that she can make a denser cloud of pollen depending how much she produced though is the same with her emotions.
Senda Kaito showed how he can focus more structure of foam making a more capable barrier and that he can also layer the amount of foam as it hardens.
Blaze Cainza, though looking more bigger and suddenly fatter cracks his knuckles as he radiates a powerful amount of heat as steam poured out and Blaze's body suddenly formed into his regular perfect physical form as showing that the amount of fat he gain can improve the stamina and endurance to his body.
Shin Kuroda shows off his new skill with his static bind as there was a moving dummy, he kneeled to the ground and placed his hands onto the ground as a surge of electricity flowed through directly towards the dummy and stopped it from moving. It seems that Kuroda managed to fix his close range weakness and made the radius of his static bind not just from his hands, but can surge in many areas.
Hendrix Delmon looked back at Mizuno and Flare who were blushing at Kuroda. He sighed he volunteered next showing his improved digging skills, as when he punched from underground pillars of stone emerged showing that he has improved his move 'spike edge'.
Rei Mizuno though cannot see it from her eyes as she lets Toji and Ayamato throw their projectile quirks at her. Mondo Toji showed off some new throwing skills and better ricochet from power ball, and Hino Ayamato showed more improved dance moves while keeping each blast focused. Mizuno then uses her vector sight and shows her physical training as she dodges the projectile attacks.
Flare Rostica showed off how many ice sculptures she can create as she can make more structures along with new ways to create her artwork. She also allowed Reiko Fumoriki to use her interior to detect multiple structures seeing any details of weakness, and Doc Doc or Komaji Hojiro showed off how many statues he can control with his strings and needles, and also showed off how his new healing method can help his classmates.
Fennal Lani showed how he can create his paths to be more curved or around as he shows a loopy loop, and shows that moving his feet the path moves his feet automatically if he allows it.
Saiko Hamour slammed his head to the ground creating a more powerful shockwave.
Poller Maximoff can run faster when running on all fours and showed off his jaw strength.
Sachi Muchi, and Junix Uni showed off their extension limbs though Muchi can inflate her arms to be bigger for more powerful slams. Uni showed a more versatile strategy to her mobility with springs and slinkies.
Astral X shows more of her use with her camera, but in some cases also uses her star shot for a more blinding after effects as it may be a range type quirk, Astral likes to use her quirk for her camera.
Finally, Euro Mirror and Hakirai Goshi were on the field as it was a sparring match between the two. Euro started off first showing how many times he can teleport as he shows it around the arena catching Goshi off guard. But Goshi showed off his swordsmanship and sword beams at Euro using his instincts to hit him. But when Euro started to use his dimension walk to phase through Goshi's attacks. Goshi planted his feet and held his sword tightly as his eyes and the strand of his hair glowed and activated his technique. "Sacred Heart; Rinsing Sword!" Goshi swung his sword upward as the area was suddenly engulfed by a powerful rising tornado. It was so powerful that Euro was blown away by the immense raw power that didn't come from his quirk, but training.
Hayami concluded the exercise as he is glad that his students still kept their training to them and many impressed him the most, especially Goshi, Blaze, and surprisingly Aoi. Goshi is still depicted to be the strongest in their class, Blaze is still their best form of raw defence and offense with his body heat, and Aoi as Hayami himself was impressed that she also improved a lot as she managed to learn control over the amount of pollen she produces and to know when to shift her emotions to produce a different effect.
Hayami ended today's lesson and the rest of the day with new thoughts in their heads. Still needing to remind them to also apply it to each other as it shows the best for what their class is known for. When leaving the school and experiencing the first day of being official second year students, they have come at ease while knowing two things to them. One was that they are still heroes in training while participating in some internships. The second is that in a week or two they will have their twentieth student and become a full class in their second year.
