He pulled away from Anisha, and she immediately found his shoulders, finally able to breathe.
He shut his eyes tightly, panting lightly as well.
Gently, he put her down, then clenched his fists.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice raw. His body still burned with an uncontrollable need.
Anisha fell silent. The feel of his tongue still lingered within her.
She had honestly thought Nhel would take her right there, and she had prepared herself mentally for it.
At that moment, a shrill howl echoed through the trees.
Anisha gripped Nhel's arms, her hair standing on end.
A gigantic black wolf lunged out the next instant, launching straight at them.
Nhel swiftly pulled Anisha behind him.
She peeked from behind his back as the wolf began circling them, its movements fluid and predatory.
Nhel's eyes followed it carefully as it blended with the mist rising from the spring.
What made things worse was the fact that they were both bare….there was no way they could run.
