Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Web of Conspiracy

A week had passed since returning from the tea garden. Anvesha and Ayaan's relationship was now much closer than before. But with that closeness, anxiety had also increased.

Because Anvesha kept seeing that vision—Ayaan in jail. Handcuffed. Sorrow on his face.

Today morning, when Ayaan was leaving for office, Anvesha said, "Be careful. I'm feeling very uneasy today."

Ayaan smiled mildly. "Don't worry. You're there, I'm there—nothing will happen."

But Anvesha's mind wouldn't settle. She watched Ayaan's car leave through the window. And silently prayed—may nothing happen.

---

Going to the office, Ayaan saw—Arnab sitting in his chair! And papers scattered on the table.

"What's going on here?" Ayaan got angry.

Arnab smiled. "Brother, please sit. I have important things to discuss with you."

"Get up from my chair."

Arnab got up. But the smile didn't stop. "Brother, do you know—major discrepancies have been found in your company's accounts?"

Ayaan froze. "What are you saying?"

Arnab pushed the papers forward. "Look at this. Accounts from the last three years. Where money was transferred, who it was given to—all details. If given to the police, it'll become a case."

Ayaan looked at the papers. His face turned pale. All of this was false! But so perfectly fabricated that it seemed real!

"You did this!" Ayaan shouted.

Arnab smiled. "Any proof? You know—I'm outside all this. But the allegations against you aren't true, are they? Still, can you prove it?"

Ayaan understood—Arnab had set a trap. Conspiring to file false cases against him by creating fake documents.

"What do you want?"

Arnab sat on the chair and put his legs on the table. "Half share of the business. And this house. Then these papers will disappear."

Ayaan's anger almost made him explode. But he controlled himself. "Let me think."

Arnab stood up. "Think. But not too long. By tomorrow—I'll go to the police station. Remember, brother."

Arnab left. Ayaan sat down on the chair. Holding his head, thinking—what can be done?

---

Returning home, Ayaan told everything to Anvesha. Anvesha was stunned after listening. Her vision—Ayaan in jail—was it going to come true like this?

"What will we do?" Anvesha asked.

Ayaan shook his head. "I don't know. He's set a perfect trap. All evidence is in his favor. Against me."

Anvesha remained silent for a while. Then said, "Let me meet him."

Ayaan was startled. "What? Are you crazy?"

"Not crazy. What if I can extract the truth from him? I have a power, remember?"

Ayaan understood—Anvesha wanted to use her visionary power to read Arnab's mind. But this was dangerous.

"No. I can't let you go near that devil."

Anvesha held Ayaan's hand. "Trust me. I'll return. And with all his plans."

Ayaan remained silent for a long time. Then nodded. "Okay. But my men will be with you. From a distance. They'll enter if they sense danger."

Anvesha agreed.

---

The next day, Anvesha went to Arnab's office. Arnab was surprised to see her. Then smiled. "Oh! Sister-in-law! What brings you here?"

Anvesha said directly, "Why do you want to trap your brother?"

Arnab stopped smiling. Remained silent for a while. Then said, "Sit down. Let's talk."

Anvesha sat. Arnab pulled a chair and sat in front of her.

"Sister-in-law, do you know what happened to my father?"

Anvesha was silent. Arnab continued—

"My father was the founder of this company. Together with Ayaan's father. But Ayaan's father took everything alone. Cheating my father. When my father tried to prove it... he died."

Anvesha was startled. "What?"

Tears appeared in Arnab's eyes. "Ayaan's father didn't kill my father. But he put such mental pressure that my father committed suicide. And Ayaan knows this truth. Still remains silent. Because if the truth comes out, half the company will go to me."

Before Anvesha could say anything, Arnab spoke again, "I'm not taking revenge. I just want my rightful share. What my father deserved."

Anvesha was surprised. Was Arnab telling the truth? Or was this also acting?

Just then, Anvesha's forehead started burning. She closed her eyes—

She saw—Arnab! A small child. Crying. In front of him, his father's dead body. And beside him stood Ayaan's father. Guilt in his eyes?

The scene changed—Arnab growing up. Alone. No one. Hatred growing in his eyes. Hatred towards Ayaan's father. And towards Ayaan too.

Anvesha opened her eyes. Arnab was looking at her.

"What did you see?" Arnab asked.

Anvesha said nothing. Just stood up. "I... I'm leaving."

Arnab called from behind, "Sister-in-law, find out the truth. Then decide who is bad, who is good."

Anvesha came out. Thousands of questions in her mind. Was Arnab telling the truth? Or was this also his act?
