Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The Knife and The Truth

Anvesha's scream made Ayaan and Arnab freeze. Both turned to look at Anvesha. Anvesha had recoiled. Terror in her eyes.

"What happened?" Ayaan rushed to her.

Anvesha said in a trembling voice, "Arnab... he has a knife! He's coming to kill you!"

Arnab was bewildered. "What are you saying, sister-in-law? I don't have any knife!"

Ayaan looked at Arnab. His hands were empty. No knife.

"Anvesha, what did you see?" Ayaan asked.

Anvesha closed her eyes and tried to see again. That image floated up again—Arnab, with a knife, advancing towards Ayaan. But this time she noticed—there was no demonic look in Arnab's eyes. Rather, someone else seemed to be controlling him.

Anvesha opened her eyes and said, "Arnab, is there someone else inside you? Someone you don't recognize?"

Arnab froze. His face turned pale. "How did you know?"

Ayaan was surprised. "What's happening here?"

Arnab began to speak in a trembling voice—"Since childhood, another voice speaks inside me. It makes me angry. Spreads hatred. I can't control it. Sometimes it makes me do things with my hands. I can't remember anything."

Anvesha understood—there was someone else inside Arnab. That was probably the person with the knife she saw in her vision.

"Have you told anyone about this problem?" Anvesha asked.

Arnab shook his head. "No. No one would believe me. Everyone would say I'm crazy."

Ayaan stepped forward to Arnab. "We believe you. From now on, you're not alone. We're here."

Arnab looked up. For the first time, tears were visible in his eyes. "You?"

Anvesha also stepped forward. "Yes. We'll help you. See a doctor. There's a solution to this problem."

Arnab burst into tears. Years of accumulated pain, loneliness, hatred—all seemed to be coming out.

But suddenly Arnab's face changed. His eyes turned red. His face distorted. In another voice, he said—"No one can help me! I'll finish him!"

Arnab suddenly pulled out a knife from his pocket! Advanced towards Ayaan!

Anvesha screamed—"Ayaan get back!"

Ayaan stepped back. But Arnab was advancing quickly. Holding that knife high.

Anvesha understood—this wasn't Arnab now. That entity inside him was speaking.

"Arnab! Listen!" Anvesha shouted, "You are strong! You can defeat him! We're with you!"

Arnab paused for a moment. His face began to change again—sometimes himself, sometimes that other entity.

"I can't... he's very strong..." Arnab said in his own voice.

Ayaan stepped forward. Very courageously, he extended his hand towards Arnab. "We'll do it together. You're my brother. Blood relation. I won't leave you."

Tears rolled down Arnab's eyes. The knife fell from his hand. He collapsed on the ground and started crying.

Anvesha and Ayaan went and stood beside him. Embraced Arnab. All three crying together. In place of hatred, love had now taken its place.
