Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: In Search of Mother

Anvesha set out with Arnab to that place, where she had seen Arnab's mother in her vision. Arnab was impatient. After so many years, news of his mother!

On the way, Anvesha called Ayaan. Ayaan listened to everything and said, "I'm coming too. Don't go alone."

After a while, Ayaan arrived. The three set out together. Destination—a small village outside Dhaka. According to Anvesha's vision, Arnab's mother lived there.

The car moved. Arnab remained silent. Hope and fear—both in his eyes.

"What if mother doesn't want to recognize me?" Arnab whispered.

Ayaan squeezed his hand. "She will. You're her son."

---

The car stopped as they reached the village. Anvesha looked around—this was that place! That temple, that pond, that tree she had seen in her vision.

Standing in front of a small hut, Anvesha said, "He lives in that hut."

The three moved forward. Knocked on the door. An elderly woman opened the door from inside. Wearing a faded saree. Fatigue in her eyes. Wrinkles on her face.

But Arnab recognized her. Those eyes! Those mother's eyes!

"Mother...!"

The elderly woman froze. Stared blankly at Arnab. Then her eyes widened.

"Arnab? You... my Arnab?"

Arnab rushed and fell at his mother's feet. Started crying. The woman also cried. Seeing her son after so many years.

Anvesha and Ayaan stood beside them. Tears in their eyes.

---

After the crying stopped, everyone sat inside. The woman began to speak—

"After your father died, I couldn't stay there anymore. Ayaan's father drove me away. Said—leave quietly. Otherwise, he'd kill me. I was scared and ran away."

Arnab was surprised. "Ayaan's father? Why?"

The woman said in a trembling voice, "I had found out the truth. Ayaan's father cheated your father. And to cover up that crime, he removed me."

Ayaan hung his head in shame. Hearing about his father's crime.

The woman spoke again, "I've lived like a beggar. But I thought—one day my son would come. Today it came true."

Arnab held his mother's hand and said, "Mother, from now on you'll stay with us. I won't leave you alone anymore."

The woman embraced her son and cried. Tears of joy.

---

On the way back, everyone in the car was silent. Many thoughts. Suddenly Arnab said, "Brother, what your father did—you're not responsible for that. From today, we're all one family. Let's forget the past."

Ayaan looked at Arnab. Gratitude in his eyes. "Thank you, Arnab."

Anvesha smiled softly. Today was the day for everyone to start anew.
