I flop down on my chair on the citadel wall. Today's my day to watch for nightmare creatures. I put my legs up just watching with no real interest or care.
Damn, this is boring. Sunnys are out there killing nightmare creatures and getting soul shards while I'm just stuck on the walls.
To be fair I get to not get super murdered by nightmare creatures. It's not like I'll be here for long anyway. I take out a pack of cards and I summon Frozen Singer.
We start playing cards, I lose badly as well and I keep losing. I sigh after a while, it's not fun to keep losing over and over.
I take out some jerky, I give some to Frozen Singer and Divine Flame who has been sleeping at my feet like a dog.
"I don't know why I keep playing cards with you I always lose."
Ice appears in the air creating words
"I think it's quite amusing"
Frozen singer is unable to speak but she can create floating ice words.
"Of course you do. You're the one winning this shit. Really how cold could you be?"
"Your puns are forced and so bad it's chilling"
I make a face
"...fair point"
I walk on the walls for a bit before jumping down cutting up a dormant beast.
I hear the spell but I ignore it. I activate my wings and Frozen Singer floats down grabbing my hand, she then pulls me back onto the wall. I wipe my armor off.
"Well let's continue walking"
She nods....
"What does your face even look like?"
She tilts her head
"My face?"
"Oh no, another being whose head I've never seen the face of."
She lifts the veil. Her face is incredibly beautiful but like the rest of her, it looks like she died of hypothermia. Her eyes are an ice-like blue and her hair is a very bright blonde. Very pretty, lives up to the name. I nod to her.
"That's about what I expected."
She drops her veil
"Really? That's what you expected sure"
We keep walking to deal with any other nightmare creatures.
I jump off the walls
"Sun!"
Sunny looks up startled
"■■■■!"
He jumps out of the way barely not being landed on
"Stop doing that"
I tilt my head
"I haven't hit you."
He points at me
"your going to you crazy fuck"
We walk into the citadel. I flip a piece of ice in my hand. Sunny goes to his room and quickly comes back. I elbow him
"Today's the day"
He smiles and scoffs
"I'm excited too but still stop trying to jump on me"
I roll my eyes
"I know you can dodge it so it's fineee. Don't be so cold"
He stiffens
"What's up with all these damn ice puns?"
"I wanted a thing."
He looks over
"A thing?"
"Yeah you have your whole boil down the truth so much it sounds fake thing"
He gives me a very unenthusiastic look
"Aw so that's my thing."
I hop on the stones, I remember when we first got here. When the saint transported us here he fell into the water and I laughed at him and he pushed me into the water. I look at the obsidian knife I shrug and I touch the gateway.
I get out of the sleeping pod. I rush to put on some warm clothes. I then move over to Sunny's room. Soon he opens the door and he starts walking. I follow
"So the call?"
He shakes his head
"Damn so close. Food eh?"
"Well, it's not like you could make it"
I frown and nod. As we walk nobody knows who we are. Well, people know who I am just not my face.
I always wear my helmet during anything propaganda-related. I just do that because I'm uncomfortable with that many people I don't know talking to me.
After we eat Sunny gets the call. He smiles and gets up
"Let's go then"
I quickly get up. A home, We bought a home. I did that because I didn't want to deal with my family anymore, I already sent them a ton of money but that doesn't mean I want them pestering me.
I also bought it with Sunny because for 1, I can't cook so I'd need someone to cook for me and it's easier to live with Sunny for 2, money reasons, and for 3, I don't fully know how to live alone.
We will meet there when noon comes around so I have time to stressfully stare at the wall of my room.
When it's noon I walk out of the academy I look at the sea of candles. I shake my head, weirdos Neph is just a person not some living legend or whatever. I hear Sunny mutter to himself
"Zealots..."
We get back to walking. We get on the tram I take a seat next to him. I open up the network and I look up my true name. Mask kink, mask kink, autism joke, mask kink, mask kink, how does one find that kink out i show it to Sunny, he gives me a look of pure revulsion. I go back to scrolling. Soon we get to the house the contractor is here
"awakened sunless and awakened ■■■■"
I don't pay any attention to what's going on at all. I just wave the guy to talk to Sunny about all this. It's less that I'm excited and more so that I'm still not the best with talking to those I don't know. Just not my thing, not that sunny much better.
I do nod at the kitchen, not that I'll be cooking but it's nice to have. The guy also keeps mentioning soundproof padding in Sunny's room.
It takes me until we get to the Dreamscape pod until I realize the guy thinks Sunny's going to be having girls over, Sunny out of all people.
Soon we also get to the craft I nod it's pretty damn nice I got to say. Although Sunny keeps embarrassing the contractor, it's not on purpose but still it's really really really funny.
Soon the guy leaves, I quickly go to check if there's snacks, there are and I take a bag of chips. I notice sunny peaking into the kitchen
"What? I'm not going to cook it's fine"
I'm sitting looking at art stuff on the network when I hear a loud crash. I get up almost running over to the kitchen. To which I see sunny with his hand in the fridge, and the door isn't open. I point at him
"Pfft- you- pfft you"
"Shut up ■■■■"
I laugh at him, he punched through the fridge
"And I thought I was a kitchen disaster"
"I am not like you"
To that I laugh even harder.
