At that moment, his secretary Lisa also walked in, her excitement plainly visible to the naked eye.
"Boss, this is the current number of Baymax units sold and pre-ordered as of just now. The total has reached 132 units."
"And that's without our company even starting full sales efforts yet. We only took the initiative to approach interested clients."
"Otherwise, by my estimate, that number could at least be doubled."
"Boss, if anyone were to be called the greatest genius scientist right now, I think it would definitely have to be you."
After handing Killian the sales report and transaction summary for review, Lisa stepped to the side of the desk and spoke softly. By the time she finished, the admiration in her heart was practically written across her face.
After all, that was a medical robot.
God knew how long she had stood there frozen the first time she saw that thing up close.
It was simply unbelievable.
"Hahaha, Lisa, even if you flatter me, I still won't raise your salary."
Hearing his secretary's praise, Killian could not help but laugh before replying.
"By the way, how is the progress on our own engineering tower?"
But after teasing her a little, Killian quickly returned to a serious expression.
"I just finished clearing things with the government. They've already approved the land use plan."
"According to your requirements, the total area is three million square meters. The land price is five dollars per square meter, so the total would be fifteen million dollars. If we pay the full amount at once, the government is willing to lower it to twelve million."
"Mm, good. Pay it all at once. To me, money is just numbers. What I want is speed. Understood?"
After hearing Lisa's report, Killian nodded and said with approval.
In truth, that was only because the land they had chosen was not too far from the city area.
Otherwise, if he had chosen some truly remote location, places like that were often sold at just a few hundred dollars for four thousand square meters, and even then sellers still worried no one would buy them.
One of America's biggest characteristics was exactly that, vast land and sparse population.
And just how vast was it?
They had already turned land sales into permanent ownership, yet even so, for decades, the United States still had huge amounts of land left unsold.
There was no helping it.
Humans were social creatures. No matter how cheap it was, living deep in the mountains in total isolation did not fit human nature, so everyone flocked to the big cities, while remote land was barely glanced at.
And the same was true now.
Once the local government learned that Killian, this huge sucker in their eyes, wanted to buy such a massive amount of land, they were practically overjoyed.
A process that normally took months was finished in just one week, because they were afraid that if they dragged it out any longer, Killian might change his mind.
Of course, Killian knew very well that even if he invested in real estate, Miami would still make him money sooner or later.
Because in just a few years, as New York got repeatedly turned into the center of large-scale disasters and battles, massive numbers of people would inevitably spread out into other states, and Miami would benefit greatly from that.
Of course, none of that really had anything to do with him.
If he actually wanted to get into real estate seriously, he would not be playing around on this small scale in America. With the wealth he had now, if he went east, would he not casually be able to lie back and win trillions?
"Understood. Also, I've already started coordinating with Stark Construction. According to your requirements, their final quote is eight million dollars, and the total construction time will be one year."
"And there's also a biological laboratory on a small island beside The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. It's currently on the verge of bankruptcy because of financial issues, and the person in charge is looking for buyers. I've already inspected it, and it really does fit your requirements well."
"And the key point is privacy and security."
"The entire island is surrounded by water on all sides, and there is only one bridge of nearly one hundred meters connecting it to the outside world."
"If you need a laboratory urgently, Boss, then I would suggest this should be our first choice."
"There are also several other candidate laboratories. I've organized all of them into the file attached at the bottom as well."
After finishing the first report, Lisa stepped closer to her boss. She moved the top file aside, unfolded the one underneath, and began going through the information and photographs inside bit by bit as she explained.
Looking at the pages of material Lisa had prepared, Killian could not help feeling deeply satisfied.
Almost every location and every proposal matched exactly what he had in mind.
And even the earlier simple reports had included all the detailed data that should have been there, from production to sales, along with every cost in between, all clearly laid out.
"You've done very well. Honestly, if everything in these documents is accurate, then I really don't know how I should reward you, Lisa."
For a moment, looking at the woman in front of him, Killian found himself more and more satisfied. After closing the proposal, he leaned back in his chair and folded his hands.
"So, Boss, is that your way of letting me choose?"
Hearing her boss's sudden words, Lisa felt a burst of delight inside. Then, with the corner of her lips lifted, she spoke.
"Perhaps."
In response to Lisa's words, Killian merely shrugged and offered no explanation.
"I think my current abilities are enough for me to take on many jobs."
"And I also have advantages that no one else does."
After hearing Killian's reply, although Lisa was not entirely sure what he meant, she still decided to seize this opportunity.
So after taking a deep breath, Lisa looked at Killian with extremely determined eyes and spoke.
"Oh?"
"Most of the company's work is passed from you to me first, and then I'm the one coordinating and handling things in between."
"Sure, I may not have the glamorous résumé of outside professional managers, but I can say this, within AIM, I can step in directly and take over most positions perfectly, even director-level roles."
"And on top of that, after being by your side for so long, when it comes to your requirements, I can fully ensure that your instructions are carried out from top to bottom without deviation."
Faced with Killian's questioning look, Lisa continued speaking, and the further she went, the more confidence she seemed to gain.
"It seems I may not really have a reason to reject you."
"Okay. I'll give you a few tasks."
"First, find a secretary to take over your current position."
"Second, starting today, you'll be responsible for following up on the progress of the AIM technology park."
"Third, restructure the company. I need a clear division of ranks and responsibilities from top to bottom. You'll be responsible for giving me a complete plan."
