Chapter 34 - Chapter 34

"So... how exactly would we cooperate?"

After hesitating for a long time, Maya Hansen finally asked.

After all, that was the real purpose of her visit.

"Good question. I like you."

"I have several proposals here."

"First, project profit sharing. I provide the investment, and once the project matures, my company will take ninety percent of the profits generated by the project, while you take ten percent. During the development process, depending on factors such as investment input, research progress, and so on, I will allocate an additional ten to twenty percent of the project's revenue as incentives. That would be net profit."

"And throughout the whole project, you would be the one leading it. As for your research, the company will not interfere in any way during the R&D process, and it will fully guarantee all the project funding you require."

"Second, project equity allocation. You join my company, and I will give you one percent of the shares. In return, you'll be responsible for the company's biological research projects."

"That includes, but is not limited to, your current Ultimate Regeneration project. Once your current project succeeds, I will also give you an additional one to three percent in equity as an incentive."

"Third, my company will buy out your current research project for one billion dollars. From that moment on, the project will have nothing more to do with you."

"At the same time, you may choose whether or not to formally join my company. I can guarantee you, at minimum, the position of research team leader, allowing you to independently head a scientific team responsible for company projects."

"If you're confident enough, you could even build your own team from scratch."

After hearing Maya Hansen's question, Killian proactively laid out the options he had already thought through on the way here.

And any one of these plans was highly tempting to the current Maya Hansen.

If Kennedy had seen the second option right now, he probably would have exploded on the spot.

After all, he had spent five hundred billion dollars just to buy five percent of the shares, while this woman, with just one technology, could directly get the equivalent of ten billion dollars in shares, and later possibly even another thirty billion.

Of course, Kennedy would never get to see this.

As far as Killian was concerned, true talent had to be met with sufficient treatment and respect.

Money could never truly be exhausted, but the important thing was to bind talented people to you through shared利益. As long as Maya Hansen was on his side, Killian had the confidence that with her talent, she could create returns worth trillions for him.

He had never lacked money.

"It seems you really have a lot of confidence in me. All three options lead to me joining your company."

After hearing Killian's conditions, Maya Hansen immediately noticed the common thread among them and said so.

"Of course. My principle with talent has always been very simple. Never let it slip away."

Killian answered her question with a slight smile, confident and gentle.

After hearing his answer, Maya Hansen fell silent.

To be honest, no matter which of Killian's options it was, all of them far exceeded her expectations for this meeting.

The third option, one billion dollars, even if she never did research again after that, the money would be enough for her to live extravagantly for the rest of her life. If she managed it properly, she could even use it to rise further.

And the first option, where the project was led and controlled by her, with continuous funding, and if the project succeeded, she would even get thirty percent of the returns.

It could be said that no researcher could resist that option.

Her own project, under her own command, with profit sharing and incentives, it was practically heaven.

As for the second option, it was the same, but that one was simply too good.

So good that she almost did not dare believe it.

At present, AIM's market value was rising every single day. There were even rumors already circulating that many pharmaceutical companies and large financial groups wanted to buy into it or acquire shares at astronomical prices.

If she chose that option, she would go from a worker directly into management.

"I choose the first one."

After thinking for a while, Maya Hansen finally made up her mind, looked up at Killian, and answered.

She knew very clearly what she needed most right now.

The second option was too much.

So much that she did not believe she deserved it. If she took it, that would mean accepting tens of billions of dollars in value.

And she also firmly believed that if Killian truly valued talent the way he said he did, then through her own efforts, she could still win back everything she had not chosen now.

But most importantly, she trusted her Ultimate Regeneration project even more.

As long as the funding was sufficient, it would absolutely generate astronomical returns in the future.

The more she thought about it, the more determined she became in her choice.

"You're sure?"

Looking at Maya Hansen, who had made a choice that genuinely surprised him, Killian's eyes were full of astonishment.

After all, anyone even a little clever should have known what to choose here. Even if she had chosen the third option, Killian would not have found it strange, because that was immediate cash in hand.

But the first one...

After thinking about it, Killian could not help laughing.

It seemed she really did have enough confidence in her own research.

After all, if she truly believed in herself, that could mean a thirty percent share of the returns.

"I'm sure, Boss. So now, would you like me to introduce the progress of my research to you?"

After nodding firmly, Maya Hansen immediately spoke to Killian.

She was afraid that if the conversation continued much longer, she might actually be crushed into surrender by the weight of his other offers.

"Of course."

After gesturing for her to begin, Killian leaned back in his chair with ease and watched Maya Hansen and her plant with a relaxed expression.

"This is the successful specimen from my current experiments."

"Although it still has some instability, I've already changed the telomerase calculation model. Within a month, it will become a mature Ultimate Regeneration marker."

"After that, we can move on to biological experimentation."

After hearing Killian's words, Maya Hansen took a file out of the backpack behind her and handed it to him while explaining.

"So if, as you say, it's only one step away from maturing, could you briefly explain its current abilities to me?"

After giving the documents Maya Hansen handed over a simple glance, Killian shifted his attention to the plant she had brought and asked with curiosity.

After all, if he remembered correctly, that plant had once exploded, and the blast was no weaker than a grenade.

And the fact that he could still see it here the very next day meant its regenerative ability was absolutely terrifying.
