I exhaled sharply.
"What do you want to know about them?" I asked after a beat.
"Everything," he replied, tapping his fingers on the leather, plush car seat. "Their likes, their dislikes. What they're like at school. I need to know everything."
I paused, musing to myself that he seemed a bit too eager. Was this the same cold Wolf King I had heard so much about?
"It would take some time to know everything." I finally stated blandly. He was their father, I couldn't stop him from wanting to know them, but the fact was he had missed so much already. Their formative years were already behind them. Their personalities shone more and more, and would only continue in that vein for the rest of their lives.
Xavier glanced at me, and I felt it, even though I kept my gaze forward and was practically pressed against the opposite car door across from him.
"Then start from the beginning," he said. "When were they born?"
