One Piece: Lone Monster
Chapter 8
Ron and Sengoku exchanged several powerful blows before separating. Ron calmly shrank his body down to around two meters tall, while Sengoku also reverted from his giant Buddha form back to his normal human size.
Ron grinned widely as he rolled his shoulders. "Fighting strong people really is fun."
Sengoku sighed heavily while staring at the young giant before him. "Why do talented people like you always choose to become pirates instead of joining the Marines?"
Ron lunged forward again, this time with his arm coated in Armament Haki. His fist shot toward Sengoku with explosive force.
"You already know the answer to that," Ron said coldly.
Sengoku blocked the punch with his own Haki-coated fist. The impact echoed loudly across the shore, yet Sengoku remained silent.
Ron didn't care about his silence.
They continued exchanging blows as Ron spoke.
"You think everyone wants to become a dog of the Celestial Dragons like you?" Ron said bluntly. "Justice? Don't even talk about that nonsense."
"There's no such thing as justice in this world."
Sengoku's eyes narrowed in anger as he retaliated with a powerful punch.
Both fists landed directly on each other's faces.
Sengoku was pushed back several steps, while Ron only slid back a single step. His Ancient Giant and Lunarian physique gave him overwhelming physical durability.
"What do you know about justice?" Sengoku asked sternly.
Ron laughed lightly as he continued attacking.
"You call it justice to hunt pirates who loot, kill, and commit crimes," Ron said while throwing another punch. "But what about the corrupt nobles?"
"Don't they do the same things?"
Sengoku remained silent as their battle continued, fists and kicks colliding repeatedly.
"Why can they do whatever they want, but pirates can't?" Ron continued calmly. "Is it because of their status? Their privilege? Their bloodline?"
"Why does your so-called justice protect them?"
The wind around them trembled from the force of their clashes.
Ron's voice became colder.
"Face it, Sengoku. The Marines are just dogs raised by the World Government."
"Your job is simply to wave the banner of justice and maintain the illusion of peace."
"Anyone who threatens that illusion becomes a pirate or a criminal."
"That's the truth of your Marines."
For a moment, Sengoku had no response.
Even so, his expression hardened again.
"Regardless of your opinion, you must be captured," Sengoku said firmly. "A monster with your potential cannot be allowed to roam the seas freely."
Ron's grin widened.
"Then come at me."
Sengoku raised his glowing fist.
"Buddha Impact!"
Ron responded instantly.
"Fist Bone Impact!"
The two attacks collided violently, releasing a massive shockwave that sent sand and wind exploding across the battlefield.
Sengoku's eyes suddenly narrowed.
"That attack… that's Garp's technique."
However, when the dust cleared, Ron was already gone.
Using the cover created by their clash and his incredible speed, he had already escaped the battlefield.
Sengoku stared toward the empty horizon.
"Another monster has appeared on the seas," he muttered quietly.
"The coming era will be disastrous for the Marines."
Yet Ron's earlier words continued echoing in his mind.
For the first time in his life, Sengoku quietly asked himself a question.
What is justice?
---
Meanwhile, far away from the battlefield, Ron spread his black wings and flew across the sky.
The fight had been a good warm-up, but Sabaody Archipelago was far too close to Mary Geoise and Marineford.
If he had stayed any longer, stronger reinforcements would have arrived.
Ron crossed over the Red Line, heading toward the New World.
At the same time, news of his actions spread across the entire world.
A new bounty poster quickly began circulating.
Mad Titan – Ragnar D. Ron
Bounty: 800,000,000 Berries
Dead or Alive
---
The news eventually reached the Rocks Pirates.
"Vohahahaha! Someone actually dared to kill those pigs," Rocks D. Xebec laughed loudly while holding the bounty poster.
"Is this information accurate?"
Stussy nodded calmly. "Yes, Captain. The boy killed two Celestial Dragons at Sabaody Archipelago."
"He even fought Vice Admiral Sengoku and managed to escape."
A deep laugh echoed from another corner.
"Gurararara… quite an interesting brat," said Edward Newgate.
"And he's smart too," Newgate continued. "If he had stayed there any longer, escaping would have been nearly impossible."
"Jihahahaha! Are you interested in that giant brat, Captain?" Shiki laughed loudly.
Rocks didn't respond immediately.
Instead, he carefully stared at Ron's bounty poster.
Most people would only see a giant, but Rocks noticed something more.
The skin color, the hair, and the strange ability to shrink his size.
If his guess was correct, then the wings could easily be hidden.
Rocks slowly grinned.
"Vohahahaha… if what I'm thinking is true…"
"Then that brat is a monster."
Newgate, Shiki, and Stussy were visibly surprised.
Being called a monster by Rocks was extremely rare praise.
For Rocks to say that meant he considered Ron to have potential comparable to Newgate or Shiki.
However, Rocks didn't explain his reasoning.
"Let's wait and see if my guess is correct," he said mysteriously.
"If it is… many things will change."
"Vohahahahaha!"
---
Meanwhile, the Gorosei had also received the report.
They too had their suspicions.
However, they refused to believe the possibility.
"That race was exterminated long ago," one elder said coldly.
"It's impossible for such a monster to exist."
---
Ron, however, knew nothing about these discussions.
And even if he did, he wouldn't care.
His next destination was Sleepy Hollow Town, where a certain Mythical Zoan Vampire Devil Fruit was hidden.
After obtaining it, Ron planned to return to Paradise.
There, he intended to spend few years focusing on training his swordsmanship and Haki.
The era of monsters had only just begun.
{Ahem, guys suggest me a mythical Zoan for mc. I will be waiting till god valley. }
