Chapter 9 - One Piece: Lone Monster Chapter 9

One Piece: Lone Monster

Chapter 9

After obtaining the Mythical Zoan Vampire Fruit in the New World, Ron eventually returned to Paradise and settled on a deserted island to focus on training.

Most of his time was spent practicing swordsmanship in his human-sized form. Swinging his sword repeatedly, he slowly refined his control and technique.

Ron sighed while looking at Surtr resting in his hand.

"I'll probably have to make a deal with Charlotte Linlin someday," he muttered. "Turning this sword into a homie might be the only way I can properly use it in my giant form."

His training routine was brutal and relentless.

Ron practiced sword strikes for hours, punched mountains to strengthen his fists, and dove deep into the sea to practice sword swings under extreme water pressure.

Occasionally, he would fly across the ocean to hunt pirates for fun or visit nearby islands. Staying alone on one island for too long was something Ron simply couldn't tolerate.

Because of his previous fight with Sengoku, the news about him eventually reached Monkey D. Garp.

After hearing that Ron had copied one of his techniques, Garp immediately began chasing him across the seas.

Of course, Ron knew that was just an excuse.

That crazy man simply wanted someone strong to fight.

Whenever they met, the two would clash fiercely.

Fighting Garp was always enjoyable, and both of them grew stronger with every encounter. Ron also managed to copy several of Garp's powerful fist techniques during their battles.

Despite technically being enemies, their relationship slowly turned into something closer to rivals or frenemies.

Time passed quickly under this unusual routine.

One day, Ron and Garp were sitting together on a beach, competing to see who could eat more food.

"I won't lose to you, brat!" Garp shouted while stuffing his mouth with food.

"Stop calling me brat, you crazy monkey," Ron replied while eating just as quickly. "I'm a giant. Do you really think you can beat me?"

The Marines accompanying Garp had already grown used to these strange situations.

However, a newly recruited Marine stared in complete shock.

"Why are we eating with a pirate worth 800 million berries?" he whispered in disbelief.

Bogard calmly patted the young Marine's shoulder.

"You'll get used to it, kid," he said casually.

Ron glanced at Garp while chewing his food.

"Hey Garp, why don't you become a pirate and join me?" Ron said with a grin. "We could build a crew stronger than the Rocks Pirates."

Garp snorted loudly.

"Not happening," he said firmly. "I'm a Marine."

Ron burst out laughing.

"Bahahaha! You really are something, proudly admitting you're a dog of the Celestial Dragons."

Veins popped on Garp's forehead.

"Who are you calling a dog, you bastard?" Garp shouted angrily. "I'm a Marine who upholds justice!"

Ron rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, that nonsense you call justice," he said calmly.

"Then why don't you prove it?"

Ron leaned forward slightly.

"Go to Sabaody Archipelago and capture every slave trader there."

"If you do that, I'll join the Marines."

"Or better yet, arrest a few corrupt nobles and Celestial Dragons."

Garp fell silent.

After a moment, he sighed deeply.

"Your words are even more dangerous than your fists," Garp admitted. "Even Sengoku was troubled for months after meeting you."

Ron simply grinned.

"The truth always hurts, Garp."

Garp stared at the sea quietly before speaking again.

"You know someone has to stand there," he said slowly. "I can't change the Marines."

"But I want to save as many people as I can."

"I know I can't save everyone… but I'll save as many as possible."

The Marines around them fell silent after hearing those words.

Ron suddenly laughed and dropped his arm on Garp's shoulder.

"Fine, fine," he said casually. "You stay a Marine, and I'll stay a pirate."

"Let's follow our own paths."

"But don't fall behind, Garp."

Garp snorted confidently.

"In your dreams."

Both of them laughed, and the heavy atmosphere quickly disappeared as if it had never existed.

After a moment, Ron glanced at him again.

"So… still chasing Roger?"

Garp immediately gritted his teeth.

"That bastard!" he growled. "He runs away every single time."

"Just wait… I'll capture him someday."

Ron laughed loudly.

"You're really obsessed with Roger."

After finishing an absurd amount of food, Garp and the Marines eventually left the island.

Ron stretched his arms lazily after watching their ship disappear into the distance.

"Back to training."

The next three years passed quickly.

Ron continued training across many deserted islands, frequently sparring with Garp and hunting pirates for entertainment.

During that time, he also encountered the Kuja Pirates several times while traveling across the seas.

By now, Ron had reached the age of twenty-one.

The Roger Pirates had already entered the Grand Line, while Garp continued chasing them relentlessly.

Whenever Roger managed to escape from Garp, Garp often came looking for Ron to spar instead.

Because of their constant battles, both Ron and Garp improved rapidly.

They copied each other's techniques and constantly refined them, each trying to outdo the other during their next fight.

Meanwhile, Roger often ended up suffering the consequences.

Ron chuckled whenever he imagined Roger being beaten up by an increasingly stronger Garp.

One afternoon, Ron was cooking sea kings near the shore of a deserted island.

Suddenly, his Observation Haki detected something approaching.

A ship was slowly sailing toward the island.

It was being pulled by two massive serpents.

Ron quickly shrank back to his human size and casually placed more food on the table from his inventory.

Once everything was prepared, he looked toward the ship as it docked near the shore.

A beautiful reddish-pink-haired woman stepped onto the island first.

Behind her, an even more beautiful black-haired woman followed.

{Ahem, guys suggest me a mythical Zoan for mc. I will be waiting till god valley. }
