"What happened, Vijay?"
"Oh man, I can't find the key."
"Check if it fell somewhere down?"
"Yeah, wait a second."
Vijay starts searching for the key, but he can't find it.
"What kind of problem is this? How can the key suddenly disappear?"
"Vijay, maybe after getting out of the car, you took the key with you… and while seeing those strange illusions, you dropped it."
"Maybe."
"Let's go back and check there. Maybe we'll find it."
"Hmm."
They both go back and search for some time, but still can't find the key.
"Alka, I'm tired now. I don't think we're going to find it."
"Then what should we do?"
"What else? Let's ask someone for a lift. Maybe someone will help."
"Hmm, okay."
They come to the road and wait for a ride, but even after a long time, no one stops.
Now it's already 2:30 PM. The sun is harsh.
Both Alka and Vijay feel extremely thirsty. Their water bottle is empty.
They sit for a while, but when they can't bear it anymore, Vijay says:
"Alka, sitting here won't help. We should go inside the village. Maybe we'll find water."
"You're right. You should have said earlier."
"You could have said it too."
"Alright, let's go."
They go inside the village.
All the houses are empty, but none of them are locked.
They split up and start searching for water.
After some time, Vijay finds a well in the courtyard of a house.
"Alka! Alka!"
"Yes?"
"Come here! Look what I found!"
Alka comes there and gets very happy seeing the well full of water.
"At least now we won't die of thirst."
"But Vijay, how will we take the water out?"
"Wait, I'll manage something."
Vijay ties together old clothes lying in the house to make a long rope, while Alka brings a bucket from another house.
They pull out water and drink it. Finally, they feel relieved.
"I really thought I would die of thirst."
"But you didn't."
"You're saying that like you were eagerly waiting for me to die."
"I don't wait for things. When I want to kill you, I'll kill you myself."
"What?! You won't feel even a little pity?"
"Look at me… such an innocent face. At least show some mercy."
"Fine. Then tell me, how do you want to die?"
"Well, if you're the one killing me, I'm not afraid. But you should be with me when I die… and make sure it doesn't hurt."
"Like?"
"Like… some way where there's no pain. Not cutting veins or hanging. I read on the internet that burning hurts a lot—so don't burn me, okay?"
"No. Now I'll definitely burn you."
"Oh God, you're so cruel."
"Exactly. That's why I say—don't stay with me. You'll regret it. But you never listen."
Vijay comes closer, looks into her eyes:
"I don't even want to hear such things. My heart has chosen you. Now whatever the outcome is, I don't care."
"Sometimes you should care about the outcome. What if later you don't even get the chance to regret?"
"Every decision in life has been like a deal… except my heart. If you love, love truly. If you turn even this into a deal, you'll lose yourself."
"Now whether this heart leads me to the end or just the beginning—I don't care."
"Oh God! Anyone would go crazy hearing you. You really are mad."
"Then that's good. Better to spend life with a madman than alone."
"Absolutely not."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I know you're again talking about marriage. But I've told you many times—I can't marry you."
"If you want to stay with me like this, fine. Otherwise, you go your way and I'll go mine. Understood?"
"Okay. From today, I won't talk about marriage again. But why do you hate marriage so much?"
"If you have anything else to talk about, then talk. Otherwise, there's no need to talk to me."
They keep walking like this, talking nonsense, and evening turns into darkness.
But even after all that time, they still can't get out of the village.
"Alka, what is this? Why has it gotten so dark? We've been walking for so long, but still haven't reached the car. It only took us a few minutes to come here."
Vijay checks his watch.
It's already 6 PM.
"Alka, I think something is wrong. Look—it's 6 PM. We've been walking for so long."
"Yes… that's true. We've been walking continuously and still stuck in the same village. I also feel something is not right."
"And now it's dark. Soon we won't even be able to see."
"What is that?!"
