Arc 3 chapter 39
First Zone
The field the girls found themselves into was beautiful, not just beautiful, it was fantastic even though it had no animals because it was a sub dimension it still had beautiful flowers covering it and the grass was well done. The trees were placed in a sort of pattern like, making them look like amazing decoration of sorts.
The girls along with their trainer Milly went to the center of the field and the girls couldn't help to just admire the place as Milly took out three balls from her bag and gave it to the three students she was training today. Each girl was given her own ball and then Milly placed a carpet at the field and invited the girls to sit down with her.
The girls were a little bit confused by this but they sat down on the carpet with Milly and then Milly clapped her hands together and smiled at the girls.
Milly: today you three will be learning deep mana control like we said earlier.
Rachel: yeah but what are these balls for?
Milly: they help monitor your mana but for now let's focus on the subject of the formula.
Martha: we're listening.
Milly: in order to train you in deep mana we're gonna..... Gossip!
Martha: what?
Kali: I think she said gossip.
Milly: yes gossip.
Rachel: I don't get it.
Milly: it's simple. Do you see those balls I gave you? You must transfer your mana on the balls in only one specific frequency that you set yourself and once you set that frequency, you must stick to it no matter what, but if you don't you'll be punished.
Kali: what kind of punishment is it?
Milly: a painful one, but anyways start transferring that mana.
The girls concentrated on the balls and transferred their mana on them and then focused on Milly again.
The training this time was that the girls should transfer their mana to the balls while listening to Milly talk and must pay attention to everything she said, this helps them know how to make their aura flow while they are not even concentrated, in other words they must know how to use mana like when they are using their limbs.
Milly: did you know that my husband screams "victory" after action in bed?
Rachel: really?!
Rachel's excitement caused her demise when she suddenly overcharged the ball due to the news and the ball exploded on her hands, and she screamed in pain. Even though she was in pain, her arm wasn't damaged.
Milly: ah yes, if you stray from your original frequency, the balls will explode and if you do not concentrate on me, then I'll hit you with a mana projectile. (smiling)
The girls: (she's scary!)
Milly: now here's another ball. I have infinite number of them, so you can't sit this one out... And oh I forgot to mention that the more you fail, the more your mana becomes unstable due to the enchantment I added to the balls. So try your best not to keep failing. Ok (smiling)
Rachel: (man that hurt! But I must concentrate, I cannot allow her to distract me...)
Milly: oh and there's no time limit until I said stop!
The girls: (on she's really scary)
Milly: as you all saw! You will get punished hard if you flunk soo... Anyways how about some more gossip?
The girls: (bring it on!)
The hardest challenge you can give a girl is making them not react to gossip when it's been placed on them for free. This might be surprising but for Kali who grew up as a warrior, it was easy but for Martha and Rachel... It was the most difficult battle they ever faced.
The gossip continued and Kali haven't lost even once, but Martha and Rachel were having a hard time since they lost about 8 times now and their mana was in total chaos due to the effects of the mana balls.
Rachel couldn't hold her own anymore and Martha was loosing it more than her since her hands wouldn't stop emitting mana randomly and the more she failed, the more the mana in her hands got even more blue, but no one noticed.
Milly: Kali passed! Kali you can go and rest over there at the flower field.
Kali: that was easy! I can't believe I passed!
Milly: it looks like you always had discipline with you and because of that you made my job easier.
Kali: whatever I'm gonna laze around over there. (she went to the flower field)
Rachel: i wish I was her... Martha are you okay?
Martha: (panting) I don't know... I feel strange... My senses are hyped for some reason...
Rachel: uhh miss Milly, is that suppose to happen?
Rachel was pointing at Martha who was overflowing with blue aura from her hands. Martha was panicking left and right and she was starting to glow.
Martha: What's happening to me! (panicked) please somebody stop it!!! Ugh!!!
Milly: shit! We gotta do something! Rachel assist me!.... Rachel?!
Rachel: (frozen in one place) don't... Tell me... It's the berserk state?
Milly: shit! [sealing chains LV10]
Milly activated sealing chains to try and hold Martha who was losing control in one place, but the chains were deflected by her aura. Kali followed through and tried to reach Martha using [super speed] but when she got close, she was stopped by blue tentacles... Yes tentacles coming from Martha's hands. The tentacles had a lot of mana inside them and they quickly blew Kali away... Martha was no more atleast for the moment as she was now unconscious and a whole knew person was controlling her body and emitting a large quantity of mana through the tentacles.
Rachel recovered from her shock and looked at Martha who was now at the air, supported by the huge blue tentacles which were growing bigger.
Rachel: no... This is way different from Alex's berserk mode.
Kali: I think you told me about that once, it's where Alex goes berserk and emitts infinite mana right? I think it's kinda the same.
Rachel: no it's not, Alex was more like angry unstable, but Martha here feels a bit more... Offensive and straight forward!
Milly: whatever it is we must defend ourselves cuz she's attacking!
Martha's tentacles which were growing in her arms went straight for the group in one powerful swing coming with large force. The girls managed to dodge the upcoming tentacle as it smashed the ground which they were standing on, but it didn't stop there as the other tentacles started getting active and released a huge wave of water as they combined together for a moment. Rachel tried to charge straight at the wave, then she used [light body] to make herself untouchable by turning her whole bieng into light... But that didn't help much when part of the wave turned into a tentacle and actually got a hold of her. Molly tried to free Rachel from the grip but she was flooded by the wave and Kali digged her hands into the ground to prevent herself from being flooded over. After the wave was over the tentacles reappeared and one was in hold of Rachel who was struggling a lot to break free. One tentacle got a hold of Rachel's left arm and started pulling it.
Rachel: Martha! Please stop!!!
Kali: Rachel! No! [super speed LV4]
Kali charged straight to the tentacle which was holding Rachel but she got knocked away by the swing of the other and now she was some distance away and Milly just recovered from bieng splashed away by the previous wave.
Rachel: no no stop! Kyaaahh!!!
Rachel screamed in pain and the tentacle didn't stop pulling her arm and after some few seconds Rachel's muscle tissues disconnected the bones and her skin tearing apart, Rachel's arm got ripped off by the tentacle right in front of Kali and Milly.
Rachel: ghaaaaaaaa!!!
Kali couldn't believe her eyes as she someone she holds dear screaming in pain after getting their arm disconnected from their body. Kali was frozen in place and felt overwhelming emotions mix up inside her.
Milly seeing this she quickly reacted and used [wind slash LV5] to cut the tentacle which was holding Rachel and then she quickly grabbed the falling unconscious Rachel mid air with [wind pull] and brought her to her arms.
Kali: is she okay? Is she gonna be alright?
Milly: yes, I'll try to heal her but...
Kali: I'll handle Martha you just focus on Rachel!
Milly: are you sure?
Kali: yes now hurry up!
Milly: okay I'll be back!
Milly ran off with Rachel to keep some distance so that she can take care of Rachel while Kali tries to defend against a sqiud Martha?.
After Milly was far enough, Kali and Martha hit it off with Kali using aura burst at the beginning of the fight which was understandable since Martha was currently way too strong for Kali to handle in normal state.
Kali tried to trap Martha by using [Rabbit trap LV7] but Martha just filled the hole with water at incredible speed and Kali was forced to leave the trap instead and while the Kali was mid-air after escapimg the hole, the tentacles went straight for her but she repelled them using [brawling technique LV7].
After repelling the tentacles she used the opening the tentacles left to go after Martha. The moment Kali reached Martha she apologized and used [rapid super punch LV5] on Martha, but Martha didn't even react and used one of her tentacles to smash Kali to the ground.
Kali:... Shit! I can't lose like this!
Martha swinged a tentacle to the now weak Kali. Just when the tentacle was about to hit, Kali felt a little change in her aura which made her reach out her hand to the up coming attack, just when the tentacle was about to reach Kali... The tentacle exploded right in front of Kali.
Martha showed a confused look on her face and went for another attack but three tentacles this time, but they exploded as well the moment they were about to reach Kali. Martha had a concerned look on her as if a threat to her life has suddenly appeared and now she was in full battle mode.
Martha unleashed a fury of attacks at Kali with all of her tentacles, but the couldn't even do anything to Kali and when Martha unleashed a wave attack, the water would split and not even go after Kali.
Kali: what is going on with me? It's like her water type attacks do not effect me at all!... No it's more like my mana is commanding her attacks to stop.
Milly who was done with Rachel and sent her outside the sub dimension answered the question for Kali.
Milly: more like water type attacks.
Kali: you're back?! How ab Rachel?!
Milly: don't worry she's fine. I sent her back to the mansion and I managed to regenerate her arm. For now she's asleep.
Kali: oh thank you so much! I don't know what I'll do if Rachel was badly hurt!... Well it's not like I was that worried or anything! (embarrassed)
Milly: but I saw you were worried sick... (huh? Girls like her exist? What do they call them again? Tsun...oh yeah a tsundere)
Kali: anyways we gotta figure out a way to bring back this girl to her senses.
Milly: well I think I might know how, but it's a gamble.
Kali: really?! How? And I hope you don't suggest killing her.
Milly: nope we're not killing anyone and it's quite simple really, since I prepared it when I was treating Rachel. All you have to do is drag it's attention and I'll strike it from behind.
Kali: got it! Then I'll strike first! [super speed LV3]
Kali went for the offensive and and cut down every tentacle that stood on her way making Martha concentrate on her.
Milly: (she may not have noticed this but now that Kali has mastered a bit of deep mana control, she can at least control anything that resonate with her element as long as it's weak enough and that's the reason she was able to make the water split and the water tentacles explode. It's almost amazing how fast she mastered it, I bet the others will be spectacular if they could do it too... But enough about that. I need to focus on unleashing the seal!)
While Kali was battling Martha, Milly focused her aura on a piece of paper she was holding that had multiple seals and runes on it. The paper glowed brighter and brighter as it slowly turned into a green shining stone.
Milly used [super speed] to get behind Martha and threw the stone to her back at an incredible speed. The moment the stone touched Martha's back she screamed in pain as her body was glowing green and after a few seconds seals started to appear on her back and the tentacles faded away. Kali quickly caught Martha in the air who lost consciousness.
The field was a mess and Kali was super tired as well after the battle. Milly went to retrieve the stone which was now devoid of mana, she then opened the portal to go outside but Kali stopped her.
Kali: I think I deserve to know that... What the fuck was that? And how did you know to stop it cuz that wasn't an ordinary seal was it?
Milly: so you know about seals? I guess you really are a village girl, well unlike normal seals that was a great beast seal.
Kali: great beast seal?! As in those calamity level monsters from the children stories to make kids clear from monsters?
Milly: yes those and they're pretty much real.
Kali: you're kidding right?
Milly: I'm not and this woman Martha... I don't know how or when and how didn't I noticed this until now but... She has one inside of her.
Kali:...?!!!!
