Loreen's POV
Loreen stood still for a moment after Sairis disappeared down the hallway. He watched the empty space where he had been, his face calm, but his thoughts far from it.
Only when he was sure Sairis was out of sight did he turn fully to Edgar. His gaze settled on him now, sharper than before.
He did not know how he had missed it all these years, but after seeing the look Edgar had given Sairis just seconds before he had interrupted them, Loreen was now certain he was not the only man in the palace who preferred men.
He knew that look. It was not unfamiliar to him. Edgar had looked at Sairis like he wanted him badly. Like he wanted nothing more than to pull Sairis close, press him against the nearest wall, and kiss him until his lips were swollen,
Loreen exhaled slowly, his eyes narrowing just a little as he studied Edgar.
"So," he said, his voice calm, almost too calm. "You met Sairis at the Taal estate."
