Jay-Jay's POV
My alarm started ringing at exactly 5:30 AM.
I groaned softly before turning it off and hiding my face back into the pillow again.
Honestly…
Waking up early should be illegal.
After another minute of suffering, I finally forced myself out of bed and walked toward the bathroom slowly.
The cold floor immediately made me regret every life decision.
I tied my hair into a messy bun before looking at myself in the mirror.
Sleepy eyes.
Messy hair.
Zero motivation.
Perfect.
I washed my face before starting my skincare routine quietly.
Cleanser.
Toner.
Serum.
Moisturizer.
Lip balm.
Simple.
Honestly, mornings like this were my favorite.
No loud voices.
No chaos.
No Section E boys acting insane.
Just silence.
After finishing, I changed into my uniform and sat in front of my vanity fixing my hair while soft music played quietly from my phone.
Everything felt peaceful.
Until Aries knocked on my door.
"Jay-Jay."
"What?"
"We're leaving in fifteen minutes."
"Okay."
I grabbed my bag before finally going downstairs.
Aries was already waiting near the door while checking his phone.
A few minutes later, we stopped in front of Ella's house to pick her up.
When Ella entered the car, she smiled sleepily. "Morning."
"Morning."
The drive to school stayed quiet after that.
Soft music playing.
Ella scrolling through her phone.
Me staring outside the window half asleep.
Honestly…
It felt nice.
But the moment we reached HVIS, reality returned immediately.
Students everywhere.
Teachers walking through hallways.
People rushing before the bell rang.
Normal school morning.
I walked toward Section E quietly without paying attention to anyone.
But the second I entered the classroom—
Something felt weird.
Too quiet.
Cin looking down at his phone.
Felix pretending to read.
Drew trying not to smile.
Eman unusually silent.
Suspicious.
Very suspicious.
I narrowed my eyes slightly.
"What?"
"Nothing," Cin answered way too quickly.
Definitely suspicious.
But honestly?
I was too sleepy to care.
I walked toward my seat and sat down calmly without looking anywhere else.
The classroom stayed strangely quiet after that.
Like everybody was waiting for something.
A few minutes later, sir entered the room holding the attendance folder.
"Good morning, class."
"Good morning, sir."
Sir adjusted his glasses before starting attendance.
"Mariano."
"Present."
"Hanamitchi."
"Present."
"Braselton."
"Present, sir."
"Andrada."
"Present."
"Rivera."
"Present."
"Collins."
"Here."
"Castillo."
"Present, sir."
"Harrington."
"Present."
"Ramos."
"Present."
"Abejar."
"Present."
"Penaflor."
"Present, sir."
"De Luna."
"Present."
"Venites."
"Present."
"Mercado."
"Present, sir."
"Madrigal."
"Present."
"Peralta."
"Present, sir."
Then finally—
"Watson."
"Present."
My hand stopped moving instantly.
That voice.
Slowly…
I turned my head toward the back for the first time that morning.
And froze.
Keifer Watson was sitting there casually in his uniform with a black leather jacket over it.
One arm resting against the chair.
Dark messy hair.
Cold expression.
But unlike the others—
I wasn't happy.
Not even a little bit.
My jaw tightened immediately.
Seriously?
He came back already?
Nobody even told me.
The boys immediately started reacting quietly.
"Bro she finally saw him."
"She looks mad."
"Deadly mad."
And honestly?
They were right.
Because instead of feeling happy seeing him again…
I only felt annoyed.
Annoyed that he came back suddenly.
Annoyed that everybody hid it from me.
Annoyed that he was sitting behind me like nothing happened.
Keifer kept staring at me calmly.
Meanwhile I looked away instantly and faced forward again with an irritated expression.
Absolutely not.
I refused to care that he was back.
