Chapter 19: She Is Mine
Keifer's POV
2:24 AM.
That was the exact time showing on the clock inside my office.
The city lights outside the glass windows were still bright, but honestly?
I was exhausted.
Completely exhausted.
Files everywhere.
Business meetings the whole day.
Phone calls nonstop.
I rubbed my eyes tiredly before finally standing up from my chair.
"Finally…" I muttered under my breath.
All I wanted was sleep.
Just sleep.
I grabbed my coat and car keys, ready to leave the office—
But suddenly—
My phone started ringing loudly.
I frowned slightly before looking at the screen.
Edrix & Rory
At this hour?
Something was definitely wrong.
I answered immediately.
"Yo bro, what's up?"
Edrix spoke first.
"Fine… but we need to tell you something."
Suddenly my tiredness disappeared.
"What happened?"
This time Rory spoke.
"Today during lunch break, Josh came running to us and said Jay-Jay's ex-boyfriend Cyrus showed up."
My expression darkened instantly.
"The one we beat before," Edrix added.
"He created drama in school," Rory continued. "Good thing Yuri was there. He protected Jay-Jay."
For two seconds—
I said nothing.
Then suddenly I snapped.
"WHAT?!"
I stood up so fast my chair moved backward loudly.
"NO. No way."
My jaw tightened immediately.
"That guy again?"
I ran a hand through my hair angrily.
"I told her not to go near him."
"She didn't," Edrix said quickly. "Cyrus was the one who came."
But honestly?
I wasn't even listening properly anymore.
Because the only thing repeating inside my head was:
Cyrus came near her again.
Mine.
Jay-Jay was mine.
My girl.
My wife.
My future Mrs. Watson.
My freaking universe.
And Cyrus thought he could just appear again after everything?
No.
Absolutely not.
"I already finished all my work," I said immediately while grabbing my suitcase from beside my desk. "I'm coming back right now."
"Good," Rory replied. "Hurry up, dude."
"We'll wait for you here," Edrix added.
"Yeah."
The call ended.
I stared at my phone for a few seconds before clenching my jaw again.
"How can this even happen…" I muttered angrily.
I warned her about Cyrus before.
But Jay-Jay was stubborn.
Too stubborn.
A frustrated sigh escaped my lips before I started packing quickly.
Clothes.
Laptop.
Documents.
Everything happened fast because honestly?
My mind was already back in the Philippines.
Back to her.
One hour later, I was already inside my private jet.
The workers closed the door while I sat down silently near the window.
The engine started.
And slowly…
The jet began taking off.
I leaned my head back against the seat while staring outside quietly.
The city lights slowly disappeared beneath the clouds.
But my thoughts stayed on one person only.
Jay-Jay.
"Wait for me," I whispered softly.
"Because I'm coming back."
And this time?
I wasn't letting anyone near her again.
