THE NEXT DAY, ANNOUNCEMENT HALL
The hall wasn't just full, it was watching itself be watched. Crystal screens lined the walls, broadcasting outward, cities, noble houses, guild halls, and even roadside taverns. The entire kingdom tuned in, because this wasn't just results anymore. This was status, this was power, and this was who mattered next. I stood where they told us to stand. Front row, a D-rank. It still sounded wrong.
"I CAN FEEL THE NATION JUDGING ME-"Riko was vibrating.
"The nation does not know you exist." Ben said calmly.
"THEY WILL-"Riko grinned.
"They won't." Ben added.
Leo stretched beside us like he had arrived for a nap.
"I hope they appreciate my contribution."Leo said.
"You slept." Ben said.
"I slept with intention."Leo grinned lightly.
Adam stood next to me, closer than before. Not touching, but close enough that Aiden noticed immediately.
"He is doing it again."Aiden noticed.
"I know."I muttered.
"He is claiming space."He teased.
"I know."I nodded.
