After using the Apex Network to verify the beast information, Calux quickly got into a leadership position when he saw the wolves engaging.
"Seraphiel, make two of your constructs attack one of the wolves, you attack the other, while I attack the third, I'll handle my side quickly and help you with yours if you need help, and then finally, help your constructs if needed as well."
Seraphiel understood his train of thought instantly.
She was a rank below these C rank beasts, therefore the best way was to make the constructs attack one, she who had more mobility attack the other, deal as much damage as possible before Calux finished his beast, and then continue on, since they didn't know how strong the hide of these beasts was yet.
Calux void stepped in front of the wolf coming for him, and quickly slashed vertically.
Awoooooooo.
The wolf howled in pain, blood oozing from its neck upwards to its mouth.
It stepped back a few feet, understanding that this human in front of it was definitely strong.
The beast pushed with its hind legs, gaining momentum towards Calux and large red paws with miasma were going to hit Calux, but it was quickly parried with his sword.
After parrying, Calux looked over to Seraphiel, and was pleasantly surprised that she was handling it well, the constructs too.
Seraphiel herself hand't sustained any damage, unfortunately the hide of these beasts was strong and the cuts she had manage to make in the wolf were all superficial, if it wasn't for his Void Edge, which was currently a rank B weapon, he would be having a harder time without using skills to hurt these beasts.
Why aren't they using skills yet?
Well this was their first fight, it was unknown how many other beasts lay ahead, plus there was an elite boss waiting for them in the boss's lair, therefore it was better for them to conserve as much mana as possible considering it was only them two inside of this rift.
Calux focused once more on his fight, side stepped another paw strike that the wolf sent towards his face, and cut off its paw with the sword.

Howling of pain was heard in the surroundings, the other two wolves looked towards their companion and saw it had lost a paw.
There were enraged and started attacking more fiercely than before.
"Okay, it's time to end this, they got bloodthirsty because of me, and I have a bad feeling about those howls."
He void stepped to the wolf's side, and with a definitive strike, he swung down and cut the wolf through the middle.
All of this happened in just a milli seconds, and when Seraphiel looked towards Calux and saw he had split the wolf in half like it was tofu without using any skills, her eyes flashed with admiration.
I need to keep improving my sword skills, my skills are currently based on support, therefore I can't rely on him for everything.
She used the momentum to change her sword into a spear using her absolute creation skill, and dashed towards the wolf that was momentarily distracted by the death of its companion.
A gash appeared on the neck of the wolf and blood started pouring out but the beast wasn't dead yet.
Suddenly, Calux appeared just below the neck of the beast and thrust his sword through its neck towards the head.
Dead...
She looked at the precision of his skill and how useful his void step was, he could instantly teleport in a radius of 1km, which honestly was insane.
At only C rank, he could void step anywhere in a one kilometer radius, it was crazy yes, and worst of all the skill scaled with rank.
The downside was that he couldn't use it to travel with someone else.
She looked at Calux who was covered in the blood of the wolf that poured down from the wound, he looked like a warrior that bathed in the blood of his enemies, and for some reason.
Damn he looks hot.
Yes women are strange creatures that way, he was covered in beast blood but to her he looked like a magnificent warrior that bathed on the blood of his enemies.
Calux however was internally screaming.
Fuck! I'm covered on this nasty beast blood now, damn it! I brought spare clothes but this is still the start dammit.
Seraphiel and Calux looked at each other and nodded and then looked towards the fight between the constructs and the wolf.
At this point, the wolf had received a lot of damage, it was two D rank humanoid constructs with D rank weapons controlled by Seraphiel, therefore they were definitely not useless.
"Hey Seraphiel, I have a bad feeling about the earlier howls, how about we finish this quickly just incase the earlier howl was a call for help."
Seraphiel looked at Calux with eyes wide in horror.
"How didn't I think about that before! My mind was completely occupied with battle and I completely ignored our surroundings!"
Calux chuckled.
"It's fine, you may have the ability to separate your mind into five, but the battle instinct to think about this kind of stuff still needs to be trained."
"Mom trained me since I was a child, you've only been training for two months and trust me."
He said pointing to the two constructs that were almost finishing the job.
"You've done splendid in training with mom."
Seraphiel somehow felt warm at his praise.
It was different from the praise she received from her mother or people that surrounded her all her life, it was full of praise but empty of hidden meaning.
She focused on the constructs to finish the job, and while one of the constructs pushed its spear to the lower half of the neck and the beast howled in pain, the second construct side stepped and pushed its sword into the beasts head.
"Finally done..."
Seraphiel sighed.
However just as she said that.
Multiple howls could be heard in the distance coming towards them.
"Fuck, I just had to jynx it huh."
"Ha ha ha ha."
Calux laughed honestly, he even shed a tear with her honesty.
"It's fine, even if ten of them come, I'll just use my skills more."
Getting into battle stances, another extract construct with a crossbow was made, this one stood on the back to provide support while the two who were there before were fixed by Seraphiel and stood in front of them as the vanguard.
"Well, this is going to be fun..."
Ten wolves stood in front of them with blood a thirsty aura, and one of them stood at the back a bit bigger than the rest.
