Li opened his eyes, he turned to the side. He saw a mess made, dirty plates lingered on the bed and so did the empty bottle of water he had. He tried to get up but he was too exhausted, he felt like he got drained. He pushed the plate and tray aside. He sat up, everything felt weak.
He tried to think but noticed a brain fog. He tried to talk but he noticed his exhaustion, he tried to walk but he could barely move his muscles. He knew someone did something to him. It's either he got raped by Zhao or someone else made him drunk. Perhaps the food got laced with a hard drug or maybe the hotel and the party made it hard for him to concentrate.
However, all he could think of, was a stable semi hangover. He finally had the courage to walk of the room when he received a call from Su about the lady already waiting for him at the office and that text got delivered fours hours ago. He stared at the phone screen, surprised.
An overwhelming strength moved through his veins. He jumped straight into the bathroom. He quickly took a shower and brushed his teeth, he walked out of the house wearing a black suit and this time he made sure he had the official aura all over him.
He noticed Lin standing by the door addressing a lady about something he couldn't hear from his distance. He tried to peep in but the lady turned to him and that caught the attention of Lin. "Good morning sir." Lin greeted.
"Good morning. Is this Jane?" He asked while staring at Jane.
"Yes sir. This is Jane Zhang. The neighbour I told you about. She's ready for the interview."
"Of course." His eyes scanned her calmly. "Come with me."
"Yes sir." Jane said.
She followed him into the office. He saw the other two already seated and waiting for his command. "Jane sit for a moment. I'll be right back." He walked out of the office, he called Zhao.
"Good morning sir. I just arrived at the office and now, I need to get your orders?" Li said.
"Excuse me? Whoever you are, make sure you get across to Li and give him the damn phone. Who the hell is this? What?" Zhao asked.
"Mr Zhao? This is Li."
"Why would you be Li? Convince me. I'm listening."
"I'm trying to be official Mr Zhao Ming. Don't you get it? Are you dumb? What's wrong this time?"
"And that is Li Wei everybody, Okay. Welcome back Li. I guess it's time for a new presentation. For the tasks today, you'll be needing a few notes and a few hours for the presentation and meetings. Now the issue with this system is, you'll need to think of a company that you can start and raise from the money you have." Zhao explained.
Li replied, "You mean I should own a company against my will? Or maybe start up a new business for the Jade industries?"
"Well not exactly that. You'll have to start up a new company from scratch and make sure you use a proper approach for it and then you'll create a new form of marketing for it, causing you to be a new director or founder under the Jade industries. I would suggest revenue based startup. The more businesses you achieve, the better for you." Zhao said.
"I think I need a break because what exactly do you think I'll be able to do? Hair? Nails? Food? Perfume? What exactly?" Li asked.
"I think you already have a few clues on what to do. I'll need your report back before 4pm. Thank you for your cooperation." Zhao hung up.
Li stood there surprised at the new statement. He walked into his office. He sat on his chair. "Jane I need your documents and I'll need to ask you a few questions. Shen? Shut the door, lock it even." She did.
"Now from what I've seen. We'll need to brainstorm and bring out new ideas for a new company startup. I'll need your ideas under an hour." He turned to Jane. "Jane your documents."
Jabe streched her documents to him. He read through the papers and knew she was fit for the job but then he asked a new question just to make her feel uncomfortable. "Do you have someone else available to take your place?"
Her face got gloomy. "No sir. I'm capable."
"Well I'm saying that you are but then I'll need three new persons here to assist. A digital marketer, a photographer or media personnel and a researcher and project manager. Maybe a chef or a few chefs. I guess seven in number." Li said.
"Okay sir. I'll try my best to find them and I'll give you my feedback."
"Good. From what I can see here, you are hired. Lin? Give her the entire feedback on how the daily salaries were paid. I'll be checking for new ideas for a while and i expect your ideas too." Li commanded.
"Yes sir." Lin replied.
Jane Zhang asked, "Sir? I've got a question?"
"Ask."
"I wanted to ask if we could start up a beauty brand?"
"Okay that's the first idea. A beauty brand. What else?"
"A hair product brand?"
"Yes that flows with the beauty brand. What else?"
"A coffee brand?"
He stayed calm for a while thinking of what she just said. "Truly it works. And?"
"Well that's all I know for now." Jane concluded.
"Really? Okay then. I'll set up our building company the moment we get the ideas and proper social media presence." He turned to the rest, "And your ideas?"
Shen Hao asked, "Sir? Me."
"Go on." Li's voice turned softer.
"A boring business and a food business would bring us profits."
"Boring like?"
"Maybe steel and coal."
"Of course. That's good. Lin and Su? I expect your responses."
Su answered, "Sir? A jewelry brand or a clothing brand."
Li liked it, "Good. Lin? Your ideas?"
Lin stared at him for a while. "Sir they've said it all."
"Give me answers Lin." Li said.
Lin sat there thinking hard and then she said, "A restaurant. A kitchen. A famous restaurant with new recipes and chefs. New designs and a new style with a touch of culture or maybe a club to generate faster income."
He stared at her for a while. He knew he needed both day and night work flow. "The club sounds good."
"And the kitchen?"
"Same."
"Lin write down all the ideas and type them to print. I'll need soft and hard copies to present during the board meetings."
"Yes sir."
