Kim woke up with a violent jolt.
His chest rose and fell rapidly, his throat felt dry, and a thin layer of sweat glistened across his forehead.
"Again…? The same dream?"
He placed both hands over his head, trying to steady his breath.
It felt like someone had squeezed his heart with icy fingers.
The dream was the same as every time—
A foggy path…
A faint voice drifting in the air…
A cracking sound, as if something precious was breaking…
And then a whisper:
"Kim… don't let it happen again."
Kim shut his eyes tightly.
"Again? Don't let what happen? And who are you…?"
The questions dissolved into the silence of his luxurious room.
The expensive fragrance, the enormous bed, the soft glow of modern ceiling lights—
everything felt normal.
But his heart didn't.
Inside his chest, a strange fear still pulsed like an echo.
2 — Mansion Mornings, But a Storm Inside
As Kim walked downstairs, the servants instantly aligned themselves into two perfect rows.
"Good morning, Young Master Kim!"
Their voices synchronized flawlessly.
Kim only nodded slightly.
His dream still haunted him.
The dining table looked like a five-star breakfast display—fresh toast, omelets, colorful fruits, juice, cereals… everything perfect.
But Kim's eyes remained stuck on his empty plate.
"Why… the same dream again?"
He picked up the glass of water and took a slow sip.
The servants watched him quietly, their posture straight, movements perfectly controlled.
Kim had been raised among luxury his entire life…
But the storm in his mind felt far from luxurious.
3 — The Ride to School, Quiet Streets & Loud Thoughts
The driver opened the car door respectfully.
"Young Master, to school?"
Kim simply hummed in response.
The car glided smoothly across the city streets, but even the comfort of the ride couldn't calm him.
He stared out of the window.
Kids laughing, people hurrying, traffic sounds mixing with the wind…
Everyday life was moving normally.
But Kim felt like his life was drifting away from normal.
"If this dream is a warning… then for what? Mira? Someone else? Or… me?"
He shook his head.
"Come on, Kim. You're going to school. Your romantic life should start… not a horror movie."
Fate, however, seemed in the mood for mischief.
4 — Mira's Smile and Kim's Confused Heart
The moment he stepped into Seoul High—
"Yo, Kim!"
Jisoo slapped him with a high-five.
"Dude, you're early today?" Taehyun added.
Kim didn't smile.
He only nodded lightly.
Then, from the end of the hallway—
Mira.
Books pressed to her chest, hair falling lightly over her shoulders, eyes soft and serene.
Kim's steps froze.
He may never have confessed his feelings…
But his heart had chosen her long ago.
Mira noticed him.
A shy, gentle smile curved her lips.
Kim felt butterflies doing breakdance inside his stomach.
"Dude, stop staring," Jisoo whispered.
Kim immediately composed himself.
5 — New Desks, New Vibes in Class 11B
When Kim walked into Class 11B, Mira walked right up to him.
"Good morning, Kim."
Her voice was soft—warm enough to melt away half of his anxiety.
"Good… morning," he replied.
The teacher had recently changed the seating arrangement.
Now Mira was assigned to sit right beside Kim.
"Hope you don't mind," Mira said.
Kim shook his head quickly.
"N–No. It's fine."
Mira laughed softly.
Behind them, Jisoo whispered loudly:
"Romance alert. I'm taking notes."
Kim glared at him.
But as Mira took out her book, her hand gently brushed against Kim's wrist.
And instantly—
FLASH!
Kim saw the dream again.
The same touch.
The same sensation.
The same chilling déjà vu.
He pulled his hand away.
Mira looked worried.
"Are you okay?"
Kim forced himself to breathe.
"Just… a little headache."
But inside, questions were exploding.
Why did her touch feel like the dream?
6 — Lunchtime Hints & Hidden Signals
The cafeteria buzzed with noise and energy.
Kim sat with his friends, but his mind wandered.
Then—
"Um… can I sit here?"
It was Mira.
Taehyun almost fell off his chair.
Hana giggled teasingly.
"Of course! Sit next to Kim."
Kim tried to kick Hana under the table, but it was too late.
Mira sat beside him.
Everything felt so comfortable…
So warm…
So strangely familiar.
But then—
CRACK!
A tray crashed loudly behind them.
Kim clutched his head instantly.
That sound—
That exact sound—
It was the same as the dream.
His expression went pale.
Mira leaned closer.
"Kim… you're literally trembling."
Kim whispered,
"That sound… it's the same from my dream."
Mira's expression suddenly shifted—
As if she understood something.
As if she already knew something.
Kim noticed it…
and confusion tightened inside him.
7 — End of School… and the Real Twist Begins
Evening settled in.
Hallways emptied, lockers stood silent.
Kim was putting away his books when Mira approached again.
"Look… I know something's wrong," she said softly.
"You can share it with me."
Kim sighed.
"It was a nightmare…"
Before Mira could respond—
Someone appeared at the end of the hallway.
A girl.
With long black hair, deep eyes, and an expression colder than winter rain.
She walked as if she belonged nowhere yet knew everything.
"Excuse me," she said calmly.
"Is this Class 11B?"
Kim nodded.
But then—
The girl's eyes met his.
Not just observing.
Recognizing.
She took one step toward him.
"Kim… finally."
Kim's breath hitched.
Mira froze.
Every student nearby stared.
Kim stuttered,
"D–Do you know me?"
A mysterious smile touched the girl's lips.
"You promised you would save me…
And I've come back to make sure you keep that promise."
Kim's blood ran cold.
She had spoken the exact same line from his dream.
"W–Was that dream… real?"
The girl shook her head slowly.
"Not a dream.
A warning."
Mira stepped forward sharply.
"Kim, don't listen to her—"
The strange girl looked straight at Mira.
"You can hide the truth all you want…
But Kim will remember everything soon."
Kim staggered back.
"What promise?
What truth?
Who are you?!"
The girl came closer, her voice soft but heavy—
"I am the one you forgot.
But your past will not let you forget anymore."
Kim's back hit the locker wall.
His heartbeat thudded painfully.
"Time is running out, Kim."
Kim swallowed.
"T–Time for what?"
The girl's eyes darkened with sadness.
"The biggest truth of your life…
is returning."
Before Kim could speak—
The hallway lights flickered.
Darkness swallowed the corridor for a brief second.
And when the lights steadied—
The girl was gone.
As if she had never been there.
"KIM!" Mira grabbed his arm.
"Are you okay?!"
Kim leaned against the wall, shaking.
Only one thought echoed inside him—
"Was my dream… actually my memory?"
