A Night That Refused To End
Kim lay on his bed, eyes wide open, staring at the glowing patterns on the ceiling.
He had been awake for hours.
Sleep?
Impossible.
The mysterious girl's voice kept replaying in his mind:
"I'm the one you forgot… and your past won't let you forget me."
Every time he closed his eyes, her voice echoed.
Every time he inhaled, that chilly feeling returned.
"Why does she know my name…? Why does she know about the dream?"
Kim sat up and rubbed his face.
His room was completely quiet—
no servants, no footsteps, no morning alarms.
Just him…
and a storm he couldn't understand.
The clock showed 3:27 AM.
He stood up and walked to the mirror.
His reflection looked tired, confused, restless.
"Who are you…?"
He whispered to himself.
He wasn't even talking to the girl anymore.
He was talking to himself.
Because for the first time, Kim felt like he didn't know who he was supposed to be.
2 — Morning at the Mansion Feels Different
By the time sunlight entered his room, Kim was still awake.
He changed clothes and walked downstairs.
The servants bowed in two perfect rows.
"Good morning, Young Master Kim!"
Kim nodded, but something felt off today.
The mansion didn't feel like home.
It felt like a giant, empty shell.
He sat at the dining table.
A luxurious breakfast was waiting—
but he wasn't hungry.
His spoon clinked softly against the plate.
Clink.
He flinched.
Every small sound reminded him of the cracking sound from his dream.
That sound had become a curse.
"Why does everything connect to that dream…?"
His hand shook lightly.
A servant approached quietly.
"Young Master, should I call a doctor?"
Kim shook his head.
"I'm fine. Just… tired."
But he wasn't tired.
He was drained.
3 — The Ride to School
The car moved smoothly through the streets of Seoul.
Kim stared outside—
people laughing, talking, living.
Their world looked normal.
His world didn't.
"Why did she disappear like that?"
"What was Mira trying to stop her from saying?"
"And what promise did I make…?"
His fingers clenched into a fist.
His life was supposed to be simple—
wake up, go to school, maybe fall in love.
But now…
Romance?
Dreams?
Mystery?
Fear?
Everything collided.
4 — Mira Notices Everything
As soon as he walked into Seoul High, the atmosphere felt different.
Students were talking, lockers slamming, normal stuff—
but Kim felt eyes on him.
"Kim!"
Mira came running from the end of the hallway.
Her breath was slightly uneven—
as if she had been looking for him since morning.
"You didn't message," she said softly.
"You look… exhausted."
Kim forced a small smile.
"Didn't sleep well."
Mira stepped a little closer.
"Is it because of last evening?"
Kim's heartbeat quickened.
He didn't want to lie.
But he couldn't tell the truth either.
"Mira… who was she?"
Mira froze.
Her lips parted, but no words came out.
Kim asked again, voice lower this time:
"You know her, don't you?"
Mira swallowed hard.
"Kim… I think we should talk about this later."
Kim frowned.
"Why later?"
"Because it's not safe here," she whispered.
The way she said it—
quiet, scared, protective—
made his stomach twist.
Not safe?
In school?
Why?
5 — The Day Feels Wrong
Classes went on.
Teachers spoke.
Students joked.
Notebooks flipped.
But Kim felt disconnected from everything.
Every time Mira looked at him, her eyes carried fear.
Not fear of him…
but fear for him.
At lunch, his friends walked to the cafeteria—
but Mira grabbed his sleeve.
"Come with me," she said.
She led him to the terrace.
It was empty, quiet, away from everyone.
"Kim… you have to listen carefully."
Kim nodded.
Mira hesitated, took a deep breath, and said:
"That girl… she isn't new.
She wasn't lost.
She didn't come here by mistake."
Kim stared at her.
"What do you mean?"
Mira's voice trembled.
"She was looking for you.
Only you."
Kim's heart thudded violently.
"But why?"
Mira closed her eyes.
"Because she is connected to your past.
A past you don't remember."
Kim stepped back.
"What past? Mira, I don't understand anything!"
Mira grabbed his hand.
"Kim… please trust me.
I'll explain.
Just give me time."
Her touch was warm—
the only warm thing in his cold, confusing day.
Kim looked at her and nodded slightly.
"Okay… I'll wait."
But inside?
He wasn't okay.
6 — After School… the Real Twist Begins
School ended.
Students left quickly.
Kim slowly walked toward the gate, Mira by his side.
The sky was turning orange.
Everything felt quiet…
too quiet.
Suddenly—
Kim stopped walking.
His chest tightened.
Mira turned.
"Kim? What happened?"
Kim wasn't looking at her.
He was staring at the mansion car parked near the gate.
Or rather…
the girl standing beside it.
Black hair.
Cold eyes.
The same mysterious expression.
She was back.
Mira whispered, terrified:
"No… why is she here…?"
Kim's heartbeat hammered loudly.
The girl smiled faintly.
"You didn't sleep last night, did you?"
Kim froze.
How did she know?
She walked closer—
slow steps, confident, knowing.
Mira grabbed Kim's arm sharply.
"Stay behind me!"
But the girl stopped just a few feet away.
Her eyes locked with Kim's.
"Kim… the reason you can't sleep…"
she whispered…
"…is because your past is waking up."
Kim swallowed.
"My… past?"
The girl nodded.
Then she leaned closer and said the line that broke everything:
**"Your memories will return tonight.
Whether you want them or not."**
Kim stepped back, visibly shaken.
Mira panicked.
"No! You can't force him—"
The girl ignored her.
She raised her hand.
And right in front of both of them…
A faint glowing mark appeared on Kim's wrist.
Kim gasped.
The mark flickered—
like a symbol
trying to come back to life.
"What… what is this?!"
The girl whispered:
"The first sign."
Kim shouted,
"First sign of WHAT?!"
The girl's eyes softened with a sadness that didn't belong to a stranger.
"The promise you made to me…
is waking up."
Before Kim could ask anything—
before Mira could pull him away—
A gust of wind blew across the road.
Kim blinked.
And the girl—
vanished again.
Right in front of them.
Leaving behind only silence…
and the faint glow on Kim's wrist.
Kim's voice trembled:
"W-What is happening to me?"
Mira whispered, voice breaking:
"Kim…
your real story is starting."
Chaoter 6 end.
