Kim's life gets even stranger as the mysterious girl's appearance begins connecting his dreams, his past, and Mira's hidden fear. The truth starts opening up… but not in a way he expected

Chapter start

Kim stood frozen in the hallway long after the mysterious girl vanished.

Lights flickered again and settled.

Students around him whispered, confused and scared.

Mira grabbed his arm gently.

"Kim… look at me. Are you okay?"

Kim's voice was low, shaky.

"She said… it wasn't a dream. It was a warning."

Mira swallowed hard.

"Kim, you shouldn't trust her."

Kim looked straight into Mira's eyes.

"Do you know her?"

Mira hesitated — just for a second — but Kim noticed.

"Mira… why did you pause?"

She stepped back, flustered.

"I didn't pause. I just… I don't know her, okay?"

Her answer wasn't convincing.

Not even close.

1 — The Walk Home, Full of Shadows

Evening winds hit a little colder than usual.

Kim walked out of school, headphones on but no music playing.

His mind replayed the same moment:

"Kim… finally."

"You made a promise."

"Time is running out."

"Promise? Past? Why would I make a promise to someone I don't even know?"

He reached home.

The giant steel gates opened automatically.

Servants lined up.

"Welcome home, Young Master."

Kim nodded, but today he didn't feel like the rich kid of a giant mansion.

He felt like someone standing on the edge of a cliff — waiting to fall.

Inside his room, he threw his bag and sank into the chair.

"Why does Mira look scared of that girl…?

And why does that girl look like she knows everything about me?"

He closed his eyes for a moment.

2 — Flashback Fragments

Suddenly—

Cracking sound.

Smoke.

A hand slipping away from his grip.

A voice crying:

"Kim… save me—"

Kim opened his eyes, sweating.

"That again…"

The dream was turning into memory…

But whose memory?

3 — Dinner Table Tension

At dinner, his father wasn't home—as usual.

Just silence, a giant table, and food he didn't feel like eating.

A female servant approached respectfully.

"Young Master, is everything all right? You seem disturbed today."

Kim forced a smile.

"Just school stress."

She bowed and stepped back.

But Kim kept thinking—

Why did that mysterious girl vanish like a shadow?

Humans don't disappear.

Then who… or what… was she?

4 — Night Walk in the Mansion Garden

Unable to sleep, Kim wandered into the garden.

The night air was colder now.

Trees stood still.

The moon reflected on the water fountain.

"Kim…"

A voice.

Kim spun around instantly.

But this time, it wasn't the mysterious girl.

It was Mira.

She walked slowly toward him, hugging her arms because of the cold.

"Mira? What are you doing here?"

She looked nervous.

"I… I needed to talk to you."

Kim stepped closer.

"What is it?"

She took a deep breath.

"Kim… whatever that girl said today… please don't believe her."

"Why?"

"Because she isn't supposed to exist."

Kim's eyes widened.

"What does that mean?"

Mira looked away.

"Kim… she disappeared right in front of us. That's not normal.

And the way she spoke to you… it's dangerous."

Kim shook his head.

"No. What's dangerous is that you know more than you're telling me."

Mira didn't answer.

Her silence said everything.

"Mira… tell me the truth.

Do you know who she is?"

Mira finally whispered—

"I know what she is.

But not who she is now."

Kim stepped back in shock.

"What… she is?

Is she not human?"

Mira looked straight into his eyes.

"Kim… you have a past you don't remember.

And she is part of that past.

A past that could destroy your present."

Wind blew harder.

Leaves rustled.

Kim's heartbeat raced.

"My past? What past?

I grew up here… in this mansion… in Seoul… my whole life."

Mira shook her head slowly.

"No, Kim.

You didn't."

Kim froze.

Everything stopped.

Even the wind.

"What did you just say?"

Mira looked terrified.

"You weren't born here, Kim.

You were brought here.

And the girl who appeared today…

she came from the place you left behind."

Kim felt the entire world tilt.

His stomach twisted.

His breath grew shallow.

"Mira… stop. That doesn't make sense."

"Kim… please calm down—"

"No! Tell me the truth!"

Mira took a tiny step back, scared.

"Kim… I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. Not yet."

"Mira!"

But she turned around and ran toward the gates.

"Mira! COME BACK!"

But she didn't stop.

Kim stood alone in the cold night.

Her words echoing in his mind:

"You weren't born here…

You were brought here."

And for the first time—

Kim felt like his entire childhood, his memories, his identity…

might be a lie.

5 — The Twist That Changes Everything

He returned to his room.

Closed the door.

And leaned against it, thinking hard.

"If Mira knows about my past…

and that girl knows even more…

then why does everyone expect me to remember something I never lived?"

Suddenly—

THUD!

A sound at the window.

Kim slowly approached.

The curtains moved.

A shadow stood outside.

A girl's silhouette.

The same shape.

The same height.

The same presence.

Kim swallowed.

"You…"

The window slid open by itself.

Cold wind rushed in.

And a soft voice whispered—

"Kim…

your real life is waiting.

And it begins… tonight."

Kim stepped back, eyes wide.

She stepped inside the room…

The mysterious girl.

This time fully visible under the moonlight.

Her eyes deep.

Her expression sad.

And her voice trembling.

"Kim…

do you want to know who you really are?"

Kim felt his entire world splitting open.

And then—

BLACKOUT.

Lights went off.

Total darkness.

Only her final whisper remained:

"Remember… before it's too late."

Chapter 5 end.

Chapter 6 coming soon.

What a twist, right?

Now three big mysteries stand in front of Kim:

1️⃣ If Mira knew the truth, why did she hide it?

2️⃣ Why did the mysterious girl call Kim back to his "real life"?

3️⃣ And what exactly happened in Kim's forgotten past?

Next chapter will reveal the first piece of Kim's lost memory.
