"Woah, you did make it worse," I laughed, grabbing Ethan's hand to run away. "She's most likely on her way over here now. We should probably get going now. You saw for yourself how scary that girl can be for yourself. Hurry up and run!"
We ran together, our footsteps echoing against the tile as we descended the stairs. I stumbled, my ankle twisting awkwardly, but Ethan caught me effortlessly, his arm locking around my waist. He didn't put me down; instead, he lifted me, carrying me the rest of the way down as if I weighed nothing.
When we got outside, he set me down, and we both tried to disappear into the crowd, leaving the school and giggling like crazy. The sound of Lia's voice echoed from the rooftop, vibrating through the air.
"MELODY GRACE!!! IM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!! AHHHHH!!!!" Her voice cracked with rage. "YOU ROTTON PIECE OF SHIT!!!"
"Woah, is that really Lia? That scream sounds like it came from a monster," Ethan said in awe, shivering visibly.
