"Yesterday, our decision at point A was too conservative. The enemy only had two people, yet it took us five minutes to push through."
Although it was a weekday morning, Leticia, being a societal dropout, stayed home discussing various aspects of the game with her teammates.
For example, right now, she was reviewing last night's Guild War.
"But the enemy had 'Lightning,' who is best at delaying time by fighting outnumbered. Furthermore, the troop situation on the other path wasn't clear at the time, so I think being conservative wasn't wrong." The commander of the A path from yesterday offered his opinion.
"Yeah, and then we almost collapsed," Leticia said helplessly. "If the enemy Healer hadn't mispositioned and gotten taken out by our combo, we probably would have been in danger yesterday."
"Indeed... If it weren't for you, Sister Qian, seizing the opportunity, the outcome of that match yesterday would have been hard to predict."
"Apple's style is just like that—cautious, unwilling to take risks." Another member who participated in the Guild War said, "That decision yesterday was already the most aggressive he gets."
"If you want aggressive commanders, we do have a few in the group, but they've only commanded teams from the lower branch guilds, so they probably can't adapt to the pace of Diamond Rank battles."
Once one person started talking, the other guild members also opened up and offered their opinions.
Their guild could be considered top-tier in the game, and almost all the members were veteran players.
"Speaking of which, where is the Guild Leader? I haven't seen her online these past few days." Leticia recalled the Guild Leader, who had a pleasant voice. "I still wanted her to gift me a Demon God Sword."
When that young lady pulled Leticia into the guild, she promised Leticia that if she ever wanted anything in the game, she just had to tell her, and she would cover it all.
And now, Leticia had set her eyes on the Demon God Sword that was recently put on sale. The price wasn't even expensive—just the cost of one gacha roll.
"The Guild Leader? After hearing the news that the Stellar Sword Saint resigned, she cried all day. She's probably still sulking right now," explained a member who knew the inside story. "Sister Qian, why don't you go comfort her?"
It was quite funny; there were only two girls in the guild Leticia joined: herself and the Guild Leader.
Everyone else was male, which sometimes meant Leticia, the newly recruited laborer, had to go and have a heart-to-heart with the Guild Leader.
Although, Leticia didn't mind chatting with a cute young lady.
As for whether the person on the other side might be a master of voice imitation?
Impossible!
Leticia trusted her judgment; her Guild Leader was definitely a cute and wealthy little rich girl.
"There's nothing to comfort her about. The Sword Saint just retired; she didn't pass away," Leticia stated, indicating she had no special feelings about the Sword Saint's retirement.
If the Sword Saint had truly passed away, she would definitely set off three strings of firecrackers to celebrate. Unfortunately, this particular Sword Saint lived right upstairs from her.
"She has her own life. Has the Sword Saint had any time off these past few years? The Sword Saint is a person, not a machine. Even a machine needs a break after working for so long, right?" Leticia hypocritically spoke well of Melanie.
She really didn't like Melanie, but if she openly celebrated Melanie's retirement in front of these humans, she would probably be hung up and flamed by her enraged guildmates.
In the Human World, people would never tolerate a great hero like Melanie being casually insulted or slandered.
"Oh, right, let me tell you a secret: the Sword Saint is actually a very beautiful girl."
Hearing Leticia's words, everyone burst into laughter. "Sister Qian, stop joking. The Sword Saint is definitely a guy."
"Exactly! How could the Sword Saint be a girl?"
"If the Sword Saint is a girl, I'll immediately perform a solo fight against the Troll God, okay?"
The propaganda of the United Government certainly had an effect. In the minds of almost everyone, the Stellar Sword Saint was male, which made the possibility of Melanie's identity being exposed almost nonexistent.
Leticia, who had her legs propped up on the edge of the desk, shook her head. Her guildmates were so blind that they wouldn't even believe the truth.
"I'm not lying to you. Miss Sword Saint is remarkably unique in appearance, and her figure is fantastic. It's just a shame her personality isn't great," Leticia said playfully.
"Qianqian, have you met the Sword Saint?" Just as Leticia was speaking eloquently, a soft, lingering voice came through the headset.
"Guild Leader, you're here."
"Good morning, Guild Leader."
"Guild Leader!"
The sudden female voice belonged to one of the main subjects of the recent discussion: Leticia's Guild Leader.
Her question made Leticia chuckle, "The secrets of the heavens cannot be divulged."
"Wuu~ Come on, Qianqian, just tell me," the Guild Leader actually started whining affectionately.
However, Leticia's attitude was resolute, because she suddenly noticed someone had appeared behind her.
If she kept running her mouth, the Stellar Sword Saint's greatsword would probably come swinging at her.
"Ahem, Malanie, what can I do for you?" Skillfully using her foot to exit the voice channel, Leticia lightly kicked the desk, turning herself 180 degrees to look at the white-haired girl who had silently appeared in the room.
