The rogues scattered in a panic, too cowardly to stand their ground once they realized the four strongest alphas in the Evereth had come to protect me. But that wasn't the problem.
I didn't care if they'd come just to watch me get torn apart by the rogues, or maybe just to take a stroll and then leave—I truly didn't give a fuck.
What bothers me is Rayden's statement—which the others seemed to agree with—that I am their mate.
Since when?
"Why make up a lie?" I snapped as the four of them approached me.
Truly, this was the embodiment of the strongest alpha in real life. Rayden in an all-black suit with a weapon strapped to his back; Hero arriving bare-chested, revealing skin as white as milk and the chiseled contours of his chest, shoulders, and biceps; Jaxon looking almost exactly like Hero—with no shirt, but the reddish skin; and Dr. Lane in a long-sleeved white shirt rolled up to his elbows with a few buttons undone.
